Escape to this peaceful lakefront getaway on Lake Hendricks

PEACEFUL LAKEFRONT COTTAGE: Come, relax and create your own memories at this comfortable 3-bedroom, 1 bath lake cottage on beautiful Lake Hendricks. This is a very peaceful setting on a private road with a large lot for family games and outdoor activities. Enjoy the 100 feet of shoreline, great for swimming, fishing, boating and water sports. Includes a dock and paddleboat. A large collection of books are available to read in the comfortable 3 season room. The sunroom also has a dining table for a family dinner of 6-8. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the nature pond on the other side of the cabin. Evenings can be enjoyed around the firepit or inside around the wood burning fireplace. A large paver patio and lounge furniture provided. A beautiful 9-hole golf course is within walking distance with a restaurant in the club house. This is a border lake, so a SD or MN fishing license is valid. Lake Hendricks is located on the west side of Hendricks, MN. The town of Hendricks includes several restaurants, a grocery store, bakery, hardware store, pharmacy, coffee corner, flower shop/boutique, library, churches, hospital and even a small movie theatre. There is a beautiful park in town along the lake with a swimming beach and campground. There are volleyball courts, disc golf and baseball diamonds all located by the park. There are three public boat launches on the lake and as well as a state park. Hendricks has a Fourth of July celebration, activities and parade that you won't want to miss. We are located 30 minutes from Brookings, SD where there are a large variety of activities, Children's Museum, restaurants, SDSU activities and more.

We absolutely loved this property!!! It reminded me so much of when my grandparents had their own place on the lake and we would stay with them!! My husband loved that he could leave his boat in tied to the dock and beable to just get up and go fishing. Love the view and just the relaxation of sitting on the porch area. Any question I had was quickly answered!

The cabin was so nice. The view was great. We are dairy farmers, it was under an hour away and my husband was able to go home for chores several times. We enjoyed kayaking several mornings. The screened in porch was so very nice. Downtown Hendricks has a great grocery store, an awesome bakery and several other businesses. We really enjoyed supper at The Shed a few times!

Lake Retreat

The cabin is in a great quiet location. We loved the large flat lot to play yard games. Our favorite space was the 3 season room with the best lake view! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was very easy to communicate with as well. The golf course was walking distance and the cute little town was a 5 minute drive and had everything we needed. We will definitely book again for a fun week at the lake!

We live in Sioux Falls and bought this property nearly 20 years ago when our three kids were young. It is a special place to us where we have created many memories. Our kids and friends learned how to ski and other water sports. We played many yard games and spent a lot of time sharing stories and s'mores around the campfire. Hendricks gave us a taste of small town living, enjoying going downtown for Saturday morning donuts and all of the 4th of July festivities. We now have grandkids and we hope to share this with them too. When we are not here, we would like to share with your family to create memories of your own.

Why they chose this property

Living in Sioux Falls, we enjoyed this small lake community. It offers the peace and quiet that we loved, but still has the basic conveniences.
