Communication with resource staff prior to our arrival was good-staff was friendly and informative. Received access code in a timely manner to get into the house. Unfortunately while unpacking and choosing rooms to sleep in we discovered the bunk bedroom had not been cleaned. Contacted housekeeping who insisted it had been however there was a T-shirt tucked between the top bunk bedframe and the mattress and an unsealed package of clean sheets on the top bunkbed. Discovered that the master bedroom closet was not usable as there was no shelf or bar to hang any clothing on just two rods sticking out from the wall. This was fixed two days before we left. Shower drain cover in the master bathroom was not screwed down and-slid right off the drain pipe. Bathroom shower on the second floor between the two bedrooms did not drain and water was ankle deep during showering. Refrigerator back wall was busted as if someone had shoved something very hard against it and cracked it significantly; there was no light in the refrigerator as a result. Kitchen floors were filthy. Coffee was spilled on the floor by us and when I cleaned it up with a wet paper towel, it was filthy.The bedroom across from the bunkbed bedroom turned out to have lice. My daughter slept in that room and approximately 10 days after arriving home we discovered she has lice. We are fighting to get rid of them now. We are positive she got them from our stay-she has not been anywhere else where she would’ve gotten them.
