Campbell Cottage at Lake Eufaula

Enjoy this charming cottage for a getaway at Lake Eufaula---great for a girl's trip or two couples. Cottage has been completely remodeled and nicely furnished. Relax on the front porch with a little bit of a lake view or choose the large patio area in the backyard with a fire pit. Convenient location is just a few blocks from sandy beaches, marina, walking trail around the cove, restaurants and downtown shopping.
The space
The cottage was built in 1940 and has been completely remodeled. The original hardwood floors have been restored and new Pella windows installed. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. One bathroom has a large walk-in shower and the other has a tub/shower combo. A tankless hot water heater means everyone gets a hot shower after a day at the lake. All new cabinetry, granite countertops and appliances have been installed. If you want to cook during your stay there are plenty of dishes, coffee cups, wine glasses and most anything you might need. The original attic fan from 1940 has been replaced with a central heat & air unit. Original built-in shelf for old time wired phone in hallway has been repurposed into a charging station for mobile phones and tablets. The original gas wall heater in the bathroom has been converted to a space for a night light. Front porch is furnished with white wicker and lots of potted flowers. Backyard has a large patio with vintage chairs surrounding a fire pit.
Guest access
Guest may use the entire cottage. There is a small garage, just large enough for a golf cart, if a guest brings their own or rents one. Eufaula allows golf carts and many people travel to restaurants and the beach by golf cart.

I love providing a home for guests to enjoy our wonderful lake. This 1940 home was being condemned by the City when I had an opportunity to buy it and totally update and remodel it. I wanted all the modern amenities without losing the cottage charm. And, I had plenty of old family pieces to bring in the charm. It has truly been a labor of love.

Why they chose this property

I came to Eufaula when we purchased our first houseboat. A few years later we moved here full-time from Tulsa. There is so much to enjoy at Oklahoma's largest lake---boating, water sports, fishing, sandy beaches, restaurants and great shopping.

What makes this property unique

The location to both Eufaula Cove and downtown is very convenient. All the modern amenities are included without losing the charm of an older home.
