About this property
3 Bedroom, 4 Bath, 30 ft. Soaring Palapa, Spectacular Ocean Views, 40 foot pool
On the north-side hill overlooking Sayulita with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, Casa Magia has all the amenities to make your vacation special including:
• 3 bedrooms - each with en-suite bathroom • 1 full bath on Palapa-level. • 40-foot heated swimming pool • Fully equipped kitchen • Wi-Fi throughout the house and by the pool • Air-conditioning in each bedroom • Multiple terraces with lounge chairs & hammocks • Gas BBQ • Water filtration system
Given we're on a steep hill, we recommend renting a golfcart. It's a 5 minute ride to the beach and a few extra minutes to the town center. You get the best of both worlds: peace and quiet while still having quick access to everything Sayulita has to offer.
The pictures try to tell the story of this one-of-a-kind villa, but your arrival will still take your breath away.
Here are some details about the house:
The top level of the house has the large Palapa room with floor to ceiling doors and windows that provide 270 degree views of the ocean and jungle, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and multiple terraces for relaxing, reading, grilling (gas BBQ) or watching the sunset over the Pacific.
The kitchen has a stovetop, oven, side-by-side fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. The kitchen also has utensils, cookware and glassware. There is also a full bathroom on the top level to freshen up after arrival from the beach.
The middle level of the house contains the master suite with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom, along with a second bedroom with a queen bed, a single bed and en-suite bathroom. Each room has floor to ceiling doors and windows, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and private terrace with lounge chair or hammock.
The lower level is where you will find another bedroom and adjacent kitchenette. Possessing the same spectacular views as the other levels, the bedroom has a queen size bed, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, floor to ceiling doors and windows, and en-suite bathroom. The kitchenette has all the appliances, utensils and cookware you’ll need to cook a complete dinner or whip up a quick pool snack. The deck in front of the unit gives it an incredible open feeling where you can relax on lounge chairs or hammock.
Descend below the house to discover the fabulous 40-foot heated swimming pool and large deck with lounge chairs. Enjoy a dip to cool off or swim some laps. The water is treated with a pleasant saltwater filtration system for a refreshing experience without any chlorine irritation.
Rooms are stocked with bath and beach towels. Bathrooms have soap, shampoo, toilet paper, hairdryers—everything you need.
The house is cleaned prior to your arrival, and again after you depart. The house is also cleaned every 3 days during the guest visit. More frequent cleaning is available for an additional fee.
Wifi is available throughout the house and by the pool. Cellular service is good—check with your carrier before leaving home to be sure you have the correct service package (e.g. AT&T includes Mexico in most value share packages).
Security is provided via remote control gate, combination keypad door, and cameras around the perimeter of the house. There are safes in the bedrooms for your valuables. There is parking for an auto or golf cart inside the gate.
Miguel, our property manager (+52-322-108-7680), will take care of every need during your stay. Miguel will meet you when you arrive to check you in, provide you with keys, door opener, and walk you through the logistics of the property. Any questions are a call or text message away.
Small children: unfortunately, we don’t recommend families with small children pay a visit to Casa Magia. Although it provides an incredible open air environment, the balconies have open railings on every level that present a safety hazard for little ones.
Check in: 3 pm. Check out: 11 am.
Transportation:
From/to Puerta Vallarta airport: we can arrange transportation to / from the airport with a well-regarded car service (using comfortable SUVs). The driver will take you to an outstanding full-service grocery/home items superstore (Mega) so you can get whatever you need.
Golf cart: the rental company, which knows our house very well, will deliver the golf cart to the house and provide instructions on use.
We can also provide recommendations on eating, in-house chef and massage, surfing, golf and island tours.
The owners Anna-Lena and Steve (+1-415-806-1150) are available for all the questions you may have before leaving home or during your stay.

