Legally permitted rental - 134 Kapahulu Ave #919 Beautifully decorated extra-large studio with separate kitchen. Queen-size bed, and a sitting area with a futon sofa. On the top floor, with Diamond Head and Palolo Valley views through floor-to-ceiling sound-proofing windows, this condo is quiet for sleeping. A neat feature of the condo is that there are windows on both sides, so there is a cross breeze (if you don't wish the ac) and terrific natural light.
Free unlimited very hi-speed optic fiber internet, television with free streaming services and any accounts that you'd like to add, DVD, a/c, stereo, and other extras included for your comfort and enjoyment.
As your home away from home, the condo is furnished with beach chairs, towels, snorkel equipment, and boogie board. The kitchen-- with full-size refrigerator--has pots/pans, dishes, flatware, stove, countertop oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, rice cooker, etc.
Covid-19 information for our travelers: 1. In addition to our normal great cleaning, we will use anti-viral cleaners with particular attention to heavily used items (knobs, switches, remotes, bath fixtures, etc.). 2. We will provide sanitizing liquid and mask in the condo.

This was the perfect place for our stay in Hawaii on Waikiki Beach. We loved the home base with everything needed so close to the beach and so many things to do! Mike was beyond perfect as a host, bakes beautiful muffins, and maintains a beautiful space with so many amenities for guests.
The location of this unit is priceless. The host, Mike was a great communicator and exceeded my expectations. Dropped off extra towels during the rain. Have to mention the muffins which he dropped off 3 times during my month stay.Staff at desk always greeted you with a smile and helloI will be back!!!Mahalo
Enjoyed a seven day stay in this clean and comfortable apartment. The location is perfect for Waikiki attractions and activities. Host was thoughtful and responsive.

Great location, perfect for what my daughter and I were looking for. Close to beach but quiet. Nice to have boogie boards available. Pool is basic but refreshing and clean. Would stay again!

Everything was great. Zoo is across the street as is the beach. Plenty of shops and restaurants. Hotel staff very professional and helpful. The view from the room is great. The room had everything I needed, no more hotels for me, this is the way to go at Vrbo.

Our host Mike had clear instructions and communication from the beginning which made our check in process easy. He is very accommodating and thoughtful. The location is walking distance to the beach and all the shops and restaurants in Waikiki. The condo had all the necessities we needed on the trip. The condo was clean and quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

Mike was very helpful in communicating before, during, and after my month-long stay in his unit which is conveniently steps away from Kuhio and Waikiki beaches. He even included delicious fresh-baked muffins.
Easy check in, location perfect to the beach and surrounding shops & food. My 13 yo slept on the futon and I slept on the bed. Host added personal touches that were very sweet and appreciated. Great experience.

Great location, comfortable unit
The rooftop sun deck has GREAT views and is very convenient access from this unit.
I rented parking from the hotel (not included with the unit) and that made logistics with the rental car much easier.
Everything in Waikiki is an easy walk from the unit...it’s super convenient.

The place was very clean and stacked with everything that you would need for cooking and
the beach. The bathroom was well supplied and even had a new toothbrush in case you forgot yours. Half a block from Waikiki beach, beautiful view of Diamondhead. Mike was easy to work with and always answered every question I asked. Great host! Would highly recommend!
919 is an efficient property in an amazing location - steps from the zoo, the aquarium, beaches, bus and trolley stops, resturants, and beautiful parks. As it is a downtown location, there are urban noises at all times of the day. The baboon howls and lion roars from the zoo, however, are memorable!
The best location ever. Rented a car only last 4 days. Parking is not easy at area. Fortunatelly, found parking in the building. Please, rent only small cars.

