Welcome to Rachel’s basement apartment on the edge of town.
Private entrance, price bath and laundry.
Close proximity to the Katy Trail.
Flat screen smart tvs (3 total). Kitchenette with full size fridge. Microwave and coffee pot available. Shared backyard with fire pit. Our home is over 100 years old, the basement will sometimes project other occupants voices above until quiet hour @ 10:00pm.

Firstly we tried messaging the host before posting this review only to be blocked by the host. The property was not as described at all. the host,s photos are not at all recent and are deceptive. strong odors and needed a deep cleaning. no climate control for the guest. the renters in the upstairs turned off the HVAC all night on 9/16/25 100 heat index. How is this host considered a "Premier" host. Avoid this property

Extremely disappointed but had no other choice

There is a strong strong disgusting smell of some sort from the minute the entrance door is opened and throughout the whole area. Sprayed deodorizer but didn’t help. Being a basement, one might expect some odor BUT an air purifier, freshener or a deodorizer would certainly help with that! We weren’t there that much and it provided a place to sleep so we made it! The advertising photos are deceiving and looked much nicer than it is, therefore misleading in every way. We wanted an extra blanket for our bed, and did find some folded on a table in a closet, however when unfolded there was drops of fresh blood showing, which told me that as if it not been laundered. I truly regret having to complain and dis this place BUT IF you’re going to provide a place like this, it needs a lot of cleaning, care & redoing!! The whole place was very untidy.