House was beautiful and peaceful. The hosts were wonderful at making sure we had everything we needed - including helping set up travel to and from the airport. The property manager was great and met us on arrival to show us around and answer questions.
Fantastic and unique stay with an amazing view! My wife and I stayed with our adult children and their partners and had an absolutely perfect stay. The owners and Miguel (the property manager) were helpful and very responsive. The views from Casa Magia were stunning and we made great use of the pool every day. The house and all the rooms open up to the outside which we really enjoyed. The house is located at the top of the North end and the hill is steep but we were able to walk it. Strongly suggest renting golf carts for daily trips into town.Highly recommend Casa Magia and we hope we can stay again in the future.
Lovely home at the top of North End with beautiful views. My family and I enjoyed our stay. The owners and property manager were very responsive prior to and during our visit. If you arrive at night, I suggest stopping at a food market, prior to arrival, to purchase items such as coffee and breakfast foods.
We came for a wedding with 2 other couples and this place was amazing. The communication was great. The pool pump stopped working but the manager came right over. We were also able to get transportation and gold carts from the host, making it all so easy.
The house was nice and clean but it’s very rustic. All the rooms open up to the outside. You’ll have great breezes into all the rooms. Only complaint is the 6 of us needed to strategize about showers so we could have hot water.
We stayed at the property for 5 days in January and had a fatastic time. The views are amazing, rooms are clean and comfortable and the home provides everything you need for a great stay. The property manager was very responsive - we had a few issues with the security system Manuel was very helpful. Renting a golf cart is a must for this property due to the location, but it was an adventure each day! We wish we would have stayed longer.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Magia, everything in the house was perfect, confortable and fully stocked for your stay.
The pool was a great bonus coming back from our beach day trips adventures. We explored beaches North of Sayulita that were beyond my expectations.
Miguel was excellent in answering questions, showing us how to operate the different things in the house.
The access to the house however is difficult and tricky.
We had to close the gate of the neighbor and get momentum and speed to get it into the parking spot.
Thankfully we had a 4 wheel drive SUV and one of my friends is used to driving in all kinds of terrain, so we made it ok. Would I rent it again? In a heart beat
Thanks for renting us your beautiful home!
Thr severity of the drive up to this place was not disclosed. We rented a brand new SUV and still could barely get there! We arrived at night since our flight was delayed and slipped with the car multiple times trying to get there! We felt unsafe and it ruined our trip as we could not leave and come back freely. Yes, the host recommended a golf cart, but imagine staying at an place suitable for 6 people but only being able to rent a 4ppl golf cart as a 6 seater won't be able to climb the hill?! Some of the golf cart companies even told us the 4 seater wouldn't be enough when we gave them the address! Apart from the unfortunate drive, the place was crawling with bugs everywhere! The beds have mosquito nets over them, unlike the pictures in the listing. The were ants in the beds and bedroom floors. The internet was not working. And the AC turned off everytime we opened the door so we couldn't even let the roon cool down. One of the room's shower floor was deteriorating and parts of it stuck to our feet while tryimg to shower! The top floor has no ventilation, to the point where it was impossible to sit there and enjoy! We didnt want to let anymore bugs in, so we didnt open the windows. Overall it was very unpleasant and since we felt unsafe, we had to cut our stay short, and left the the next day instead of staying the full 3 nights. We communicated all tyis to the host, but they wouldnt approve to compensate or refund any of our money.

