Visit Vista River Lakehouse that backs to the TN River. You can sit under the covered patio and watch the boats float by or listen to the rain on the tin roof! Great home for up to 13 people! Quiet neighborhood! Watch the hawks and eagles fly by! Occasionally the jets from the AFB zoom by too! Amish community, Shiloh and Pickwick nearby!

We do allow up to 3 dogs for $50 each per STAY (NOT per night)

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Recently renovated Vista River Lakehouse sleeps 8 in beds plus 4 on the queen air mattresses and also has a rollaway crib for a total of 13. It's a great place to visit in the summer to enjoy the water. In the fall you can enjoy the changing of the seasons with a cup of coffee. Winter you can snuggle up and enjoy the view. Spring is a great time to explore Shiloh. The Amish community is nearby. We do allow DOGS but there is a $50 fee per dog per stay! It is NOT super accessibility friendly unless you can get up about 5 steps to the front door. The king bedroom and full bath is downstairs with everything else upstairs inside the home.

There is a full bedroom and full bath on the first floor. The master bathroom has a DEEP 6' soaker tub with jets to relax after a day of boating or exploring! It offers a detachable shower head for those who cannot get up the stairs but want to shower. There ARE a few steps leading up to the front door. In additions to the full bathroom, there is also a half bath on the first floor. It has modern farmhouse decor after its recent renovations. The floors are all durable luxury vinyl plank that is waterproof. The kitchen has a small table that comes out from the wall for meals you may want to eat inside. The kitchen is full size with all the appliances and accessories you may need in order to cook full meals. Out on the patio, you can enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee or wine with minimal bugs thanks to the screened patio! If it rains you'll enjoy the sound of the rain hitting the tin roof over the covered patio! You also can cook the days' catch on the grill! Wander upstairs to the loft where you will find the coffee/breakfast/wine bar where you can sit and enjoy the view of the river. If you MUST work and play there is a desk for your convenience in the loft as well which also has a view. There is a full size bathroom with a shower that has amazing water pressure and a combo tub. Then you'll find two bedrooms upstairs which will sleep 4 people in beds with space to sleep 6 more with 2 being on the trundle bed and 4 on air mattresses which we provide along with additional bedding. The house has all the conveniences of home. There is a full size washer and dryer if you need them during your stay. If you need to bring your fur-pups, they are welcome with a $50 per dog per stay pet fee max of 3 dogs. We have a nice fenced in side yard for dogs and kids to keep them safe from the waters' edge. We DO ask that you do not cross the fence near the waters edge. It is a 50 to 75 foot drop to the water. It is there to maintain our guests safety while not obscuring your views of the barges and boats that run up and down the TN River.

Please make note that we charge $50 PER DOG PER STAY not per night.

Also note that we charge additional fees for parties of more than 8. Please book according to your guest count for correct fees to be accessed and so that insurance covers your stay.

There is a LONG driveway you are more than welcome to park multiple cars on. Please do not park in the street blocking the neighbors. If you need to park more, please park on the left side along the driveway in the grass. The lot next door is NOT ours.

Beautiful home and view

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. This place is not only beautiful but had a beautiful view, as well. When I return, I will absolutely book this place again.

Nice family getaway

Quiet and picturesque getaway for my wife and I with our 2 kids and their spouses and kids. Loads of linens and all the appliances and a small fenced area out back for smaller pets or children to play. Close to Shiloh National Park and other small towns with several options for things to do. Great park in Savannah just down the road.

Great time

It was a great stay for the most part. We thought there would be fishing and swimming on site which was a misunderstanding on my part. Other than a couple cleanliness issue and an ant problem it was awesome. We understand that ants can sometimes be an issue no matter where you are so we just handled it and moved on. Very nice place and host was nice.

Thank you so much for your kind words! YES the rain this year has been making the fight to keep the ants out a real battle! Thankfully it's never more than just a few here and there looking for dry space. We've been consistently spraying to keep them at bay! I'm sorry the cleaner filling in for ours while her ankle is broken missed that basket of towels! Thankfully we keep about 40 in the house so you should have had plenty for your stay :) I hate that you missed the part in our description about no water access and the photos showing you cannot cross over to the bank of the water from the house. We DO have other properties that have direct access to the water but we try to do our best both in the description and photos to show EVERYTHING we can including those things and bedding and bedroom layouts! I'm glad you guys had a great visit despite the additional rain! It's been brutal this year!

Nice getaway house

Decore was nice in the house, the place was stocked with everything you would need even games/cards in the laundry room cabinet. Everything is 15 minutes away.

Nice House

Nice house. We stayed there while attending a youth convention in Savannah. My only complaint is we had to haul off our own trash. When paying 200 in hosting fees, would be nice if trash removal was included.

This is the second year your very LARGE church group has stayed with us. The check out instructions are the same as last year and were sent them again when you booked. Most homes in our area don't allow parties as large as you guys esp without additional guest fees. We did do to be nice and helpful to a fellow Christian esp trying to help assist in fellowship with the teens! You had 15-20 people in our home and we charged you as if it was about 4 to 6 so you saved hundreds upfront. The host fees go to VRBO not us and we have no control over those. We only have a cleaning fee and that only covers the time the cleaner is at the house doing the mass amounts of bedding and towel laundry and the cleaning supplies. There is no trash service in the area and I certainly wouldn't ask our cleaner to take away 20 people's worth of trash. I hope next year you can find another home that allows such a large group and will deal with the trash. I'm sorry our property didn't meet your expectations but we have the same policies in our price range as others in the area. No garbage service means garbage has to be taken with the guests.

