Come and enjoy the amazing mountain and lake views from this peaceful property. You can launch your kayak right from the back yard or use the nearby boat launch for your boat or Jet Skis. Wind surfing is plentiful as we have no shortage of the "Wyoming breezes". Bring your mountain bikes, kayaks, hiking boots, wind surf, or a good book to read while just sitting back and relaxing on the porch. And take in the amazing views from this property.
The MAIN HOUSE has 1 bed and 1 bath. There are stairs to a loft over the bedroom that could sleep at least 2-3 more. The bedroom has a Queen bed and a clothes bar to hang shirts, 3 shelves plus, a locker on each side of the bed for storage.
3rd BEDROOM (Guest Cottage) ** See added information added at the bottom of this page.
The LIVING ROOM in the MAIN COTTAGE has a sectional couch, and a TV. There's no Cable TV service, but you can use the included Wi-Fi to stream your favorite shows using your streaming account. Roku is available. There is a portable Air conditioner in the main cottage, but the mild days, cool evenings and lake breezes keep the house quite comfortable. There is a ceiling fan in the kitchen area and other small fans are available at the property. The home has electric heat. The KITCHEN has a full-size oven with a flat cook top, a full-size fridge and small microwave. The place is well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, cookie sheets, cake pans. A drip style coffee maker, hand mixer and blender (In case you want to make a Margarita) are provided. The BATHROOM has a shower only (no tub!), toilet, sink and washer/dryer. Towels and a hair dryer are provided. Outdoor Gas grill, patio table and chairs. There's plenty of parking available next to the house for your Vehicles and trailer(s). You will be on dirt/gravel road for about .6 mile right before you arrive to the house. The rest is paved road.
There is public land throughout the area. You can walk the shoreline of the lake. There are wild horses that are often across the road. Be careful, don't get too close. They are beautiful but wild and don't like it when you get too close. You may occasionally see a fox, coyote, eagle, a variety of waterfowl and pronghorn (antelope). Laramie is only 20 miles away. It has several grocery stores, restaurants, movie theaters, museums, a quaint downtown area with antique and thrift stores and so much more. There are a lot of hiking and bicycling trails around Laramie and to the east near the Vedauwoo Recreation area and more to the west of Centennial, WY, in the Medicine Bow mountains (ATV trails too). There is so much to see and do in the area. Contact me with any questions:) Only a 30-minute drive to the historic town of Centennial, WY and the Snowy Range Scenic Byway where you might see a Moose or two. Stay on that road and then take a right on Hwy 130 to Saratoga, WY, where you can visit the Hot Springs, Brewery or a Restaurant. Or take a left to Encampment for a tour at the museum or continue on Hwy 230 for more of the scenic drive.
UPDATE: This Guest Cottage is only for extra guests. I do NOT rent it separately (to other parties). That building is about 20 feet from the main cottage. It has electric but no plumbing. There is a compost toilet (Loo) in a separate room inside the guest cottage. It has a queen bed, sofa bed (full size) with extra 3" foam mattress topper, a small fridge and some countertop space. It's an additional $80 per night. I've added photos. You can add this space by contacting me. I have to add it manually.