Mahalo for taking the time to write a review, and with good advice on car rentals. To note, a car isn't necessary in Honolulu unless you wish to go to a more remote part of the island. If what you're looking for isn't within walking distance, the excellent bus service can take you (and without having to find a parking space at the destination :-).
Parking is difficult in Waikiki, especially during the summer months. Street parking can only be found several blocks away from the ocean, as well as blocks away in Kapiolani Park. Generally, the best bet is with a garage--either in the Grand or another garage within a couple of blocks from the Grand.
This studio was perfect for me, a solo traveler. It was “small but mighty” & turned out to be an oasis to recover from a fractured foot, which was the result of a bad fall on my 5th day here. Having supplies/groceries delivered was easy. My host was very responsive to the one small issue I had. Thanks for being a great host!
Communication was excellent, the location was prefect. You can walk everywhere. Beach, food, shops all right there. The lanai was a bonus to enjoy our breakfast on and had beautiful views along with hearing the zoo animals . Elevators worked great. Mike has lots if baskets to put your stuff and all kinds of conveniences like pots and pans, beach toys, hats, even an iron ! I think it’s perfect for 2 people.
Location was everything. We didn't need a rental car since bus stops were only a block or two from the property. Uber took care of our longer distance trips. Very short walks to beach, restaurants and shops. Loved the 10th floor sun deck with completely unobstructed view of Diamond Head. Sun deck overlooks the zoo. Enjoyed seeing the flamingos. Best host ever. Mike was so kind and quick to respond to our questions. He remained in constant communication as needed during our stay. Mahalo Mike!
Mother and adult daughter. We stayed a month. Mike is a great host who provides caring, attentive hospitality. Communication was very clear and timely. The condo was clean and perfect for an extended stay. No complaints. Pros: friendly building, great access to the bus, directly across the street from an enormous park, half block to the beach, full size refrigerator, two burner stove, windows that open on both sides of the condo so always able to catch a breeze (air conditioning works great but I liked opening the windows better). Plenty of places to eat on the same block and hundreds of choices within easy walking distance. Great host!

What a great location - being right on the edge of the action but with that wonderful park and quieter strip of beach so close 🙂
No need for a car if you are staying around Waikiki, walking is easy and pleasant, or for further afield the excellent bus service is at the door.
Also loved the atmosphere, friendly front desk and era of the Waikiki Grand Hotel. The view of Diamond Head in all its glory and the beach and parklands from the floor 10 terrace is really something. There are tables and chairs here for an afternoon cocktail or dinner.
We used the cooler (Esky) to keep our picnics at the park cool on a few occasions and great to have beach towels to lighten our luggage.
Very quick communication made this last minute trip very easy for us to organise, Mahalo Mike!
We hope to be back for a longer stay soon.

Loved Our Stay!
We've just come back from a month in this condo and we absolutely loved it! The booking process was easy and mike was very helpful in answering my questions and concerns in a timely and polite manner!
The condo itself was perfect for our stay! It was stocked with everything we could need! Towels, bodyboard, snorkel equipment, beach chairs etc all nice touches. It was clean and big enough for all three of us! The views from the condo are great and even better are the views from the rooftop terrace one floor above. So many good memories sitting up there talking to other guests and watching the whales whilst having breakfast!
The wifi in the condo was extremely helpful as well!
We had one little issue with the door lock so we rang steve and he came around within an hour to sort it!
All in all we highly recommend this condo! We will be returning soon!

Perfect Location!
Condo has unobstructed views of Diamondhead, the Zoo, and the ocean, from the 10th floor shared Lanai. Easy quick access with our bikes to ride Out to East Oahu. Kapiolanni Park right next to us which was perfect for running pre Half Marathon. We stayed for 9 weeks and would stay in the same unit again, fit the 2 of us just fine. It was clean, looked as in the pictures online. We made due withe cook top about 5 outta 7 dinners per week. A few items need replacing ie) blender, toaster, some more wine glasses, and updated utensils, if those updates get done I’d give it 5 outta 5 for the unit itself. The condo pool - never went to, looked like tucked away in concrete jungle between buildings but the beach is right there so we didn’t care, way better scenery in all aspects at the beach anyway. Mike was very easy to deal with and was very responsive with anything we needed.

The condo is amongst the largest on the property. On the top floor of the wing, and with sound-proofing windows, it is a tranquil place to return after the day's adventures.