We understand that travel delays and navigating unfamiliar roads can be stressful, and we were sympathetic to the group’s late arrival at nearly 10 pm; several hours past their planned check-in. Our property manager remained in contact and did everything in his power to assist.
Upon arrival, the guests were understandably frustrated and tired; however, their tone toward our property manager was inappropriate; preventing him from explaining details about the home (scoffing at every opportunity). Any of the minor concerns could have been resolved immediately or first thing the next morning had we been given the opportunity (e.g. based on guest preferences, driven by rainy season).
Specifically, we highly recommend a golfcart, allowing our guests to avoid difficulties in driving/parking in Sayulita. The AC does turn off when guests open the door to leave the room. This is done to be environmentally conscious. And the guests called out that ventilation was not present in the Palapa (an open-air common space on top floor of house). We could have moved a fan into the room upon a courteous request.
We take pride in maintaining high standards (including improvements which are not yet captured in photos e.g. in-suite bathroom, furniture, netting around beds). All this is reflected in our ratings and 10 years of positive hosting history. We always want guests to have a stellar experience and regret this group chose to leave before allowing us to address any inconveniences.
We had never been to Mexico and are so glad we chose Sayulita and Casa Magia. The initial view from the common living space was quite impressive. Our family of five (including two teens) had ample room to relax separately and together. Each bedroom was simple and comfortable.
The master shower has you perched above with an ocean view. The pool was refreshing and the linen robes in each room was a nice touch.
Migeul’s communication for check in was easy and straight forward.
Since each room is separated by level via an outdoors central staircase, I’m
Not sure I would recommend the villa to anyone with mobility issues.
Golf cart rentals are a must as everyone moves through town to and from beaches etc that way. The villa owners provided us with a connection for that seeing that we needed a stringer motor to reach the hill top.
The kitchen was adequately stocked and we made great use of the outdoor spaces especially for sunset.
We appreciated the simple yet impressive nature of the villa. Sayulita and Casa Magia are gems!
Beautiful House in the hills near downtown Sayulita
Breathtaking views from the house. Host and the property care taker was responsive. We never got to use the pool because there was so much activity in Sayulita and the beaches around. Even though the location is close to the beach, be prepared for the hills as regular cars won't be able to go up. We had to rent special golf cart that could handle the hills.
Just one note on the 3rd bedroom. I may have missed it, but there was not a description of where the 3rd bathroom was located. When we got there, the bathroom is located one floor up from the 3rd bedroom that doesn't have in-suite bathroom. The guest would have to go outside the room, take a flight of stairs to go to the bathroom.
Other than that, it's a great house. No TV anywhere but equipped with games and the kitchen has everything to enjoy quality time with the family. Our group really enjoyed our time here.
I have to say it was a very pleasant experience staying at Casa Magia the house has plenty of space to relax and enjoy the View . The pool is huge and if you will like to relax this is the place . I will be back to Casa Magia . Thank you Miguel for answering all my questions about the house and all other activities in town make sure to rent a golf car is necessary to go up the hill . Miguel will have the information where to rent one and they can bring the car to the property that way you don’t have to waist your time.
Clean property, very friendly and easy to work with property manager, taxi service to and from airport, golf cart rental etc. Stress free and responsive.
Outstanding property. Location cannot be beat. Views were spectacular, and breezy due to being up the hill. Close enough to town, but away from the hustle and bustle. Anna-Lena and Miguel, the property manager, were always available and responded to all queries, quickly.
This was the most relaxing and peaceful place we have stayed in a long time. The jungle view is amazing! We felt like we were all alone which is great and it’s minutes away from town and even closer to the tranquil northern beaches!!! We will be back!!
The house is gorgeous, very communicative owner and great staff. Love this house and Sayulita.

Beautiful home
We were a little nervous coming up the hill to find the house. Once we got inside we were blown away by the spectacular view of the ocean and the town below. The accommodations were very comfortable. Loved everything about it. There are critters, scorpions and geckos aside from that everything else couldn’t of been more perfect

Amazing views!
The house is great. Everything you need...just stop and buy food and alcohol. However, due to the amazing views, the house is not kid friendly. The railings are unsafe for children but perfectly safe for adults. This is the highest house on the hill but still close enough to town with a 10 min walk. Highly recommend!

Wonderful. Just as advertised.
Thank you again to the owners. Always quick and thorough responses before and during stay. Car service they arranged was great. Everything advertised was present and functional. Views are outstanding. No complaints. Be aware... the hill is real. Rained one night and taxis wouldn't venture up. 2 taxis we took couldn't make it all the way up. We will definitely hope to stay again! Thanks again!

Great Stay!
A group of 7 ladies stayed here for my 30th birthday. The house was perfect for the group and we were all terribly sad to leave. We spent most our days hanging around the pool and enjoying sunsets on one of the many decks.
