One Particular Harbor is a “Magic kind of Medicine” The moment you enter, the view will take your breath away. New living room furniture and new dining table and chairs in 2025. The spacious Great Room features an entire wall of windows to the Gulf and a large Covered Deck – Great Place to Relax and watch the world go by. Jimmy Buffet must have been thinking of this very spot when he wrote this song. The dolphins and shrimp boats will keep you glued to your seat. This is a very relaxing, casual beach home, decorated with the intent to be “magic medicine” for stress relief and memory making. The landscaping was designed for maximum privacy which is hard to find. There’s a 46” Flat Screen TV/DVD/VCR, Stereo with smart phone hookup & lots of beach music), books, CD’s – all to get you in the mood for rest, relaxation and fun. The kitchen features multiple seating at the “L” shaped, granite bar or large Dining Table. We’re fully stocked with Dinnerware, Pots & Pans, Utensils and appliances for cooking up some of our fabulous, fresh, local seafood. Lots & lots of original art work all around.

The Master Suite offers King size Bed, 3 sided Mirrored Granite Vanity and the Best View you’ll ever wake up to. The 2nd Bedroom sports a King size Bed, TV/DVD and a view of the Beach. The 3rd Bedroom has flat screen TV & twin beds. Kids of all ages love the 4th, Downstairs Bedroom/Bath featuring a flat screen TV, small fridge, microwave & coffee pot. We call it “Jimmy’s Hideaway” No interior stairway. Probably best for teens or grandparents who don't do stairs!There’s a Fish Cleaning Table with sink & running water, that’s really handy after you catch a few Pompano or Red Fish, & a Hot/Cold Outdoor Shower that’s convenient & fun after a day on the Beach for you or Fido, and a Boardwalk to the There’s paved, covered parking, a picnic table and, Best of all, it’s all just a short walk to everything the Island has to offer.

If you get enough relaxing (Did I say that?), the State Park over the last 7 miles of the Island to the East offers unspoiled, natural beaches, NOBODY around, nature trails, wildlife galore & great shelling and was among Dr. Beach's Top 10 again in 2017. There’s a paved Bike Path from the State Park for 24 miles, wonderful restaurants featuring fresh local seafood that’s worth the trip, shopping, and, of course, you’ve got to climb the Lighthouse and go through the Museum & Gift Shop just a short walk on the beach from the house. There are boat ramps, kayak rentals, jet skis, sailboats, fishing, crabbing, shelling & so much more. A little further out, back on the mainland, there’s great shopping, eating, and exploring in ”old Florida” towns like Apalachicola, full of history & intrigue. Further out, St James Bay to the East & St Joe Country Club offer Golfing to the public AND don’t miss Wakulla Springs, St Marks Lighthouse and much, much more.

Puppy Retreat

Property was as we expected - old but possessing great beach character. The view of and accessibility to the beach was awesome!!! It was the perfect spot to bring our pup along - her first experience at the beach. I wholeheartedly recommend this property to future vacationers.

Amazing view and beach

The house was great. It’s older but the living room and kitchen area is very roomy and can accommodate 6-8 people easily. The view is amazing. Everyone in our family kept talking about how the view was worth the price of admission. The one thing I will note is that our guest who was sleeping downstairs did end up coming upstairs to sleep on the couch because the room was a bit humid but it was a non issue. I would stay here again. Jim was very accommodating and communicative.

Great house great location

We had an awesome time. Our first family vacation as a family. We made memories and we got to see the turtles hatched. We met some locals who were turtle volunteers and explained things about the turtles. The house had everything we needed and more. We seen awesome sun rises and dolphins daily from the porch. Can’t wait to book again. Thanks for having us!!

Fantastic views, cozy comfortable house

We had a wonderful vacation here. The beach front location was perfect! I loved having a gorgeous view from every room facing the beach. There was a rainy day with rough surf, and I loved seeing the “angry” ocean from a comfortable, warm location. Beds and bedding was nice; I slept well the whole week.

Turtles love it too!

The property was as advertised. Super easy beach access and convenient walking distance to the island's retail establishments. Great views of the rising and settling suns. Bonus was the reflection of the full moon on the gulf. Way cool! Momma turtle loved it too. She laid her eggs out back on our first night. Also way cool! Can't go wrong with this property.

