maybe your time would have been better thank ok if you had reported “issues” to the housekeeper that was on site 8 hours a day instead of writing me, in another country, about your “issues”, like towels being wet AFTER you showered, or not having enough toilet paper when each bathroom had two rolls and you had someone on site every day to replace them. Interestingly enough your whole group was happy except you. Interestingly enough, you changed your name on your profile after your stay and that will be reported as a safety issue, so you can’t create another profile under your real name on this platform and abuse hosts anymore. We will gladly never host you again. Hope you find places where your nitpicking get accommodated.

The host was very helpful with supplying information for our trip in general. It was nice to be able to ask questions when we were uncertain.Property is in the jungle and has animal life as you would expect. Howler monkeys were heard frequently. As travelers who drove from Guatamala, Iwould recommend folks stay at this location. Its is beautiful, clean, and exactSafe, a

Beauiful

Pauline was wonderful. She communicated regularly through email, text and by phone. I felt safe with the level of communication. Swimming at the lake and drying off in the hammocks was a wonderful way to end the day. We saw a parrot in the wild. We lived it!

Charming place near Tikal and lovely owner

We had a great time there. Not too far from Tikal despite the bumpy roads. The place is very nice with direct views and access to the lake. The property is lovely, especially the 2 main bedrooms. And Pauline was a fantastic host, including as a cook! Thanks for all

Treasure in the Peten

Great stop in the Peten for our group of 6 for three nights. We had plenty of space and felt quite luxurious compared to the cost of nearby hotels. The kids enjoyed swimming in the lake and the adults loved the outdoor dinning and sunsets over the lake. We started Mayan site seeing early to avoid the August heat, but made it back in the early afternoon to enjoy the lake and cooling breezes we did not feel in Tikal, unless you were sitting atop the highest temples. Descriptions are accurate. Read them. Dirt road to Flores is 9 km and then another 25 minutes of paved road. Entrance to Tikal was over an hour away in our two wheel drive Hyundai SUV; and the trip it starts out with an 18 km dirt road. So the place is remote. Be sure plan time to hang out and enjoy it. Pick-up groceries in Flores on your way in, as you will not want to leave . I was pleasantly surprised by house cleaning everyday and Pauline's quick response to any questions.

Great house in Peten

The house is great and very deserted. It has two ways you can get to the house - one from Flores with less dirt road, and one from El Remete which is much more dirt road (about 30-45 mins). The house is situated on a hill with a great view to the lake. The rooms have big windows facing the lake, so the feeling in the morning is awesome. The hangout are on the patio is also very cozy and the maid there will bring you coffee, juice or whatever you want. The maid (I forget her name) is very nice and will also cook food if you need to. Paulina, who is the owner, is very responsive and will answer any questions you might have, even if they are not related to the house but rather to the Peten area. As I mentioned earlier, the house is awesome, in the jungle, in the wild, so do expect small bugs and flies to be in your proximity. Make sure you close the doors on the rooms to avoid insects getting in the room and you will be fine through the night. During the evening make sure to use repellent. You have the wrong expectations if you go there and think this is 5 star Hilton. This is the nature and lots of animals will be around. The stay was great!

Great place to relax near Tikal

We stayed for four nights, the house is beautiful and very comfortable, views of the lake are incredible. The lake is warm and perfect for a swim after a long day. It is remote so not for party animal but we brought food and drinks and had a lovely time.
