The apartment was very clean and well maintaimed. This was the perfect property to stay at over the holidays as I grew up in the area and had many moments of nostalgia going to old restaurants and shops I frequented as a kid.
Clean, comfortable and safe. Stayed overnight with my Son for a show at Nassau Veterans Colliseum the following day. Stew Leonard's in walking distance was perfect for cooking our dinner with the fully stocked kitchen here. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you
I was drawn by the great reviews of this place, I wasn't expecting much, just cleanliness and somewhere to sleep. This place was a bit gross. It was "clean" at first glance, but it smelled soooo stuffy, moldy, and like cheap old soap. (Think of the clearance body soap section at a Ross or TJ Maxx). We turned on the air and it didn't help, the air felt wet. A sweaty sock was the actual feel of the place. The shower curtain (which wasn't even a curtain, just a liner) had mold at the top and bottom. There were used bars of soap in the shower and nearly empty and used bottles of products, full of crusties everywhere in the bathroom aside from crumbs and hairs inside the cabinets. Doors and walls were filthy, there was a random plate sized hole in the wall of the kitchen. Floorboard was taped to the ground with clear tape. Behind beds were full of dust and crumbs, the cleaning they did was very superficial. You could tell they haven't deep cleaned or moved furniture in awhile. Ceiling panels were stained and some had holes as well. Left this place and everything we owned smelled like the musty sock. I am usually not one to complain, but this place really kind of grossed me out. The owner was nice and asked me to leave a 5 star review, but I can't go to sleep at night knowing I wasn't honest about this place. Location is good, neighborhood is quiet and clean, but this place needs some serious work.
There was NO welcoming package on the unstable kitchen table, what I mean was no name or phone number of property owner who I could contact in case of a problem or emergency. I accidently found the fire extinguisher located behind the bedroom door. Speaking of fire extinguisher, if tyer was a fire there was only one way to enter or exit the basement apartment, there was no egress window. It stated that a washer was available, but not direction on how, when to use it or if the dryer was also available for use. Ceiling tiles were stained, walls needed to be washed and repainted and also needed repair. The bath had no towels and there was a used bar of soap on the shelf of the shower. The refrigerator shelves needed to be cleaned, and I had no idea where to empty the garbage.
I think that before you list a property for rent, you should send someone to check it out. I asked prior to booking if I could have someone review this rental but received no answer from property manager or your company. If I could have without losing my money I would have left this place.