Perfect family beach vacation stay

The location of this house is perfect. Walking distance to many places but we rented a golf cart for the week and could get to all the main shopping/dining places without having to drive a car. The beach view is perfect. We saw so many dolphins and spent every day on the beach!

A week at the beach

My family and I enjoyed staying in this beach house. The location is excellent, and it has everything you would want in a beach house. The owner has included many unexpected extras, such as movies, music, art, beach furniture, and recommendations on restaurants and activities.

Great beach house.

The house is in a great location. The covered porch is a great place to relax and watch the gulf. We saw an osprey catch fish and a water spout drop from a thunderstorm. The beach is always seconds away. The house is close to the center of the island where most businesses and restaurants are located.

My 65th birthday and retirement vacation.

We love Jim‘s property, one particular Harbour. We have been there several times as a family. It was my late husband‘s favorite place on the beach. I just celebrated my 65th birthday while there and my recent retirement. I couldn’t think of a better place to have spent it that at one particular Harbour.

One Parrticular Harbor March 2024

OPH is the perfect beach house. We spent countless hours sitting on the porch watching the schools of dolphins swim buy. Sunrises are nothing short of spectacular. Beach lovers step off the private boardwalk right onto the dunes/beach. Owner was very easy to work with. The house is clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Be sure to wear bug repellent when going to the beach or outside at night. No see ums are brutal.

Incredible views and area

We loved our stay at this property! It was exactly as advertised and reviewed. Being located right on the beach, the views were incredible, and the convenience was a wonderful change for us. We loved just waking up, getting our coffee, sitting on the porch and watching the day begin. Loved being right on the beach and not having to carry our beach items or fighting for space on the beach. The quiet, easy going atmosphere of the area will definitely bring us back! Thanks Jim!

Location, location, location!

The view you first have when you pull in the driveway is spectacular. But then that is exceeded by the view from the greatroom. And then that is exceeded by the view from the master bedroom. What a wonderful, beachy place that has an absolutely magical calming effect on your soul.

Wonderful beach access and view!

We have stayed at multiple properties on the island and this was one of the best! The layout of the house was great. Our family only used the main floor rooms so I cannot speak to the comfort of the ground floor bedroom, but the ranch style of the main floor was perfect for us. The beach was steps away, and we really enjoyed the covered porch and view of the ocean. The kitchen was particularly well equipped and the furniture was comfortable. The host, Jim, was easy to reach when we had questions and was very helpful. All in all we had a great stay and hope to be back soon!

Another Great Week

Using VRBO gives us peace of mind and we always know the status of the upcoming stay through messages. Communicating with the owner is very easy and they are very responsive. Online paying makes it easy to pay throughout the year and reduces the need to pay a large sum at one time .

Wonderful Vacation!

We just spent a fabulous week at One Particular Harbor and couldn't have asked for much more! The beautiful view, the beach just yards away, the comfortable accommodations - everything was just right. I will just say that our 86 year old granny had a really hard time accessing the upstairs tubs (no rails or non-skid surfaces) but I'm sure you'll be adding those when you remodel those bathrooms. We enjoyed fresh grouper and crab cakes from Dails, and trips in to Appalach for shop-browsing. We especially loved how undeveloped SGI is - sort of a hidden treasure! Hope to return in a couple of years :)

The Perfect Magic Kind of Medicine

One Particular Harbor was the perfect vacation beach house for me and my family. We ranged in age from 17 to 81, and everyone (including the dog) was thrilled with the house and the beach. The house was ideal for us. The spacious great-room (large kitchen connected to eating area and living room) was perfect to ensure that no one was left out of anything happening, as well as being a great place to watch the dolphins swim by almost every day. The 17- and 22-year-olds appreciated the wave runner rental location that was about a 1/2 mile walk down the beach, and the Blue Parrot has great grouper dishes and a fun beachside bar. The owners clearly and accurately represented their property and were extremely easy to work with. I recommend One Particular Harbor to anyone seeking the perfect family vacation home.

What makes this property unique

I love to sit on the porch and watch the world go by. What a View! Our landscaping is designed for total privacy for our guests. Lush plants and palm trees provide a break from everything but the beach & the ocean.