The frustrating part was we had my 79 year old mother in law with that also has a bad ankle and the hot water wasn’t working in the bathtub downstairs so she had to go up and down the stew stairs which was difficult for her. There also seems to be a bee issue - we watched them going into the eves and they were in the screened in porch. Being allergic I just stayed away from that but would have liked to use the porch.

The cleaner and my father in law were there the day you left and the water was so hot they couldn't keep their hands under the faucet in the tub so this seems to have been user error. Also when you mentioned the bees, I told you we have treated for bees and if you still saw them, there was a spray available. The house is in the country and we do mention in our listing there are critters in the area. We do our best but you can't keep them out completely. That's impossible.

We arrived and couldn't get in had to get in contact with the owner and finally got in. There is no dining area indoors (30-40 degrees outside )for a group that wants to eat together with the exception of a tiny fold out table in the kitchen with 2 bar stools. The kitchen was not well stocked. I took photos. The stairs to the second floor are not standard, they are very deep and hard to walk up. The threat of 500, 250 and 50 fines was ridiculous especially since when we arrived there was dog poop in the yard, a empty cigarette pack on the patio, a bunch of popsicle sticks in the yard, stains on the furniture and a couple of pieces of trash under the bag we pulled out to take with us. When on vacation we do not want to deal with this. The sarcasm of the rating system posted on the fridge was also not impressive but obnoxious. Would not recommend this home. I have rented over 20 vacation rentals this is in the bottom 2. Oh yeah and no actual coffee maker there is some knock off Kurig thing there was some hot cocoa and decaf for that. The coffee drinkers brought coffee but couldn't make any.

The front door lock is basically a computer. Sometimes they glitch. You messaged me and I had it fixed within about 2 mins. The photos in VRBO clearly show no dining area except for outdoors for larger groups so you knew before you arrived what to expect there. The kitchen has full sets of pots and pans, spices, plates, bowls, glasses. We do not stock food- no- and we never state that we do. The stairs have been like that since 1997. Can't redo them now and we show them being steep in the photos. The "threats" are required by VRBO. We CANNOT fine someone if we needed to if we don't warn about it first. In over 5 yrs we've never had to charge a fine. I ask when you first arrive if there are any issues. You contacted me not once. Had you let me know of the yard or the cigarette packages, I would have had them cleaned up. Not an issue with clear communication. The "sarcasm" is a standard funny "meme" available to vacation home owners to try to open communication with their guests. We have had HUNDREDS of guests and have a 4.89 rating on AirBNB where guests leave more realistic reviews and have had MANY repeat guests as well as those opt to stay with us for months due to what the house offers and how well we take care of guests who communicate. And the coffee maker, has an insert so you can add whatever coffee you want and brew the coffee of your choosing. We leave 6 flavors including the 2 you mentioned. Had you messaged me, I would have given clear instructions.

VRBO country

This property was a huge disappointment. What we thought would be a nice place to stay was nothing like the pictures showed on the listing. Not only was it filthy on the outside and cobwebs everywhere you turn but the inside was just as bad! It was obvious the place had not been cleaned after the last guests. The bathtubs were dirty and grimy, the master bed sheets had been slept in and stained, huge cobwebs on the inside of the windows that could easily be reached with a vacuum extension or dust rod. The refrigerator was filthy, food and spilled drinks inside, dirty tissue in the window sill and ants crawling all down the kitchen window. Not to mention a dirty coffee K cup still inside the coffee maker. The floors had not been mopped as there was food and crumbs upstairs along with feces in the upstairs toilet. The list goes on. I contacted the owner and she sent her cleaner back but all she would do is change the sheets and wipe the tub with paper towel. She stated her cleaning company closed at 4pm. She refused to clean anything else and left without telling us or finishing up the cleaning. I spoke with the owner about this but was told I refused cleaning so that’s why she left. I never refused the cleaning but of course it’s her word against mine. We ended up leaving and getting a hotel because it just felt so unsanitary.. Best decision ever! I would think twice before booking this place unless you don’t care about cleanliness and communication.

You were heard on the exterior camera saying, "if she had just offered a free night, I'd have been ok." I didn't offer so that's the reason for this review. We have over 70 reviews & a 4.93/5 rating on other sites. We are on an acre lot on the TN River which means spiders & red dirt. Spiders can make webs overnight. This home was cleaned top to bottom 2 days before arrival. The photos you sent do not match the claims you are making here. The tub was clean minus 5 dog hairs. The master bed sheets WERE wrinkled because they are 100% cotton, not because they were slept on. The pics you sent did not show they were dirty. VRBO agreed. The refrigerator WAS missed & she was willing to clean it until you screamed at her so she left. The pics of the floors showed they were shiny & clean with some red dirt footprints from your family. The stain in the FRONT of the toilet bowl was a perfect skinny line that appeared to be eyeliner not poop. VRBO agreed. There were no ants. You did not mention most of what you put in this review until now. VRBO told me no refund because they didn't think your complaints were valid based on pics YOU provided. I sent the cleaner to clean up the 5 things you DID mention & when she arrived you told her to "clean top to bottom or not at all" which was unreasonable so she left. She works all hours of the day & night. I replied to every message you sent before & during your stay. You mentioned she only works until 7P at the time & now 4P. Your story keeps changing.
