Fishing & Foliage

Stayed here over thirty years ago when it was called Briarwood and offered food and beverage service. Anyway, it was nice return and enjoyed my stay. Nice room so I would definitely return again.

Nice stay

Rooms could be updated. Really should take out the air conditioner in the room as you could feel the cold air coming in.

Disliked: Communication

Possibly a bit overstated

Upon check-in nobody had a clue what was happening. Left me feeling like the whole reservation process was mishandled. After calling a few people off-site (and with different area codes) it got straightened out. I was given zero information about the property, pretty much just handed a key with a number on it and left to my own devices. I did appreciate being let in on the latest gossip from former employees, I assume, and one under investigation. I wish I could have hung out and got the rest of that story… Supposedly there is an indoor pool and hot tub. There was even a print-out with hours available on the front desk. I was not instructed on how to access it. I found it, but it was locked up tight. Management was fairly non-existent during the day. Count on zero support after 4:00pm. A friend checked in to a room down the hall from me a couple of days after I arrived. His room wasn’t even cleaned and ready for him. The pizza box with one dried up slice of pizza in it sitting on the table was a nice touch. So were the dirty towels and used washcloths in the shower. It could have been great, but it wasn’t.
