Caribbean Sea Front condo

The apartment located 30 feet from the sea within a small gated resort is situated in Westpunt, a tiny village at the west side of Curacao. From the apartment you have an uninterrupted view on the deep blue and crystal clear ocean where you may spot dolphins jumping out of the sea. For swimming, snorkeling or diving: just walk down the stairs from the resort to the sea or otherwise go to one of the many other nearby beaches. Great mountain biking and hiking on the nearby wild north side of the island and at the Boca Tabla Nature Preserve. The Mt. Christoffel National Park and the Savonet museum are at a 15 minutes car drive away.

Westpunt is the ideal spot for an exiting or quiet getaway from daily life.

Beautiful, comfortable.

Beautiful location, very clean and well maintained apartment, couldn't be better. Highly recommended. We didn't go diving or snorkeling while here, so we can't speak to the underwater experience - but Westpunt is well placed to reach the west-end sites within minutes.

Absolutely Perfect

My husband and I loved everything about this place. It has and upper and lower decks that faces the ocean. What better way to wake up every morning on your vacation? The location is great- very quiet, but not terribly far from the airport and downtown Willemstad. Our hosts were very gracious and accommodating. We would definitely come back here.

My spouse and I had a wonderful stay at this beach front condo. The condo is well maintained with an updated kitchen,,and most importantly spectacular ocean views. If you are into the beach, snorkelling,or scuba then this condo is the place to be. It is located close to all of Curacao best beaches (Grote knip, Playa Piskador(swim with turtles),Playa Kalkai. You have the best sunsets too. The hosts are easily reachable and informative. I would definitely recommend this listing to friends and family. ❤️ spectacular ocean views.

A wonderful snorkeling vacation

Marazul 1B was a great place to stay! We went snorkeling everyday along the cliffs along the resort plus the neighboring beaches. Our condo was 20 feet from the pool and 30 feet from the edge of the cliff. Beautiful views! The condo was clean and the upstairs balcony was a great place to have our breakfast looking out over the ocean. We turned the air conditioning on at night for very comfortable sleeping. The toaster broke on the first day but the landlord had it replaced the same day. We are definitely planning on returning to this condo in the years ahead.

Great place and well managed!

We had a blast here on our vacation so thank you! We wanted a quiet vacation and we were able to unplug. Amazing snorkeling nearby and elsewhere around the island. Little things: there was no cleaning spray and ample toilet paper. There should be a place where we can grab new linens rather than ordering housecleaning. There should be nightstands and I think there is space. For both sides. More bathroom storage would be better too. These suggestions would make this place a 5 for sure! We would love to come back!

Great spot for a relaxing vacation...

From Canada, we spent two weeks at Marazul Dive Resort. The apartment was great, view of the ocean and ease of access to swimming and snorkelling was very good. There are also many excellent snorkelling beaches within a ten minute drive. Many of the other people in the complex were owners and we enjoyed getting to know them. For the owners, we would recommend just a couple of things; sharpener for the kitchen knives; little bit bigger frying pan and possibly a few containers for storing food in the fridge. For travellers, we would recommend bringing a mosquito net for covering your bed; not a huge deal but it definitely made sleeping more comfortable. Overall, the place was great, the instructions for getting here and using the facility were excellent and we would highly recommend staying here.

First time to Curacao! Highly recommend!

Communication with property owner was excellent. The location was a little remote but there are a few restaurants nearby. It was exactly what we needed. All of the other vacationers and owners were pleasant and very friendly. A couple of notes about the property that weren’t clear. There is one communal washing machine and no dryer. Everything is hung to dry. This was fine for us. We just didn’t know that going in. Also, you have to buy tokens to use the washing machine. When you see the manager, buy a couple as he is sometimes tough to track down. The beaches nearby are amazing and snorkeling right off the property is fantastic! Loved our stay! We would definitely consider renting here again.

Upstairs bedroom fan broke in the first 2 hours. Reported it but no one came in the 4 days we were there to fix. Did not know there was no hot water in bathroom sinks. Little dribble of hot water in kitchen sink. Had to boil water to wash dishes to get them clean. Shower had warm water-not hot Condo was clean. If you have problems climbing stairs, This place is not for u. Steep stairs to bedroom. Little ants in kitchen but normal for the island Did not use bug spray. Deep woods bug spray for people worked great. View from back windows and patio were great of ocean. Little noisy occasionally since we were by pool. Condos are side by side for each unit. Can b noisy with loud people next door. Fun to see iguanas on rock wall. Check in and out was seamless

Geweldig verblijf

De accommodatie heeft een schitterend uitzicht op zee en ligt naast het zwembad. Het heeft een groot balkon waar vanaf je van het uitzicht kan genieten. Ook is er nog een benedenterras, waar je 's avonds lekker kunt BBQ'en. De accommodatie is zeer ruim en ruim gemeubileerd. Het resort was heerlijk rustig. Voor groepen die willen feesten is het niet geschikt. Het resort heeft naast het zwembad geen andere voorzieningen. Wel zijn er enkele restaurants op loopafstand of enkele minuten rijden. De eigenaren waren heel flexibel en behulpzaam. Wij konden geen auto huren op de geplande aankomstdag en konden daarom pas twee dagen later aankomen. De eigenaren waren bereid om de reservering zonder extra kosten twee dagen te verplaatsen, zodat we alsnog 7 dagen van de accommodatie en resort konden genieten.

