Wooden Shoe: Expansive Gulf-Front Home in Carillon Beach, Elevator, Near Pool

Wooden Shoe, so named by its Dutch owner, perched high atop the dunes offers multiple, stunning gulf views. In addition to its two master suites on the gulf, this home features an oversized kitchen with high end appliances and ample cooking/dining space for 16 guests comfortably accommodated. The elevator services all three floors including the separate living space with media room and wet bar on the lower level. In total, Wooden Shoe offers five bedrooms plus two separate bunk areas.

On the beach in front of the house, you will find two sets of complementary beach chairs (4 chairs) with pads and two umbrellas (March 1 - Oct 31). We provide our guests with beach towels.

Wooden Shoe is located in the sequestered gated community of Carillon Beach on the Gulf of Mexico, which enjoys 3900 feet of uncrowded, white, sugary-sand beaches. Amenities include 3 community pools: Bellview Park, Beach Club Pool (located on the Gulf of Mexico), and East Pool. There are tennis/pickle ball courts, full basketball court, children's play area and large green spaces. This is a walking, biking, golf cart community with cafe, exercise club, general store, and Baliage salon and spa. In addition to the manned entrance gate, Carillon also employs licensed security officers who patrol the grounds to ensure the safety of our guests. Carillon Beach is a 'Mayberry USA' beach community where lasting, even generational, memories are created. Also, Carillon Beach is a disability friendly community with a wheelchair lift to the main pool area and a handicapped accessible ramp from the pool to the beach. The upscale shopping and restaurants of Rosemary Beach and 30A are only a 3-minute drive away.

Carillon Beach is without a doubt an invigorating retreat. Whether you relax in style or energize in fun activity, enjoy the best-kept secret around, Carillon Beach. Come and enjoy yourself. The beach is breath-taking, the emerald waters await at WOODEN SHOE.

NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED OR COMMITTED UNTIL SPEAKING WITH THE MGR. PERSONALLY TO ASSURE THAT THIS IS THE RIGHT HOME FOR YOU.

PARKING POLICY: 5 vehicles Maximum OR 4 vehicles and 1 golf cart - golf cart charging must take place in the driveway.

GUARD GATE ENTRANCE PROCEDURE AND HOA PARKING POLICY: The Carillon Beach HOA has implemented a QR code entrance procedure for renters at the main entrance. All vehicles must register and pay a $42.50/vehicle gate entrance fee to enter Carillon Beach. Upon registration, you will receive a QR code that you will use at the entrance scanner.

This is a family vacation home. WE DO NOT RENT TO VACATIONING GROUPS OF UNSUPERVISED STUDENTS OR THOSE UNDER 30.

Great property and location - the only real gripe is the check out at 9am which is a bit problematic - so make sure you are aware of that - they worked with us to check out at 10am for a small fee (and did allow an early check in when we arrived to their credit).

Christmas at the Beach

The house was beautiful and had amazing views. We were overall pleased with our stay. The refrigerator did not work well, but the agency took care of us and provided us with a small refrigerator. They were easy to converse with and promptly took care of our problems. I would say that each room needed a few more towels, but other than that, we were delighted.We can highly recommend renting this property.

We were all able to dine together at the large table. The kitchen is very well stocked with high grade appliances as well as more utensils, pots and pans than you know what to do with. Best equipped house overall where we have ever stayed.Management was responsive to our questions and needs. Kudos for being so friendly and professional!The beach itself is very nice and not crowded like so many other beaches in this part of Florida. Beach service was outstanding. We are already booking our return trip for next year and look forward to another great stay at Wooden Shoe?.

Wooden Shoe was spotless and is well appointed, in a great location in Carillon, and the customer service from Carillon Beach Rentals was top notch. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of dishes, all of the gadgets, a great ice machine, etc. The entire house stayed cool even on the warmest days. The beds were comfy and linens and towels (including for the beach and pools) plentiful. WiFi worked like a champ, although we all tried to avoid working while hanging out on the comfy porches and in the sand. We had 9 guests, but there was plenty of space for more in this well laid out and spacious home.

My husband and I, along with our 3 adult children and their spouses/6 young children, had spaces of their own but the great room and kitchen/dining area were large enough to accommodate us all when together! The media room was a great place for an occasional movie for the kids. The high chair and the crib in the walk-in MBR closet was so appreciated! The kitchen was well-supplied with cookware, utensils, dishes and even toddler plates/utensils. There were also plenty of beach towels! Our family loved staying directly on the beach, which was beautiful! We appreciated the 2 sets of umbrella and 2 chairs. The walkway to the beach was just outside our back porch. We also enjoyed Carillon Beach Community’s pools, one of which was just a few yards away. Rachel and Karen,with Carillon, were just a phone call away before we arrived and during our stay and quickly responded to any question we had. I highly recommend Wooden Shoe?☺️

Carillon itself is charming and full of amenities in the best location. But THIS home is absolutely perfect for fantastic ocean views - family meals - great sleeping... all the things you would hope for on vacation. The hosts were amazing and helpful. And we made a friend (black stray cat we named Jungle) that we SO wish we could have taken home. What an enchanting week.

We absolutely loved this house and had plenty of supplies and room. It was very clean and cold. The only thing that was a small inconvenience was the upstairs not really staying as cold as we would have liked and the thermostat did quit working on the last night making it go up to 76’ and having to just sleep above the sheets for a night. Maybe get some comfier chairs for the family area on the middle floor as when we watched movies in that space it was not comfortable unless you had a spot on the couch. Other than that it was the nicest place we have been at thus far. The area is amazing and we had the beach all to ourselves as well. The guys running the beach chairs are the best and never kicked us off them until 5-5:10 which is unheard of usually those guys pick up cushions by 4.Overall would absolutely recommend this house !!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time! This was our first timing renting on the beach and we all just really enjoyed this. Our grandkids flew kites, buried each other in the sand and at night went out crab hunting. Just simple fun on a beautiful beach and wonderful home. I would add a larger rug on the back porch for sand. The only slight bummer was the large oven was not working - we have a tradition to make cookies and casseroles for easy meals. The smaller oven worked, just took more time. Not to take away from the comments above. We had a great time and hopefully this property will be available for our next family trip. We also enjoyed going to the restaurants on the property. This made going out to dinner so easy and accessible. We had live music too!! Easter Sunday outdoor mass was very special too! Thank you to Karen and Rachel for taking great care of us and also bringing us beach toys! Carillon Beach is a safe beautiful village for families!
