Concert stay

Our stay was good, however the toilet wasn’t working properly and also had to buy some toilet paper and hand soap. The location was perfect for our concert weekend. Very close to billy bishop airport and a 20minute walk to budweiser stage.

Difficult check in

Check in was very difficult and communication was poor. 3 days before I got a “keys to your trip” email that was only general reservation info and nothing about check in or parking. Day of I messaged the host about parking and it took hours to get back so since we were already in Toronto we paid to park about 10 minutes away. There is however a parking garage which would have been nice. Day of I got the check in message on VRBO which had everything except the key code to get the keys out of the machine which was in a pdf link that did not work. We were stuck outside the condo for over an hour trying to get in. We had to call a 1800 number to get the code and when we finally got through we were given the wrong code and had to call back. It is not easy making phone calls in another country and there’s no WiFi near the building. Finally we got in and the place was 30.5 c according to the thermostat and the AC did not work. The place has more wear and tear than can be seen in the pictures and the furniture is stained. There’s a wine openener but no wine glasses. There’s a nespresso machine but the wrong kind of pods. On a positive note there’s 2 bedrooms and a partial water view from the balcony and the location was decent.

Disappointed

The disappointing aspect was primarily due to the fact that it was a very hot weekend in Toronto and the there was no responses to our emails when we asked for assistance. We kept the blinds down but one main blind in living room area was broken. We had to open the door to hallway to allow cool air into the condo. There was limited glassware (2 plastic wine glasses), one small garbage bag and for four people over a weekend it was difficult even with recycling in mind. The towels had an odour to them like they were left too long in the washer and then out in the dryer. Overall, the location and immenities around were excellent .

Budweiser Stage

Once we were settled, things were great until we left and found a parking ticket. The apartment itself was beautiful. The TV in my bedroom did not work at all. If I wasn’t so tired, I would’ve moved to the living room, but I did not wanna disturb my sister as her bedroom wasn’t very close proximity. check-in was a bit confusing. Probably more should be described in the listing. Parking was even more confusing and it was left to the last minute. I received several emails while and wrote and was unable to read the emails because of the small font. I had messaged the owner several times before I left regarding the parking, so I don’t know why it was left until last minute. Anyway, still a good rating overall despite a $75 parking ticket with a receipt on the dash of the car.
