Little Marlin by the Bay Getaway!

Welcome to @Little Marlin by the Bay - a seaside themed tiny home where you will enjoy all of the comforts of a full-sized home. Get away from the fast-paced daily grind and relax poolside, lounge on any of the lovely decks surrounded by tropical landscape, take a stroll to the nearby beach, walk down to any of the wonderful restaurants/distillery nearby. Drive to Kemah Boardwalk (12 min.), the world famous NASA Johnson Space Center (20 min.) and don't miss your cruise out of Galveston (35 min).
The space
Welcome to the perfect tiny home getaway for you and your family. The property is tiny, but mighty as we like to say. You will find many amenities and personal touches throughout.

The master bedroom comes equipped with a super comfortable King Sized bed! That’s right! That’s some of the mighty at the Little Marlin!

In the Den we have a Full Size sleeper sofa that is perfect for a couple or the kids. The sleeper comes with a memory foam topper for extra comfort. The Den has a small fire place and a TV’s.

Each of our 4 TV’s are equipped with Roku streaming devices for watching any of your favorite streaming apps. Feel free to download your apps and login, with your own login of course, and watch away!

Also in the Den you will find a small dining area complete with a super unique adjustable metal table, two chairs and bench seating against the wall.

Coming soon! We will have another sleeping area in our loft, so stay tuned for that!

The kitchen comes equipped with all of the essentials you need to make a great meal for your family.

Just off the kitchen we have a nice coffee bar setup for you. Please feel free to make your perfect cup of morning coffee here. We also have a mini fridge in this are for your creamers and additional small items and snacks!

The Little Marlin has two bathrooms. One of the bathroom comes equipped with a whirlpool tub with jets for relaxing in after a long day of hanging out. The other bathroom, while small, has all of the typical amenities of a full size bath and even some really cool toucan’s on the wall!

Outside you will find plenty of areas to enjoy on one of the many decks around the house. We have multiple grilling areas, one with a charcoal grill, and the other with a Blackstone griddle. Multiple sitting areas are setup for your enjoyment, and don’t forget the Pool in the middle of it all!!!

The property is located in a great location, nestled between some great restaurants within walking or biking distance.

Place was quiet and cozy for our short stay during Labor Day weekend. The bed was comfortable, AC was cold, and decor was nice. The private gate added a sense of privacy and safety. Cleanliness could have been a bit better but other than that it was a lovely stay.

We had a great stay for the week. Due to the weather, we didn't get to enjoy the pool like we would have liked. Overall, the place was perfect size and comfortable for the two of us. Specifically, I enjoyed the fireplaces and the smaller living room space that had a computer monitor provided so that I could hook up my laptop and continue to do work from. The bed in the main bedroom was comfortable and we slept great. We appreciated the fact that there was a washer and dryer on site. The host was quick to respond and communicated well! We would stay again! Thank you!

Lovely little haven

A little haven of a property! We planned to go to the beach at least one day whilst we were there, but instead we ordered Instacart, and barely moved from the pool! Superb! Host was great! Speedy to reply to any questions and has thought of everything you might need for a few days of sitting in a pool and enjoying those around you

I have had a very unhappy experience due to several issues.Upon arrival, the pool was filthy and unusable also, there are were broken and dangerous pocket doors which are falling off the tracks, and separately, there is exposed wiring coming from the pocket wall getting caught in the rollers, posing a safety hazard.The place had also not been cleaned before we got there; I believe the cleaning staff should be terminated, as there was bird poop on the tables that appeared to have been there for weeks, and all of the outdoor furniture cushions were moldy and not usable.Additionally, nothing in the kitchen worked, forcing us to use an outdoor kitchen that had no lighting.Furthermore, the host took two days to respond to our issues, which is an unacceptable delay given the severity of the problems and made no attempt to correct any of the problems.Finally, the dryer would not heat enough to dry clothes, and the lint filter was completely clogged, posing a serious fire risk.The final straw was discovering the property had two undisclosed cameras facing the pool, which is a total violation of Vrbo's policy

Hello, sorry to hear you had an unhappy experience at our property. As a small, short term host, we strive to provide the best possible experience we possibly can. In response to your claims, I have to push back and say that your claims are ultimately not true. After a post stay inspection, we did not find any of your claims to be true at all. The pocket doors are not broken and will not come off of the rollers unless you take them off the rollers. The wires that you claimed are a hazard are not even active electrical wires and would not have even been seen had you not messed with the rolling pocket doors. The property is cleaned before every stay, and we do pre and post stay inspections. As far as the bird poop is concerned, this is a coastal property and there are birds. We have no control over the birds and have told them time and time again to not poop on the property, but they don't seem to understand. The outdoor cushions are outdoors and could get moisture or even become wet due to the elements. In the kitchen we tested everything: Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, stovetop, sink, lights, etc. and all were working after your stay. You are correct about the outdoor kitchen lighting not working and were notified of that prior to your stay and had no problem with that fact. We have that in writing from you directly. The dryer does get lint in the filter and if you use it you will have to clean it, just like at your own home. The cameras are all outside and are stated in the listing on VRBO. The cameras are there in plain view to alert when the property is not occupied and are not monitored when guests are at the property. The pool does get leaves and debris in it, and we provide an automatic pool cleaner that guests can drop in to clean the pool during their stay, and we have regular pool maintenance and would be happy to come clean upon request ourselves. As far as us not responding to any of your claims goes, you did not let us know any of this and immediately made these false claims to VRBO directly. Unfortunately, VRBO is not the property owner and depends on the owner to address any potential issues that may arise, however, if we are not notified then we can't help. Ultimately this activity seems to be the behavior of someone looking for issues in order to get free stays or discounts from the platform. As a premier host, we have not had this experience with any of our past guests and have had numerous stays over the years on multiple hosting platforms.

We love being close to the water. Also, this property is extremely close to some really good restaurants! We are big Foodies, so this was a huge factor in acquiring this property!!!

What makes this property unique

This property is a peaceful getaway. It's relaxing, secluded and has that bay breeze that makes it super awesome to hang out at. Enjoy the pool, cooking out on our various grills or just sit and listen to the birds on one of decks! This place has so many options to relax and have fun!
