Sea Ranch Montecito - Resort-Style Living on the Montecito Coast

Gather with friends and family in a truly magical setting! Located in an exclusive enclave of Montecito, this historic four-acre property is a private mini-resort. Not only does it offer a short walking distance to Hammond’s Beach and the restaurants and shops on Coast Village Road, but there are numerous wonderful spaces on the property for gathering and plenty of private spaces to spread out so that you can truly enjoy spending time together.

Originally built in 1903, this estate has been totally renovated to include modern amenities with a rustic ambiance. It includes a four-bedroom carriage house with three Primary Suites as well as an attached three-story tower that used to be the farm’s original water tower. The Living Room features an impressive two-story sandstone fireplace that was fashioned around the original blacksmith's furnace and the Kitchen is fully stocked with every professional appliance. Detached from the carriage house are the Pool Cottage and Garden Studio Cottage, each equipped with a King bed, pull-out sofa, full bathrooms, and kitchen amenities.

When you’re in Southern California, the real show is outside. Sea Ranch is 4 acres of lush gardens, with mature landscaping and two auto gates that keep you totally private from the outside world. The property features a large pool with a lap lane and Baja shelf, a built-in 10 person spa, 2 barrel Sauna's (dry sauna and steam sauna), fire pits, a new extenstive outdoor kitchen with a wood burning pizza oven and Santa Maria barbecue, and a 50" flat screen TV mounted outside. Swings, play structures, yard games, an in-ground trampoline, bocce ball, badminton, darts, and ping-pong provide endless ways to play. Organic vegetable and herb gardens, berry vines, and citrus trees are always available to guests of Sea Ranch. Amazing Place

We have an annual Friends get together in SB, this house is amazing, we wished we booked it for longer. Our group is 3 families (kids from 17 to 5). So much space, came complete with all beach and pool equipment. The Chef was nothing short of amazing! Will be booking this house again! Short walk to beach, short walk to Downtown Montecito. Perfect!

Having a chef for breakfast and dinner was the BEST! She did the grocery shopping, cooking, serving and clean up. She was FANTASTIC!!! Property Manager was GREAT! Checked on us, got us on the golf course, had our beer iced Cold when we arrived, took our food/drinks to the dock for our boat ride and much more. He was FABULOUS!!!

Perfect Property for a Family Getaway PERSONAL CHEF INCLUDED

We just spent the most wonderful long weekend at Sea Ranch. The property is massive and beautiful. Awesome deep pool with huge super shallow section for my 3-year-old and 5-year-old to play in. Great hot tub. So many great outdoor and indoor areas to gather, drink and chat around a fire. Our family of four went with my parents, mother-in-law as well as my sister, her husband and baby and we all felt like we had more than enough room. There is also a staff of people who are so kind and helpful with anything you might need - Blake gave us a tour and showed us how to work everything and even came by just to turn on the tiki torches when it was getting dark. But my favorite part was Katie, the personal chef, who cooked two meals a day for our entire crew and cleaned up after us. This was offered for free with the home -- something I have not experienced at any other house I've rented. Her food was insanely good -- she even made signature cocktails and special food for my picky little kids. And the fact that she CLEANED the whole kitchen after every meal, washing baby bottles and emptying the dishwasher made this trip relaxing for everyone, even mom and dad. Would definitely come back!

Sea Ranch Perfection

Multi generational family reunion

We had the most AMAZING time at this home. It was perfect for our multi generational family reunion to celebrate my Dad’s 81st birthday. Barlow was so friendly and always responded so promptly. The property itself is amazing and luxurious and was perfect for our gathering. We had family ranging in age from 11-81 and it was perfect for everyone. The property is a short walk to the beach, an even shorter walk to downtown Montecito and had all of the amenities and space a family reunion needs. We will definitely be back!

Sea Ranch is Paradise

I have to say, having stayed at beautiful properties in Santa Barbara, none compare to Sea Ranch. The property makes you feel like you're on a retreat. The decor is impeccable and the property is amazing, from fire-pits to a built-in trampoline and a gorgeous pool it is paradise. Plus you can conveniently walk to Montecito village or to butterfly beach (which may be the most beautiful beach in Santa Barbara). I can't wait to go back next year!

The best

Recently stayed at this luxurious property for a family reunion of 12 : 9 adults and 3 kids (ages 9-14) for 3 nights. We had the best vacation ever. The only time we left was to go to get groceries. The property is even larger than you can imagine from the photos. The kids loved to run outside and play in the pool, swing, play ping pong, bocce, ride bikes, trampoline, pick berries, and hang out in the media room (there's even xbox tho we didn't use it) and tower. The accomodations were spotlessly clean and the grounds were beautiful. It was a very relaxing trip for everyone. There were many comfortable places to hang out and a sound system throughout. There was plenty of room to spread out, but also room to eat together at the same kitchen table inside, as well as outside. The kitchen was large and easy to cook for the whole group. There was every kitchen item available, including excellent Calphalon pans, sharp knives, and a Wolf 6 burner range for my cooking husband, and a built in coffee/espresso machine for the caffeine addicts. We were met by the very friendly and helpful caretaker, Robert, who gave a complete tour of the property and instructions for all the gadgets (pool heating, sound, gas fireplaces, etc.) including the private walk to the beach. The entire property and experience reflects an attention to detail that I have not encountered in previous rentals, and the historic renovation is just spectacular. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful setting with a large family group.
