About this property
Cabin #3 - Riverfront w/ Gas Fireplace and more!
Cabin #3 is a cozy cabin with queen bed downstairs, and 2 twin beds with a playroom upstairs! Sit out on the deck and watch the fish and elk walk by! This unit has 3 beds and can sleep up to 4 comfortably. New gas log fireplace and HVAC system along with wifi and YoutubeTV to keep you and your party entertained.
* Up to 2 pets are welcome at this unit for a fee of $35.
Each of our log cabins has a full front porch just a few feet away from the Oconaluftee River, which offers some of the best trout fishing around. This river is stocked with brown and rainbow trout. Fly fishermen can enjoy the “catch and release” waters with trophy sized fish just minutes away. The cabins line the Oconaluftee River with a view across the river that is forest land with no development. The cabins are separated by full deck areas with privacy fencing in between. This cabin features a large deck with chairs and a swing and great view of the slow moving river. You can see the fish below in these clear waters, and reach it with careful climb down! A small charcoal grill is located in front of the cabin. This river also provides a great place for rafting, tubing, and swimming. This cabin features an open living/kitchen/dining space downstairs along with a primary queen bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower. The upstairs has a split/open floorplan with 2 twin beds on one side and a children's play area with games, television, foosball table and more on the other side. These rooms have a ceiling fan and utilize a half-bathroom between them.
We have 6 total hand-built log cabins that are each stocked with kitchen supplies, new couches and bedding, and basic shower/restroom goods. High-speed internet and streaming televisions in the living room as well as main bedroom make sure you don't miss a beat. New HVAC systems and gas fireplace create comfort for all, with automatic settings so you don't have to worry about how to set up. The back of the cabins are just off of Big Cove Road, which has low to moderate traffic and sidewalks into town, food and shopping. We believe you'll find the setting peaceful and enjoyable.

About the host

Bluebird Cabins is owned and operated by Chris & Cheri McCoy. As a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Chris was born and raised in these mountains on the Cherokee Indian Reservation. Chris grew up swimming and fishing in these rivers and hiking these trails. We have a passion for sharing the local culture, nature and relaxing atmosphere!
We purchased these cabins (formerly known as Ol' Smoky Log Cabins) from the original owners with a goal of bringing modern comfort and amenities while keeping some of the rustic charm. No improvements were needed on the location and views!
