Other condos say this, but this really is as close as you can get to the beach in a 3 bedroom condo at Cayman Reef Resort. This fully equipped, updated and tropically decorated 3 bedroom, 2 bath duplex unit has gorgeous views of the Caribbean Sea and 7 Mile Beach from most rooms of the condo and the balcony. It comfortably sleeps 6 in the upstairs bedrooms with 1 bedroom with king bed, 1 bedroom with queen bed, and 1 bedroom with 2 twins.

Enjoy eating in the dining room overlooking the beach and sea, or on the balcony with electric grill, table and chairs. Or eat at one of the many walkable gourmet or casual restaurants Cayman is famous for.

Cayman Reef Resort is perfectly located on 7 Mile Beach, walking distance to many restaurants/bars, Camana Bay, grocery stores, entertainment, and Georgetown. And #40 is perfectly located within Cayman Reef Resort, directly on the beach. Renting a car is not necessary unless you want to tour the Island.
Cayman Reef Resort has beautiful gardens, large swimming pool, tennis/pickleball court, and reserved parking for each unit.

You cannot find a more wonderful, reasonably priced, well managed complex on 7 Mile Beach! And you cannot find a more wonderful 3 bedroom unit at Cayman Reef.

Please note that like other properties on the southern end of 7 Mile Beach, there may be seasonal sand shifting and beach erosion in summer due to tropical storms and hurricanes. While most of the year there is a beach, there are times when water comes directly to the sea wall and loungers are then arranged on the upper beach so guests can continue to enjoy the sun, stunning ocean views, and access to the sea for swimming, snorkeling and other activities. Location location location is correct!!! This property is great. Right on a fabulous beach literally just a steps away. What you see is what you get. The pictures on the listing are very accurate. Perfect for six ladies to enjoy a great vacation. We enjoyed playing games at the big table at night in kitchen area while listening to the waves crash to the shore. Our hosts/owners were fantastic, even picked up our grocery order on the day we arrived so we were set for the week. Our flight was later so that really helped considering the grocery stores are closed on Sunday. Also coordinated with us to have our beverages delivered while cleaning lady was there. Great restaurants within walking distance. Island also has very reasonable transportation to get around. One of my favorite rentals. Thanks for a great adventure!!

Great location.

The location of this condo is very convenient to everything you might need. Food, groceries, airport. We are sad that a storm took out the beach area in front of the property but still a great place to stay. The condo could afford a little updating but other than that we would definitely stay here again.

Cayman perfection

We travel to cayman at least once a year, and this was our favorite trip. The condo was lovely. Not super lux, but plenty of space and PERFECTLY located. The beach was gorgeous, terrific snorkeling right there, the teens loved being able to walk over to camana bay and rent scooters to get around the island. Great restaurants in walking distance, the Marriott is about a 5 minute walk so we could walk over and rent jet skis or paddle boards from Red Sail sports. We all loved relaxing by the ocean or the lovely pool. We will definitely stay here again.

I knew from the photos that this condo was dated, and I didn’t really care because it was a last-minute trip and the location was convenient for everything that we wanted to do. However, cleanliness is very important to us, and this place was absolutely filthy. The bathroom cabinets and drawers were really dirty, they were filled with hair and grime and looked like they haven’t been wiped out in years. The towels were old and bleached stained. The blinds in the dining area had been broken and not replaced so in the evening when we had the lights on, it was like living in a fishbowl. I’m guessing the kitchen cabinets and drawers haven’t seen a good cleaning this century, we could actually see and feel the grease and food chunks stuck on the front of the cabinets, especially the garbage drawer. I was appalled. The first thing we did was wash the coverlet and the sheets in the master bedroom because there were black hairs between the sheets and an old blood stain. The stain came out in the wash, so what does that tell you? Disgusting. The whole place was rundown and poorly maintained, anything that needed fixing was obviously a DIY because nothing was done properly. I’m shocked that other reviews spoke of cleanliness, because this certainly was not our experience. This is not the way I live at home and I certainly would not choose to stay in a place like this on vacation.

Unfortunately, your review goes far beyond constructive criticism; it is just mean and doesn’t comport with other reviews or our personal experience. You did not have one positive thing to mention, like the beautiful view, the location directly on the beach, or how spacious the condo is. I am a nice person and always try to please. I do not understand how you could stay for a week in a condo that disgusted you so much without contacting me or the manager (you had both of our contact information). Had you done so, I would have offered you 2 choices because I want happy guests: 1. have the maid return and clean to your specifications or 2. receive a full refund so you could have moved to another condo or hotel. Your silence left me unaware of your concerns and gave me no chance to address them. I met you in person on the day you left and you said nothing about your issues; I texted you to thank you for your stay and you never replied. We have many happy guests and return guests. I am truly sorry you were so unhappy and that I didn’t have the opportunity to fix it for you. Susan

Wonderful Beach Vacation

Great condo looking out on the beach below. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch above the beach and listening to and watching the waves roll in. The property has beach chaise lounge chairs and umbrellas for use and this unit has plenty of beach towels available for the guests. The pool was very nice as well. Camana Bay shopping and dining was a very short walk from the condo with great restaurants and stores.

