Seaside Studio Suite - at Grande Bay Resort, St. John

Welcome to Seaside at Grande Bay Resort! Located on beautiful St. John, also known as the jewel of the U.S. Virgin Islands. St. John is a volcanic island offering white sand beaches, turquoise waters, mountain vistas and historical ruins. The Virgin Islands National Park encompasses over half of the island's nineteen square miles. Surrounded by coral reefs and seagrass beds, St. John offers excellent snorkeling from shore as well as diving excursions. If you prefer to hike, there are over twenty maintained hiking trails for your enjoyment.

Your home away from home at Grande Bay is located WATERFRONT and offers an unobstructed view of Cruz Bay Harbor. Enjoy breakfast or dinner on the balcony while listening to the waves lapping the shoreline. For you convenience, our condo can be reserved as a two bedroom unit with a full kitchen and two bathrooms, a one bedroom unit with a full kitchen and one bathroom or as a studio unit with a kitchenette and full bathroom. We offer three private balconies to enjoy the outdoors and also a shared pool deck with swimming pool and hot tub. The resort also offers a spacious exercise room with new equipment (even a Pilates machine!) that offers ocean views. Grande Bay is staffed 24 hours a day to answer any questions you may have or assist with your vacation.

Having the convenient location of being right in Cruz Bay allows you to walk to shops, restaurants, bars and even some beaches at your leisure.

PLEASE NOTE: Our Seaside Studio DOES NOT come with a parking space at Grande Bay. If you choose to rent a vehicle, you will need to locate parking off site either at your rental agency location or a private parking lot at your expense.

Quiet, clean, beautiful view

My wife and I were on island for 12 days. The last three nights were spent at the seaside studio. We like the short walk to Cruz bay and all it has to offer the studio was clean quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. Would definitely end our vacations at the condo in the future.

Perfect stay for a couple!

The Seaside Studio Suite was exactly as described. The location at Grande Bay was ideal for beach days, an afternoon cocktail, and dinner. The suite was very clean and comfortable. The balcony was perfect place to relax for a cocktail after a long day in the sun. There was easy access to many bars, excellent restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Tracy was quick to respond to emails. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation in St. John.

Absolutely perfect

This was our second stay in one of Tracy's Condos, her communication is the best and she's always so helpful! The condos are so beautiful and the view is amazing!! She has absolutely everything you need for a perfect week on beautiful St John, including, Beach chairs, snorkel gear, a cooler and noodles. We could not have been happier with choosing her condo and will definitely be booking with her again on our future trips.

Great location and amenities for everything we needed!

Great location within walking distance to everything in Cruz Bay. Room was equipped with everything we needed and more. We spent nights on the balcony or across the street on the beach. Washer and dryer were a nice bonus and the all of the basics were available in the kitchen. Would highly recommend for a small group or expand to the room next door.

Great Location if you want to stay in town!

Staying at the Seaside Studio Suite was the perfect location to have as our base for the week. The suite was the perfect size for the two of us. We enjoyed having a full size fridge in the kitchen and the kitchen supplies were enough to meet our needs. Every morning we had our coffee and breakfast on the balcony while we watched the ferry and other boats get started for the day. We spent our days exploring the island and then returned to shower and have happy hour on the balcony before dinner. It was super convenient to be able to walk right into town to eat without having to worry about driving on the roads in the dark. Every day we used the beach chairs, cooler and beach towels that were provided in the Suite. For parking we got a weekly pass through Slim Man’s and ended up using their overflow/additional lot (EZ parking) across from Woody’s. That worked out well and was conveniently located only a few minutes walk from Grande Bay. The booking process was simple and the communications from the owner were timely and easy to follow. The check in and check out process were easy as well. We definitely recommend staying here if you want to stay in town during your time on St John.

