The size and layout of the kitchen, living and dining room was the best of any of our trips to Steamboat. Each space was large enough for everyone to be together, and many could easily be in the kitchen at once. Easy/walkable access to skiing, grocery and restaurants.
Great condo and amenities centrally located within a 10 minute walk to the gondola at Trappeurs Crossing. Clean, complete unit that has all the features necessary to enjoy your time in Steamboat.

Beautiful property, nice to have access to hot tubs just steps from the building. Underground parking was appreciated in the snowy environs. Convenient shuttle to the ski resort. Key card access allowed flexibility for our group with different arrival/ departure times.

Thank you for the positive review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the location and amenities this property has to offer. It makes our team so happy to know that another guest had a great trip!
Exceeded expectations! We've been to steamboat before, first time at this complex. Loved the location - easy to get to everything and great amenities. Pools, hottubs, inside garage were all very nice. The unit is spacious, clean, very well equipped, and super comfortable. The cooling system works well - summer, high 80's and it was very chill inside.Best part is the deck, it looks out over the courtyard with pool and hottubs. No street noise, no cars, very quiet and private. Picture of view from deck. Walk to base Steamboat Square. Love this rental!

Thank you so much for the fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear the home exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed both the unit and the amenities. It’s great to know the cooling system kept you comfortable during those warm summer days, and we agree—the deck view is one of the best parts! We’d love to welcome you back next time you're in Steamboat
The condo was fantastic in almost all regards. I highly recommend others wishing to have a great place to stay while skiing at Steamboat. Great location and facility.
Only issue, though minor, was that the thermostat control of the property left the property a little too warm for our liking. Opening of windows and doors to cool the property was wasteful.

The condo and the building itself are really quite efficient, and the heat rarely needs to be kicked on. Keeping the fireplace off will help keep the temperature down, but we understand that some guests like to enjoy the fireplace for the sake of ambiance.
If guests feel the condo is too warm, the thermostat should be turned off rather than down, as the building does not provide air conditioning in the winter months. Setting the thermostat to a lower temperature will only ensure that the heat continues to run. Opening the windows and doors for a minute to bring the temperature down is efficient and shouldn't take much time at all during the winter.
Our stay at Bear Lodge was lovely - start to finish!
The unit was immaculate- kitchen had spices and some odds and ends. The underground parking makes it very easy to access the unit and our car was nice and cool. The balcony affords a nice treed view over the pool to the mountain. The property manager responded instantly with any questions. Our family, including a toddler and infant, enjoyed the roomy living area and the wonderful pool. The large dining table was perfect for large family dinners. Would definitely stay there again! Loved our stay!!

The property and location wereperfect for my family and the shuttle service amazing. Over all a good experience. The condo had plenty of room for 6 adults. Upon check in there were a few things that went wrong like lock box not working, then keys didn't work, no T.V. or WiFi for 24 hours. After notifying proper people these things were handled immediately.

We provide a 24-hour guest services phone number upon booking, and guests are encouraged to reach out to us if they have any questions or concerns before or during their stay. We were able to quickly resolve this guest's issues as soon as they were reported to us, which helped ensure a comfortable stay.

Thermostat was broken which resulted in very uncomfortable conditions for all of us.
Temperatures were so hot that we basically had to keep the doors open and fans blowing for the duration. When we complained we were told that it would be fixed, which it was not and to open the windows.
The check in process was not what was described in the instructions.

We worked with the owner as soon as this guest reported the thermostat issue to us, but we weren't able to schedule a technician during their stay. The thermostat has since been fixed.
Regarding the check-in process, a key is left for this condo in a lockbox in the property's breezeway. The departing guests accidentally took the additional keys from the condo home with them, so this guest had to run over to the front desk across the street to pick up a few more keys.
The unit is beautiful and in great shape. Incredibly well appointed with all the space and ammenities we could possibly need. However, the building gets incredibly hot and you can’t control the heat or AC (there is no AC which is normal for mountain properties) from the unit. In the winter it’s probably not an issue but in spring time when the weather outside is more moderate, it can be difficult to cool the unit down. There isn’t a lot of cross ventilation so moving air throughout is difficult. That being said, the owners are aware and they provide instructions to try to mitigate as well as a lot of box fans to help. But it’s still difficult and we had to keep all doors and Windows open at night to keep the place comfortable. For a building with units in this price range (in terms of purchase) personally I would find that absolutely indefensible. Overall though, very clean, very well appointed, great location close to the mountain. The first night was a bit uncomfortable until we reallzed how much we would need to control the temp.

This review needs clarification on the air conditioning. The building has a split system for heating and air conditioning, meaning it can only be one or the other. Because Steamboat has a history of late-season freezes in the spring, the management company needs to protect the building and pipes from freezing by keeping the heat on and usually can't switch over to air conditioning until mid-May. Thankfully, evenings and nights in the spring are very cool, which makes it easy to keep the condo cool as long as you close up the windows and blinds during the day. It should also be noted that if you leave the "air conditioner" on when it's not actually cooling, it will only continue to blow warm air into the condo making it hotter.

