Come and enjoy the amazing mountain and lake views from this peaceful property. You can launch your kayak right from the back yard or use the nearby boat launch for your boat or Jet Skis. Wind surfing is plentiful as we have no shortage of the "Wyoming breezes". Bring your mountain bikes, kayaks, hiking boots, wind surf, or a good book to read while just sitting back and relaxing on the porch. And take in the amazing views from this property.
The MAIN HOUSE has 1 bed and 1 bath. There are stairs to a loft over the bedroom that could sleep at least 2-3 more. The bedroom has a Queen bed and a clothes bar to hang shirts, 3 shelves plus, a locker on each side of the bed for storage.
3rd BEDROOM (Guest Cottage) ** See added information added at the bottom of this page.
The LIVING ROOM in the MAIN COTTAGE has a sectional couch, and a TV. There's no Cable TV service, but you can use the included Wi-Fi to stream your favorite shows using your streaming account. Roku is available. There is a portable Air conditioner in the main cottage, but the mild days, cool evenings and lake breezes keep the house quite comfortable. There is a ceiling fan in the kitchen area and other small fans are available at the property. The home has electric heat. The KITCHEN has a full-size oven with a flat cook top, a full-size fridge and small microwave. The place is well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, cookie sheets, cake pans. A drip style coffee maker, hand mixer and blender (In case you want to make a Margarita) are provided. NO ICE available on the fridge. The BATHROOM has a shower only (no tub!), toilet, sink and washer/dryer. Towels and a hair dryer are provided. Outdoor Gas grill, patio table and chairs. There's plenty of parking available next to the house for your Vehicles and trailer(s). You will be on a dirt/gravel road for about .6 mile right before you arrive to the house. The rest is paved road.
There is public land throughout the area. You can walk the shoreline of the lake. There are wild horses that are often across the road. Be careful, don't get too close. They are beautiful but wild and don't like it when you get too close. You may occasionally see a fox, coyote, eagle, a variety of waterfowl and pronghorn (antelope). Laramie is only 20 miles away. It has several grocery stores, restaurants, movie theaters, museums, a quaint downtown area with antique and thrift stores and so much more. There are a lot of hiking and bicycling trails around Laramie and to the east near the Vedauwoo Recreation area and more to the west of Centennial, WY, in the Medicine Bow mountains (ATV trails too). There is so much to see and do in the area. Contact me with any questions:) Only a 30-minute drive to the historic town of Centennial, WY and the Snowy Range Scenic Byway where you might see a Moose or two. Stay on that road and then take a right on Hwy 130 to Saratoga, WY, where you can visit the Hot Springs, Brewery or a Restaurant. Or take a left to Encampment for a tour at the museum or continue on Hwy 230 for more of the scenic drive.
UPDATE: This Guest Cottage is only for extra guests. I do NOT rent it separately (to other parties). That building is about 20 feet from the main cottage. It has electric but no plumbing. There is a compost toilet (Loo) in a separate room inside the guest cottage. It has a queen bed, sofa bed (full size) with extra 3" foam mattress topper, a small fridge and some countertop space. It's an additional $80 per night. I've added photos. You can add this space by contacting me. I have to add it manually.

About the host
Hosted by Kathy
I am originally from Nebraska. Also lived in Colorado for 26 years. I found this area in 2011 and it was a great place to escape to on the weekends. I enjoyed the lake, mountains, and restaurants in the area. I've always wanted to share this area with others and now I'm able to do this. I have enjoyed this area, and it fits my style of outdoor living in the west. I hope you enjoy it too.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the mountain views, the wildlife, and the people. It's quiet and safe. Its location is good. Close enough to town and the mountains. You can see for miles. Wind can be an issue at times in the winter months, but the summers are wonderful.
What makes this property unique
I like that I can go for a walk, run or bike ride right out the door. There's access to the lake from the property if you bring your kayak, SUP, canoe, fishing poles (a license can be purchased in Laramie), etc. If the weather is increment, I can go into Laramie for shopping, a movie, visit a museum or just stay home and read. Wild horses roam the area and sometimes they'll walk right through the property stopping in for a drink from the rain barrels. The mountains offer several activities/options.