Spacious and great location

We experienced a hiccup with regards to the cleaning team upon arrival however Susan was very reponsive and resolved the issue immediately. The condo is large and very convenient to everything. We wished the beachfront was larger however my understanding is that this is normal on the island due to temporary storm erosion. Wonderful vacation in paradise

Had a little unexpected AC issue when we arrived and it was fixed in lightning speed. This condo is located by all our favorites, Camana Bay, Coconut Joes, Peppers and Cimboco! We enjoyed the spa at the Marriott which was walking distance. Our teenagers walked the beach and over to another favorite, Chicken Chicken. Very safe island! Beds were very comfortable. They had snorkeling gear and we made use of that. Our teens loved the pool and my husband and I spent countless hours in the ocean and on the beach. Our condo was beachfront and gorgeous views! One thing we loved was how quiet our area was minus the rooster and we miss hearing him! We would recommend this condo to couples and families! We only took pictures of outdoor areas apparently but the place was very clean and cozy!

Best Location on the Beach

We have stayed at Cayman Reef many times. Great location. Easy to walk to lots of good restaurants, etc. Unit was immaculate. Susan was great at communication from the start. The onsite folks were really responsive and helpful after I messed up the settings on the TV. Plus when the AC went on the blink they had technician there within an hour and got fixed pronto. Great place and we will be back.

Perfect location on the beach

We loved the location. The beach is perfect with no seaweed and calm crystal clear waters. We were not able to stay in unit 40 because it was having repairs but Susan was nice enough to let us stay in her other unit. There are many restaurants within walking distance. There is a pool too. It was so easy to get chairs and umbrellas on the beach.

Cayman Thanksgiving Break

Awesome property and host. Made visit easy and fantastic. Only suggestion would be to have more paper goods and chemical products in the home to make it easier in guests. Our stay at Susan’s property was wonderful. It was a clean, spacious condo with everything we needed for our stay. It comfortably slept 6 adults and two 8 month olds. It had plenty of linens, kitchen amenities, beach toys and toys for the babies. The location is perfect. It was right on the ocean. There is a Wendy’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Subway, liquor store, chicken chicken plus more right across the street within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed this condo and location. Right on Seven Mile Beach, convenient to great restaurants, Georgetown and the entire beach. We really enjoyed the stay. Accommodations are great, nicely decorated and well taken care of - exactly as advertised. The manager was easily accessible, although there were no issues that required her attention. Only one recommendation/suggestion - please supply some napkins and enough laundry detergent for a few loads. Thanks so much!

Paradise on the beach

The location of this apartment really couldn’t be better - it’s as close to the beach as it’s possible to get. It’s within a small development of about 60 or so apartments. The development is nicely laid out with well maintained gardens and loads of sun loungers and umbrellas. The apartment itself is very well presented and extremely comfortable. The kitchen seemed well equipped although we mainly ate out - there are plenty of good quality restaurants within easy walking distance. We spent a lot of our time sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach, listening to the waves. We swam and snorkelled in the sea off the beach. Really can’t fault either the property or the location, we had a fabulous vacation here.

Great location with nice beach

Property has a great location. It has a beach unlike some other properties on seven-mile beach. The condo was clean and slept 6 people comfortably. It is within walking distance to several restaurants. It was not crowded. We never had an issue securing a spot on the beach or at the pool. The ocean at the condo is free of coral making swimming and snorkeling very easy. The unit has a nice ocean view. It was a perfect fit for our family vacation. Communication with the owner was great. Well worth the stay at this location.

A Great Stay

We had a great, 10-night stay at Cayman Reef Resort #40. Location is convenient to many restaurants and a nice walk to Fosters in Camana Bay. #40 is very well stocked with towels, sand toys and even car seats. The resort also has a closet near the beach with even more toys, floaties, snorkel gear, etc. We spent a lot of time between the pool and beach with our 5 year old. We had a rental car and parking was convenient with a spot assigned to #40. It is a spacious place to stay with the lower level and bedrooms upstairs. This was our third trip to Grand Cayman and I know we will be back.

My husband and I first traveled to Grand Cayman in 1973 and fell in love with the Caymanian people and 7 Mile Beach. We have returned 2-3 times every year since then. Our family has grown up there and now bring their children. We were the first family to move into Cayman Reef Resort in 1981 and bought our second unit in 2001 to accommodate our growing family.
As you can imagine, we have seen many changes to a once sleepy Island. We love to discuss Grand Cayman and Cayman Reef Resort so please feel free to ask questions.