Wonderful property to relax and snorkel

We had the pleasure of staying at 1B for two weeks! We were very satisfied on how clean the condo was when we arrived. The owners, Winfried and Rita, are very nice and were available for our questions. The condo has plenty of space for two people, and the bed was very comfortable. I would say for criticism, that the kitchen has very basic utensils. A little restocking of more plates, glasses and kitchen tools would be great. We looked everywhere for any BBQ tools, but could not find any. There is a BBQ, so we made due with what we had. There were adequate bath towels and linens as well. The cleaning person even replaced all linens during our stay, which was unexpected but appreciated. We arrived on a WEdnesday afternoon. There was no sign of the property manager. We actually did not see him until the beginning of the second week of our stay! This was the only major concern that we had about the property. There was no check-in, no check-out instructions, no communication on anything. If not for the excellent communication between us and owners, this would have been a different review. When we arrived, there was an apparent power outage the night before which turned off our wifi router which is located in the next condo. We did not have any wifi until a couple days in (until the unit had guests who could reboot the router)! This was highly annoying because this listing advertised wifi, and that is what I needed to keep in touch with my kids back home. I contacted the owner right away, and he gave me the property manager's cell phone number. I called and texted, but there was no reply. For me, as a parent, this was a huge inconvenience. During the rest of our holiday, there were a couple more black-outs (which is common on the island), so perhaps having a separate router for wifi would be considered. The upstairs air conditioner had to be replaced during our stay, but again, the owners were very attentive and had that done immediately. I can't imagine what would have happened if this responsibility was solely on the property manager. As said before, we saw him once throughout the two weeks. We had to chase after him, as his only concern was to sell Wednesday dinner tickets. Once he finished that task, he was gone again. The property of Marazul is beautiful! I enjoyed all the flowers and hummingbirds! We are avid snorkelers, so we swam right in front of the property. The coral is beautiful, there are a variety of fish, and even saw a turtle!

Lovely oceanfront Condo

This was our first trip to Curacao and it won't be our last. If you are looking for a party spot this is not for you. However if you are looking for peace and quite and a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place to be. We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo in Westpunt. The owners, Winfried and Rita are wonderful people and were extremely helpful and accommodating. It is a gated community and we always felt safe. Most of the owners and guests are over 50 and very friendly. There are many beautiful beaches in the area and they are great for diving and snorkeling. There are limited stores in the area. Make sure you get your groceries in town before making the drive to Westpunt. We would definitely recommend staying to Marazul Dive resort Condo 1B!!!

Best resort area on the best part of the island!

We are so glad we choose the west side of the island and this sea front apartment. The location provided such easy access to the best beaches, both for beauty and snorkeling. You have the ocean as your backyard- 20 steps from the back porch! The pool made sunset watching perfect. The apartment was so well kept up and comfortable. Great restaurants and access to local culture are literally within walking distance.

overall experience was great, very friendly and responsive manager

Everything was great with this resort. Only problem was the back screen door had tears along the bottom edge that worsened due to the strong breeze coming through the unit and we had to make sure we were closed up by dusk to avoid mosquitos in the living areas. I'm sure the manager Renee will have it promptly remedied as he was very attentive and helpful. only other thing would be to make sure nothing is left in vehicles, i mean nothing, we had several bottles if water stolen from our vehicle one of the nights in the gated parking lot, yes i said water, couldn't believe it as the island has very drinkable h2o.

Beautiful Oceanside Resort

My wife and I rented this townhouse for one week from April 2 to the 9th and had a very enjoyable stay. Winfried was very good to work with booking our vacation and Rene was very helpful when called upon. We found Westpunt to be very convenient to the beaches, only a short drive (a car is a must) to our favourite Karakter beach bar and restaurant and beautiful Cas Abou beach. We hope to return to Curacao and do recommend Marazul Dive Resort for the beautiful ocean view and a very quiet place to call home in the evening. If you plan on sitting out in the evenings be sure to bring insect repellent, the mosquitoes can be a little nasty after sunset. We ate out at Rancho El Sobrino twice, the food was good and the restaurant staff were very friendly. Very convenient too right beside Marazul Resort. Make sure to spend some time in Willemstad, a nice little city to visit and enjoy a meal or a drink near the Queen Emma bridge. Other than the mosquitoes the only other minor inconvenience were the tiny ants, just don't leave anything on the counter top or they'll get into whatever you leave out. Thanks Winfried and Rene for a wonderful vacation,we hope to be back soon.

Great times at Marazul!

This was our third stay in this unit, and we hope to return again! Marazul Dive Resort is a safe and quiet resort. This unit is very comfortable and well equipped for the two of us. Each time that we have come back, there have been improvements made. The most recent were the pergola on the upstairs balcony and new curtains and furniture covers on the main level. The king size bed if very comfortable and the sunsets from the upper balcony are fabulous. There are screens on all windows and doors, and nice breezes flow through. There are ceiling fans up and down which help a lot. We only used the bedroom air conditioning a few of the nights. There is a charcoal BBQ grill. Westpunt is about 40 minutes from the airport so a car is necessary. We stock up on main groceries at Centrum before heading to Marazul. The nearby town of Barber has decent groceries if more are needed. We spend most of our vacation diving and recommend Go West Diving for tanks. The diving right out in front of Marazul is excellent. You access the ocean via stairs and a ladder. We eat most of our dinners, out, and our favorite local restaurants are Sol Food , Trio Penotti, and Landhuis Misje. The owners, Winfried and Rita are very friendly, helpful and easy to work with. The property manager, Rene is as well. This is a beautiful unit for a quiet, safe and comfortable vacation.
