Summary: Apres Chalet is a professionally decorated cabin nestled on a large, quiet wooded lot, featuring all the comforts of home. And only minutes from Bryce Resort & Lake Laura!
The highlights: - Gather on the wraparound deck and enjoy the grill! - Stream movies or take video calls on fast WiFi (great for remote work!) - Drive 5 mins to Bryce Resort, Lake Laura & mountain bike trails for tons of fun year-round
Enjoy!
The Space: This charming, family-friendly chalet is packed with amenities and fun for couples and small families.
The cabin includes: - King bed and full bath upstairs - A second full bath, Queen bed and a Double bed in two downstairs bedrooms - Fully-stocked kitchen with stove/oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave - Smart TV where you can quickly sign-in to your favorite streaming service - WiFi that's more than fast enough to stream movies and hold video calls – perfect for working remotely - Huge Deck for lounging and grilling
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly! Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
Please note: Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close we are to Bryce Resort – only about a 5 minute drive away! The resort has tons of things to do – from skiing and snow tubing in the winter, to swimming, kayaking, mountain biking and golfing in the summer. About 10 minutes from Lake Laura, where you can enjoy a beach area as well as canoe and kayak rentals to paddle around the lake. And of course, many great restaurants, bars, and shops as well. Plenty to keep everyone entertained!

This was a cute little cabin in the woods, and, for the most part, suited our needs well. One item to mention....the listing says that the cabin has air conditioning. It does, except the 2 downstairs bedrooms do not, so they got quite hot in the middle of July. It was a nice stay apart from that. Thanks!

Does not really have A/C
It was what we expected for an older cabin except that the"A/C" was 2 inside units that eventually got the master bedroom and main living area cool, but never cooled down the back bedrooms. It was 78F at the the coolest point

Pics don’t match the home. Dirty house. Not worth the cost.
The pics on VRBO were photoshopped to be brighter. The overall state of the cabin is barely clean. It was a mix of updated accessories with a well worn and dirty baseline. The carpet downstairs was stained so badly we wouldn’t walk around without shoes. The edge of every room hasn’t seen A vacuum maybe ever. The sinks in the kitchen and baths need a good scrub around the fixtures. There is a dishwasher and detergents but no water running to it so we had to handwash dishes. The WiFi is stated to be able to work remotely but we could barely stream a show. The entry floor needs mopped, it’s so gross. The air conditioning is two portable units in the living area and upstairs bedroom. The two downstairs bedrooms were so hot the adults could barely sleep. The deadbolt doesn’t have a working key. We paid almost $200 a night for a $60 road side motel condition home. We can handle dates paneling and cabinets, but the cleanliness was downright unacceptable. The couch was also stained up. Host responded to both reports of dirty carpet and dishwasher but no reply other than they’d reach out to the handyman and cleaning service. The mattresses were comfortable. The area was nice. I couldn’t wait to leave due to the lack of a clean space to stay.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
