Wonderful property, clean &cozy rooms. Loved the views outside and thoughtful collection of books all around. Comfortable living room and all we needed in the kitchen. Easy travel in and out for day trips to hiking and Taos. Hosts were very thoughtful.
The Chama River Wilderness Area, Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, Abiquiu Reservoir, Pedernal Cerro and the Santa Fe & Carson National forests are all within easy reach from Lauren's casita. We are hikers and the casita more than fit all of our needs. We would rather spend the time exploring the region than commuting back and forth to Santa Fe. This region is rugged country and the casita met all of our expectations and needs - quiet, comfortable and the ability to relax in the shadow of this scenic and special area of New Mexico.
Casarosa was the perfect escape. The property and view are unmatched. Just minutes from the Georgia O’Keffe Museum this is the ideal location for an artists retreat. There were plenty of places for me to write including a private backyard patio with a fire pit! I had the most relaxing weekend and will definitely be recommending this space to friends! I would warn anyone that the driveway is very uneven but it could be due to spring rain and washout.
This small treasure was a perfect compliment to Abiquiu's grounded, spectacular landscape. The casita's interior is well equipped for cooking . The living room is an invitation to be in company. The library reflects the owner's excitement for discovering the riches of the Abiquiu history( Georgia O'keefe, picture books, history). The small enclosed patio has gathered in small local environmental finds. This is a place to wander out into landscape and return at the end of the day to consider beauty and presence.....