We loved just about everything about this cabin. It was cozy, well stocked and just a delightful experience overall . The view from the cabin was second to none and the wildlife allowed for the quintessential Wyoming experience. Thank you we can’t wait to come back!
My two adult sons and I stayed here for 4 nights in September and the cabin was perfect for us. The cabin has everything you need, well stocked! We had an amazing time, the host and caretaker were both awesome and communication was great from check in to check out. We saw antelope and wild horses daily.
Had such a fun stay at the Lake Hattie cabin! Kathy was super helpful with check in and the place is so cozy and full of cute decorations and everything we needed for our stay. Saw lots of prongorn, wild horses, and a fox. The lake was very quiet and peaceful. It was also a pretty easy 25-30 min drive into Laramie and close to the Snowy Range scenic byway which was beautiful. Wonderful trip!
My boys and I really enjoyed this out-of-the-way spot! Everything worked great and more than met our needs. The remote location was exactly what we hoped for and the views were a real treat! Checking in and out and everything in the cabin worked great!
The cabin is unique, with beautiful views of Lake Hattie from the big windows in the bedroom and dining room. The side deck is peaceful and the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine after hiking in the Snowy Range all day. The cabin has absolutely everything you could need for your stay. Saw 2 young foxes playing by the porch next door. Highly recommended this place and hope to return again next summer. Kathy is a wonderful host!
Such a wonderful cottage! Everything was so cozy! Kathy has put so many personal touches into the place, it really felt like you were staying in someone's home with all their treasures on display. We spent 3 nights there while skiing at Snowy Range. My wife and I and 2 teenage kids. Everyone loved the area and we wouldn't hesitate returning next season!
My family loved staying in this cute cabin for Christmas. My kiddos loved sleeping in the loft and we were so thankful to have so many soft blankets to snuggle up with. It was very handy having the laundry available too! Thank you so much!
This property was as described and then some. Kathy was absolutely amazing and helpful. We liked it so much we added a day to our stay. Look forward to coming back and staying here.

Thank you for taking good care of my home. Hope to have you back out here soon.
Cabin Review – Wyoming Lake StayWe had a lovely weekend at this charming cabin by the lake in Wyoming! The house was super cute, had a beautiful view, and we loved watching the wildlife — especially the wild horses, which were such a treat to see. It was windy during our stay, but that’s to be expected in Wyoming. The cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed, and the shower had hot water and great pressure — a definite plus after a day outdoors. We also rented the small additional cabin for extra space, which was helpful since the main home can feel a bit tight with multiple adults.Helpful tip: the fridge’s water dispenser wasn’t working, so bringing your own drinking water is a good idea. All in all, a wonderful, peaceful stay and we’d definitely recommend it!
Our stay at this cozy cabin was absolutely delightful!! It was exactly what we were looking for. Relatively isolated (neighbor’s are pretty far from each other), the waterfront is just a short walk from the porch with temperatures that are chilly but we were able to get in!! (Warmer than expected really) Every detail inside the cabin is well thought out and mindful of guests so we were able to just show up and start relaxing!! (Even spices for cooking were available) PLENTY of towels, pots/pans, appliances were clean and easy to operate, so many brochures and information for things to do near by! We went to The Old Corral Hotel for dinner and totally worth the visit. The stars were breath taking and that WY “breeze” was pretty astonishing. Too many great things to say, but if quiet is what you’re seeking, this is a great place to visit.
The property was very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots snd pans. Everything you needed to cook and bake was provided except for ingredients. The owner was very responsive to any information we needed. Our 4 people was made up of one couple and two friends. We were all close to 70 years old. The loft is not designed for older people due to the steepness of the stairs. But it would be great for a couple of kids. I would definitely come back with my girlfriend and maybe bring my grandkids. I highly recommend it.

Thank you. I appreciate your communication. Happy to have you come back. We'll work out something for the guest house if that would be easier for 2 couples. Safe travels.
I am originally from Nebraska. Also lived in Colorado for 26 years. I found this area in 2011 and it was a great place to escape to on the weekends. I enjoyed the lake, mountains, and restaurants in the area. I've always wanted to share this area with others and now I'm able to do this. I have enjoyed this area, and it fits my style of outdoor living in the west. I hope you enjoy it too.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the mountain views, the wildlife, and the people. It's quiet and safe. Its location is good. Close enough to town and the mountains. You can see for miles. Wind can be an issue at times in the winter months, but the summers are wonderful.
What makes this property unique
I like that I can go for a walk, run or bike ride right out the door. There's access to the lake from the property if you bring your kayak, SUP, canoe, fishing poles (a license can be purchased in Laramie), etc. If the weather is increment, I can go into Laramie for shopping, a movie, visit a museum or just stay home and read. Wild horses roam the area and sometimes they'll walk right through the property stopping in for a drink from the rain barrels. The mountains offer several activities/options.
