The Flying Honu is located in the heart of Kona three blocks from the Ironman starting line. Built on the fragrant pathway from the mountain to the sea (Mauka to Makai ) it is a great example of Hawaiian single wall construction. Open floor plan with large windows to let the ocean and mountain breezes inn. Large master bedroom with ceiling fan. The lanai sleeping area has two full size beds . We provide everything you will need for your day at the beach mask, snorkels, fins, beach chairs, boogie boards .

It was lovely, clean, beautiful view of the water, very safe, free parking, a wonderful place to wine down and relax, great coffee and comfortable beds, and lots of fresh air, I would recommend coming here and unwinding from city life. They even have everything you need to go to the beach or surfing, we where greet and welcomed by the owner with smile and open arms, that made us feel right at home, thank you, I will be coming and recommend this place to all our friends and family.

Beautiful surroundings

Quiet little place with a beautiful garden. Very close to a white clean sand beach. The owners are very nice and helpful with things to do. The place was very nice and clean. I would recommend a stay here

Check-in was smooth and the owners were very responsive and helpful. The decor was flavorful. The lanai room was fun for my kids. A few minor complaints: the windows had only screens so it was a bit loud and hard to fall asleep (surprisingly more traffic than the small neighborhood location would suggest, the toaster lever needed to be held down to get it to work, and the clothes dryer was crazy loud (but it did work). The biggest complaint were the numerous spider webs and big spiders outside in the backyard. No spiders were seen inside. Would recommend.

Great location, easy walk into town

We had everything we needed and were happy with our stay. Having a place to park off-street was a very nice perk, especially since the unit is so close to everything that we just left the car there and walked everywhere. Looking forward to our next visit to Kona!

the host was very nice and made us feel welcome, no problem that we arrived a little late, the Room was perfect, very clean, clear instructions for our convenience, the bed were comfortable and the room was clean, we had everything we needed. Would use this place again!!
