Private cabin was nice. The dock is a little run down if you plan to bring a boat. I have been staying in these cabins since I was a kid, back early 90s. They have been updated a lot over the years, but I knew what to expect it’s not a 5 star hotel, it is just a cabin, but quite and comfortable not fancy.
I enjoyed myself fishing, that’s what I came for. The cabin was nice for the most part. However the stove was old, and is a safety concern. The floor has structural issues, there’s tape holding flooring down and marking soft spots in the floor

The cabin was really nice, only issue was the stove not having numbers on the dials to indicate level of heat. The area around the cabin could use some cleaning up.
first problem was we couldn't get into our unit upon arriving, lock was broken, it wasn't coded, once door was open a big water bug went into the sofa, (and it was his for the whole trip, we wouldn't go near It,.cable never worked the whole time, they couldn't fix it.gap under door was insect alley. Rental pontoon didn't work had to wait 40min for repairs, which shorten our usage.had to wait an hour when we returned the boat so they can refuel.
All tho, the property grounds aren't as clean as I would of liked....the office staff was amazing and the restaurant there was absolutely amazing! The food vouched for itself! I think I had to everything! The cabin, porch was rotting, no TV remote- finally found it under bed w no volume to TV, floor falling in, spider webs everywhere, stove on last leg, stove eyes- rusted out, no outlet in bedroom, no privacy curtains, shower water handles- backwards, smelled moldy. Waterfront- trashed from trash washing up- which can not be conteolled- when ppl are throwing trash in the water, ppl had no respect for others on lake- no safety, beach was awful- buzzards sunbathing! All in all- I will never stay there again ....my husband stayed there years ago for a fishing tournament- wasn't what he expected either from last time til now - property had been sold ..but office staff was amazing
Pros: gorgeous cabin with a lake view.
Cons: Property had fresh linens and a freshly made bed but there were lots of spider webs through the cabin and porch area. The porch had several places where the screws were not all the way in and were sticking up which made it hurt if you stepped on one. The fire pit outside was also full of trash. Area is hard to navigate at night due to there being zero fluorescent signs to show you were to go.
Would stay again but would ask the property start doing a better job with upkeep and cleaning before.
Would stay again in the winter time, but currently there are some problems:The foundation on the lake side of the house has sunken down which has caused the front door to not touch the floor, is has so much clearance that it's not just open to large bugs, but when a storm cam through, water and debris was coming under the door. I recommend putting a good seal down. The foundation issue has causes the floor panels to crack and break in between the foot of the bed and the bathroom door.. It pinches toes and socks. I recommend putting a rug down with underside rug tape to keep it moving. Replacing the floor board would just break again because the foundation has the subfloor not level. This has caused issues with the sliding glass doors in the shower. The one facing the outside of the shower, when pulled towards the end of the shower hits glass to metal, bottom corner first. I worry it could shatter, and would put a stopper there.
