Vaulted Loft in Historic Bank on Hertel King Bed + walk to shops
Stay in a one-of-a-kind, architect-designed loft in a historic 1935 bank — reimagined as a modern, airy escape with soaring 17’ ceilings, designer finishes, and a location in the heart of Buffalo’s vibrant Hertel Avenue.
This light-filled loft features a stunning vaulted ceiling and a massive picture window overlooking the avenue. The king-size bed is so comfortable, guests often ask what brand it is. Below the sleeping loft is a dreamy walk-in closet with a single bed, and above it, a cozy futon accessible by ship deck stairs — ideal for couples but can comfortably host up to four guests.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need: stove, oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal, Keurig (with pods), tea kettle, toaster, pots, pans, knives, and a butcher block prep station for meals in. There’s also a charming little bar and a dining table with two chairs — perfect for morning coffee or a relaxed dinner in.
The spa-style bathroom features a double shower with two separate shower heads — including a rainfall — because not everyone showers the same way.
This space is best for guests who appreciate thoughtful design, calm energy, and unique architecture. It’s a curated, peaceful retreat just steps from Buffalo’s best cafés, restaurants, wine bars, vintage shops, and nightlife.

This hip loft apartment made our stay in Buffalo a delight! The host was available and helpful, and the location was in close proximity to our various Buffalo destinations. The street parking was a little challenging, but the comfort and convenience of this site more then compensated for it!
Very smart, lean, bright loft space within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and a Walgreens next door - very easy and secure check-in, responsive host!
Great place, in a great location. Took the family of 4 to Buffalo for a long weekend to enjoy a Bills game and sight seeing. Plenty of space, for everyone to relax. Many places to eat within walking distance. Would stay again.
The loft was better than described. Design and decor was exceptional and Amanda was very responsive and provided real time insight for our stay. We would highly recommend the opportunity to stay here, located in a beautiful and safe neighborhood!
We absolutely loved our stay. Amanda was kind, communicative, and the space was unique, beautiful, and comfortable! It had everything we needed and more and included thoughtful touches. The location was perfect, right next to a Walgreens with great restaurants all over nearby. We will definitely be booking again if we come back to Buffalo!
Amanda's place was charming, ecclectic and perfect for our first night in NY after a long day of travelling. The bed was comfy and kitchen was fully stocked. The Pete's coffee was a nice surprise in the morning since we were on a schedule and didn't have much time in the morning to stop for coffee. Her shower was amazing with the double rainfall shower heads and had nice shampoo and conditioner from her Salon. We met her during check in and she recommended the best taco place for dinner just across the road with nice cocktails and excellent food. We would definitely come back and stay the next time we come to Buffalo!

The property was not bad, but the blankets were dirty, I don't think they clean because we found underwear in the bathroom, we clean everything and we took the trash out and they charge extra money because they said we didn't took the trash out, they need better staff.
Self checkin was a breeze and apartment was clean. I was immediately put off a little when I saw the sign on the door to please remove my shoes, especially when I am paying a cleaning fee. So when I read I had to take out the garbage too, I was definitely put off. The description of the property was misleading. It states that there are 3 bedrooms when in reality there is a loft with a king bed with a few steps up to an upper loft with a futon. I think of bedrooms as having 4 walls and privacy, no privacy there. There was 1 private room with a single bed with a sign saying there was a $50 additional cleaning fee if it was used. Was not a problem for me since it was just my husband an I, but if you are with others and expect some privacy it could be an issue. The location was great, walking distance to several bars and restaurants.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to review my loft. This could have been asked prior to booking or by simply looking at the pictures and descriptions. They are very important when selecting a space. For the record having been a Bnb for going on 4 years, it has 5 stars on my other platform.
It is a historical bank renovated into a Modern Loft as seen in the title of the listing. It has been featured in architectural magazines and been on historical tours. Not everyone can appreciate fine architecture and I don’t think it’s worthy of a bad review based on your opinions.
We generally have bookings for couples using the king bed, so to keep my cleaning fee effectively low, there is only a fee for extra guests due to how much extra laundry and time it takes. All of this is crystal clear, but we do have guests who don’t always read the full description, so the very polite sign is a gentle reminder to avoid miscommunications. To address your concerns about not wanting to remove your shoes or own garbage, this is not a hotel, it is a very normal standard for vrbo’s and Air bnb’s. Thanks for your stay and supporting a local independent business woman.

We had an issue with the toilet not working properly and sent the owner a message. The toilet would only flush if it was aggressively plunged, and based on what was coming up there was an obvious clog from before. We DIDN’T HEAR BACK FROM THE OWNER UNTIL AFTER WE LEFT. I would have appreciated knowing when I booked the property that the owner would be unreachable. The space is okay, some things need updating, it’s definitely smaller than it looks and would be tight to have more than 2 people staying there and sharing the kind bed. The blankets on the couch did not smell good, the towels were stained, and the coffee pods for the Keurig were expired. We wouldn’t stay here again.
