I’m not even sure where to start—what an incredible host and an incredible home! The house itself was stunning: clean, open, modern, and beautifully designed, with amazing views to match.It was also one of the most thoughtfully stocked homes we’ve ever stayed in. Everything we could have needed was provided, including appliances, glassware, Tupperware, bathroom toiletries, fully stocked showers, and extra personal-care items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, and feminine care products. There were even snacks and wine waiting for us, which was such a nice touch.The beds were comfortable, everything was clearly labeled and organized, and it was obvious that a lot of care went into making guests feel welcome and at home. Shawn’s communication was excellent before, during, and after our stay. He is truly a gem.Easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. We would 10/10 recommend this home and host!

Shawn was an excellent host and Braeloch Lodge the perfect place for a winter escape. The home is beautiful with incredible views of Lake Canadaigua and well stocked with everything you would need. If you’re looking to unplug and wind this is your place!

We had an incredible time at this breath taking property. Our host, Shawn was incredibly responsive, helpful and friendly. The house was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need from the kitchen, to the bathrooms, to every room in between. I can’t recommend this location enough.

Our family had a wonderful holiday at The Braeloch Lodge. It’s easily the most impressive rental any of us have stayed in. The panoramic lake views were stunning and never got old — whether we were nestled by the fire or simply walking around the home. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed — kitchen, bathroom, linens, towels — which made the stay incredibly easy and comfortable. The “secret room” was also a huge hit with our children, who spent hours reading and playing in their own little clubhouse. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

We loved our stay! The home is very thoughtful in how it's set up and extremely well stocked. There is no way to describe the view- it's just perfect! Kids loved the pickleball court (though beware of the weeds on the side) and the loft down to the lake where they skipped rocks. We will be absolutely be revisiting!

Braeloch Lodge was the perfect vacation rental for our getaway. The views of Canandaigua Lake from the house were absolutely stunning, sunrises over the water were magical and the peaceful setting made it feel like a true escape. We arrived at night and didn’t see the lake view until morning. The property is unreal. The views of the lake were breathtaking. It was overcast the entire time we were there and it didn’t matter. Simply breathtaking. We got an early in the season light snow and it just amplified the beauty. Shawn was so responsive and an excellent host! Will come again:)

Great Stay!

We had a great week at Braeloch Lodge. The house is gorgeous and the views of the lake are wonderful. We had a group ranging from ages 10 to 82 and everyone had a great time. The tram made it easy for everyone to get down the lake and enjoy the water. Really enjoyed the use of the kayaks as well as the downstairs with ping pong and the arcade games. The house was easy to find and just a very peaceful, quiet setting to enjoy the lake. Great communication throughout with the owner. Highly recommend!

Blissful lake getaway

We had a wonderful stay- even with quite a bit of rain during our week there, the place has so much room to spread out, relax, gorgeous views of the lake and games for a family to be entertained inside! The pictures don’t do the property justice… beautiful and clean! I love to cook and the kitchen was stocked with everything needed and more! We would love to stay again…

Wonderful

We spent the week at this fantastic cottage, enjoying everything the house has to offer as well as the easy access via tram to the lake. The water was crystal clear and we spent hours sunning, swimming and playing in the water. The cottage had all the amenities you could wish for as well as spectacular views from every window. This place is truly a gem on Canandaigua Lake

We recently stayed at this amazing property with two families (eight people total), and it was absolutely perfect. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of—from an easy check-in process to a smooth and straightforward cleanup at checkout. The house was spotless and extremely well-stocked with everything we could have needed, including high-end toiletries, plenty of firewood, camp chairs, and even kayaks.The location was ideal, and getting to the lake was a breeze thanks to the motorized cart provided. It made transporting kids and gear easy and fun. One of our favorite features was the hidden room—such a fun and unique touch that added to the experience!We truly felt like everything was considered to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Braeloch Lodge was a wonderful and relaxing experience with breathtaking views of Canandaigua Lake. The property is well stocked with cooking utensils, paper products, cleaning supplies and a generous inventory of bed linens and towels. The Narnia room was delightful.A thorough deep cleaning is due of kitchen cabinets and drawers and underneath furniture in bedrooms.Weed the area around the pickleball court. It was difficult to play when ball lands in weeds after every shot.Continue to build steps down to waterfront. Families with infants concerned about safety of tram, although we had no issues. Tram worked perfectly but first use was frightening due to steep drop.

Can't say enough about our recent stay at this property. We had 8 adults, and everyone was impressed with this property! The house itself is simply amazing -spacious and beautiful timber-frame concept. A huge open concept 1rst floor allowed us all to enjoy ourselves together. The views of lake Canandaigua are second to none. The kitchen is spacious and equipped with high-end appliances. The large lower-level game room is awesome! The beautiful boat dock is spacious - we spent each evening down there together on the lake and under the stars. The owner is very available and ready to accommodate, although we really didn't need anything because it was already taken care of. This is an amazing property!

Luxury at the lake

Absolutely stunning views of the lake. Luxury lake home with all of the amenities. Well appointed chef kitchen with everything that you could possibly need. Master bed and bath was beautiful and large guest rooms. Game room was well equipped for adults and kids, no reason to ever be bored. Lift to the dock was such an added bonus. Secret rooms that will impress kids and adults Loved the privacy of the home and ample parking. Owner was extremely responsive and a pleasure to deal with. So many extras were provided that made my stay even more special. The attention to detail in this property was overwhelming and truly impressive. I hope to stay again next year. Don’t hesitate on this one!

Absolutely Amazing Property on the Lake

This is a beautiful luxury home with all the amenities. You literally do not need to bring a thing to make yourself feel at home. From the moment you pull in, you will have the feeling of peace & tranquility. The views are breathtaking! Every room, from the kitchen to the bathrooms, are well appointed. We rented this property for my husband's birthday. There were 4 of us. We wanted a place, on the lake, where we could disconnect from our busy lives & truly enjoy some well needed quality time with rest & relaxation. We definitely chose the perfect place! The tram was so wonderful to use to unpack & pack the car & to get down to the dock to fish. The weather was in the 50s, off & on rain, but that did not hinder our trip in any way. It actually made it even more relaxing & cozy. We used the fireplace everyday. Made breakfast every morning in the chef's kitchen, played in the well equipped game room. Sat on the porch to listen to the rain fall as we enjoyed a glass of wine & charcuterie. One night the 4 of us (all adults) went up into the secret "Spare Oom" Narnia room. We lit candles (On glass plates for safety), hung a string of led fairy lights over the door, opened a bottle of wine & played games. We reminisced & laughed in that room for a little over 2 hrs. We created memories that will last our lifetimes. Shawn is a wonderful host! He is extremely responsive to your questions & needs. Your satisfaction is his #1 priority! Truly a 5 star property! Don't hesitate!