Property was great but I recommend the owners use a different management company.
We used this property in the summer, so proximity was not as important. The unit having 3 bedrooms/3 baths was perfect. The unit was nicely designed and decorated with wood floors and very large sitting area. The rooms were clean, however the items in the closets (including extra sheets/blankets) needed cleaning. Our only complaint was dealing with the mgmt company. I sent text with 45 min notice to mgmt company stating we were on our way. With poor reception, the reply was not rec'd until approaching the unit. When I called Matthew, the first thing he said was "didn't you get my message?" with a terse tone. Upon reaching the unit, we noticed there were no soap bars, only "quarter size" hand soap. I asked Matthew about the soap and he said they ordered a month ago and they should get in shortly. A better outcome would be to go to the store and get the supplies. To the owners: you could use some basics such as wine opener, cheese slicer and a better mgmt company.

Without guest reviews we are unable to continue improving on our service so we thank guests for providing the feedback. We do want to clarify that the owner has a 'meet and greet' service which is provided by his housekeeper. We, SteamboatRBO, are the management company and handle most aspects of a guests rental process except for that handled by the housekeeping company. Had the guest alerted us that they were having issues checking in, we would have handled it right away. After seeing this review we spoke with the housekeeping company about the situation and they assured us that they didn't mean to have that tone and were very apologetic that it was taken that way. In the end, all the issues have been addressed and won't be issues in the future.

Good property, but sound travels between floors
The condo was nice - spacious, comfortable and well stocked. We found there to be a number of nice additions such as a step stool for kids in a bathroom and a good amount of toiletries and kitchen items such as spices, etc. We loved the close location of the pool and the nice, large deck. The only problem with the unit is that the hardwood floors cause sound to travel between the floors when people are walking. We understand that that's part of the deal and didn't worry about when we heard people above us, but the people below us were furious with us the entire trip, coming up to complain, banging on the ceiling incessantly, and even calling in a noise complaint for when we woke up earlier than usual to leave for a hike. I will say that the unit owners, when they contacted us about the complaint, were supportive and understanding of our frustration of the situation, but there was no real solution other than to tiptoe around the unit and yell at your kids to be quiet (when they aren't even really being loud), and who wants that for your 9 day vacation? That situation was the one really disappointing aspect of the stay, and that has more to do with the individuals below us than the property as a whole. Otherwise, the unit was nice and enjoyable.

Thank you for your review. When this situation occurred, we did speak to the on site HOA management company, who confirmed that the people occupying the unit below were rental guests who voiced many other "unreasonable" complaints during their visit. While we do and will continue to ask our guests to remove shoes, ski boots, etc, upon entry, we think that this occasion was primarily a result of the guests below being overly sensitive. We also hope that future guests will love the look and feel of the beautiful solid hickory hardwood floors in this unit. They are quite nice!
Communication was good as well as the location. You can walk to the base of the mountain or take the shuttle. The unit did get warm. We turned off the thermostat and opened the windows to cool it down.

The condo was very comfortable for our family. The living room was spacious enough for us to all have plenty of room. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. The location was good and quickly-responding shuttles took us everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay here again.

Very Good
The sink near the toilet drains really slow. This is the bathroom behind the stove wall. We love to grill but the deck was really dirty. We grilled anyway. I would think that prior to guests arriving, the deck area would have been cleaned up. I don't think it is the job of the guests to clean it up to enjoy it.
Wonderful location, well stocked kitchen for cooking and very comfortable. We did have an issue with the heater breaking during our stay, but we got quick assistance, and the staff was extremely friendly.

Check in Nightmare
After a nice long drive with 3 children we were excited to get checked into this condo. Upon arrival I followed all instructions given to me, but the key provided wouldn't work at any door. I went to the front desk, called 4 numbers listed on the instructions, but only one answered that was an answering service and didn't even know where I was staying. One guy doesn't even work there anymore, should probably remove his number. The on call person was supposed to get in touch with me... they didn't... so I had to call again. Long story short, it took about 4 hours for someone to resolve this issue and all the while it was as though I was a bother to most involved. Asking me to hurry back because they were there now.... ha! I had waited there for 2 hours before going to get my children some dinner, and when you finally get it figured out I'm supposed to hurry back for your convenience. Terrible treatment of the customer and there still wasn't a working key until the next morning at 10:00 so we couldn't leave.
Will not stay again, nor will we stay anywhere managed by the same company.

After a long drive, the last thing a guest wants is trouble with the arrival process. We completely get that. We hear from guests regularly on how nice it was to have a seamless arrival after their long travel day. That said, we understand how frustrating it is when it doesn’t go according to plan. As a result of this guest's experience we’ve switched our key system to use a more reliable type of key. There were a few problems with the programming of the key type used for this guest's stay and we wanted to make sure that wasn’t an issue moving forward. In this particular situation, the owner of our company personally went to the unit and waited for the guests to return from dinner to make sure they had no more issues accessing the property. We never want to bother guests on vacation too early in the morning so we sent an agent over to deliver more keys at 9am. Had the guest let us know they needed the keys earlier than that, we would have had no problem accommodating them. Some guests sleep in and some wake up early, we have no way of knowing what type of guest one is unless they let us know. Communication is key and we encourage guests to reach out with any and all concerns/comments. We are available 24/7 for our guests during and before their stay.
This was the perfect getaway- everything was so convenient!

The property owners housekeeper died the week of this guests arrival. When she arrived several things were not perfect. Within 30 minutes our staff had the laundry bag removed, the clean dishwasher unloaded and the clean range grates back in place.
My husband and I booked this place to go visit his son and wife. The rest of our adult kids joined us and this condo was extremely comfortable! We LOVED the location and the easy walk to The Wild Plum! We will be back!!
Wonderful condo, great location! Would definitely stay again! Only recommendation is the small king bedroom needs better lighting, perhaps a stand up lamp next to the bed.
