The property was perfect for a weekend trip. The noise from the bars downstairs is very loud until after 3am but the host provides earplugs and sound machines. Be prepared to stay awake until the bars close! The host is very responsive to messages and the space was great.
The property was beautiful. It was very clean. The location was perfect. It was easy to walk to everything in Savannah. The owner was very helpful. It was above a bar, but ear plugs and white noise machines were provided in the bedrooms. Will definitely stay there again when we go back to Savannah.

My husband and I and a couple of our friends stayed here for a wedding weekend. It was the perfect size for the four of us & having the extra half bath instead of the usual 2bed/1bath setup that most of the air bnbs in the area have was wonderful! Beds were comfy as well. It was also the perfect location to experience Savannah - honestly, we could have just stayed on the block for every meal because there are so many great food and drink options right around the corner! It is right above a busy bar but like other reviews have mentioned, John courteously leaves a sound machine and ear plugs in each room so don’t let that deter you. We had no issues sleeping. We had a great weekend thanks to this accommodation from John & would recommend it to anyone in the area!

This is a gorgeous property in the heart of historic Savannah. It is walkable to dozens of restaurants, shopping, historic sites -- everything you could want. The interior is attractively designed and decorated, taking advantage of the historic charm of exposed brick and beams. The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable, though I'm not a fan of 100% polyester sheets and bedding. The full kitchen, washer and dryer allow for a comfortable stay of several nights, with room for a family or small group to spread out. Everything worked, everything was clean, and communication with John prior to and during our stay was prompt and helpful. We were a bit unprepared for the noise of the bar located immediately below. Although it was mentioned in another review, and common sense prepared us for some level of background noise based on the location, I was thinking more along the lines of a busy restaurant/bar until midnight or so, rather than bass-thumping music until 3am every night. Saturday and Sunday were the loudest, when the bar would turn up the bass after around 10pm so the vibrations were felt and heard in the walls. Also, cigarette smoke would find its way in, so once it got busy downstairs, I was particularly aware of the smoke -- but I am pretty sensitive to smoke, and woke up congested. The owners are clearly aware of the issue, based on the air filter, odor absorbers, and air fresheners located throughout the aprtment. We considered relocating, but the weekday noise wa

We are sincerely sorry you experienced a challenge, Savannah does have a noise ordinance for late hours and I will follow up on this with the understanding it was spring break during your stay. Yes we provide free ear plugs, noise dampening drapes and noise machines in each bedroom in case the bar gets noisy as it is hard to police noise as it cannot be predicted. The building was built in 1860 and we provide the air purifier and automatic glade air fresheners because it is a historic building and therefore is not as "sealed" as todays new builds. As you stated, it is a great historic place located in the heart of the historic district accessible to everything. We hope you will visit again.