Perfect condo for a couple

The listing for this unit is accurate. It’s a very spacious studio condo. Very clean and comfortable. It was great having breakfast on the balcony and looking out at Cruz Bay. The location was perfect. Very short walk from the ferry. Easy walk to restaurants , bars and hiking trails, including a nice trail that takes you to Solomon Beach or Honeymoon Beach. We did take cabs to more distant beaches but that was still better than the expense of a car rental. Check in process was easy and the woman who helped us was super nice. I would definitely rent this condo again.

Lovely studio!

Paradise!!!!!

It was a wonderful property. It was the perfect size for my husband and I. The suite was nicely furnished and the kitchenette was well equipped and everything was spotless. We also had a stackable washer and dryer and a safe in the suite which was handy. We were within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants and the beach bar was right across the street from the resort. It was a fun place to go the food was good and the music at night was enjoyable, along with the beautiful sunsets we watched while sitting on the beach in the adirondack chairs sipping a drink. The outside balcony to the unit was delightful we could sit and watch the boats come in after a day on the water. Honeymoon Beach was the bomb with its bikini bar and gift shop and only a short hike or taxi ride away. . Make sure you take the opportunity to snorkel with the sea turtles while you are there. All in all a wonderful vacation!! Thanks, Tracy, what a great host! We will be back! Dave and Deb Columbus,OH

Gorgeous!

We had an amazing week in this beautiful, perfectly put-together unit. With just two of us, it was wonderful to sleep right by the slider to the balcony, so that we could enjoy hearing the waves in the harbor lapping the shore all night. The studio unit had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Tracy (owner) was so easy to work with, and her staff did a great job of offering us assistance with arrival details, equipment and excursions, if wanted. Thank you all for a wonderful experience - we will definitely be back to Seaside Properties!!!

Great Getaway - Close to everything!

This was a great little spot to get away from it all. Well appointed and clean. The views of the water were fantastic and the short walk across the street to the beach was great for our toddler. Strollers could be a little tricky with the narrow streets and walkways...we ventured without one. 50/50 on if we would do that again. There is apparently a baby place that rents backpacks and maybe strollers but we didn't see an ad for that until the last day. The rental person did a fantastic job of greeting us at the boat and giving us several tips on what to see and where to eat. We rented a jeep on St. John for a couple days to see coral bay, grab groceries and visit a few of the beaches. Maho and trunk bay were fun beaches. Renting on St Thomas might be a better option logicstically with a kiddo if you have long flights. The pedestrian ferry was great though and parking can be tricky. Baby food is cha ching and limited selection so bring what you need if your little one is picky or if you buy organic. Most everything else grocery wise has a more typical selection. The only downside was that Carnival was going on nearly every night we were there and it was LOUD late into the night. Thankfully our little one was exhausted from playing all day and slept through it. If we go back to St John we will definitely consider staying here again!

We have been visitors to St. John since our first trip in February of 2002. Since that visit, we have been back at least once a year and have shared the island with our children, friends and family members. We know that we are blessed to be able to realize our dream of owning property on St. John. We feel that we have found our place in paradise and we love sharing it with others.

Why they chose this property

We searched for years for the perfect place on St. John and came to love Grande Bay. The location right in town can not be beat. For us, the perfect day includes making breakfast, heading to a beach or two then coming home to clean up and head out to enjoy dinner. Grande Bay provides us with all the amenities of home with a full kitchen, large showers, comfortable furnishings and an easy walk to the perfect restaurant or bar. We know that you will love it as much as we do!

What makes this property unique

When we have the opportunity to stay at Grande Bay, we enjoy having breakfast on the balcony while listening to the waves and watching Cruz Bay come to life. We love taking the beach chairs and coolers to a different beach each day and snorkeling or hiking up to Ram Head or along another amazing trail. We enjoy all the comforts of home along with staff that will assist us or answer any questions we might have. If we decide to forgo the beach, we have the option of relaxing on the pool deck and enjoying the pool and hot tub. We especially like walking into town less than 100 yards for a delicious meal or island drink
