With a direct view of the 2013 AMERICAS CUP finish line, this penthouse was the ideal location to enjoy the races.

What was the AMERICAS CUP VILLAGE, during the 2013 racing competition, is now SAN FRANCISCO'S new INTERNATIONAL CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL. Visiting cruise ships from around the world berth just yards away. At night, lights from the ships illuminate the penthouse deck.

The interior is newly remodeled with high end finishes, fixtures, furnishings and artwork. Wall to wall glass doors open to the deck, inviting in sea breeze and abundant light. The look is contemporary and cosmopolitan, the feeling is of complete comfort, privacy and tranquility.

Enjoy breathtaking views of San Francisco Bay and many iconic City landmarks from two expansive decks. Coit Tower stands above the bedroom deck, aglow in the colors of the season. The views are spectacular. At night, the dazzling, internationally acclaimed Bay Bridge Lights art show is in full display.

This penthouse, with 'reach out and touch water views' puts you in the center of all the maritime action. One can easily imagine being in the captains private quarters, just off the bridge of a luxury cruise ship.

One block off the bustling Embarcadero ; a panoramic pedestrian boulevard, our historic neighborhood is quiet and safe. A palethera of eateries, both local favorites and trendy new restaurants, are within easy walking distance.

South, along the Embarcadero; you will find numerous public parks, the landmark Ferry Building (hosting weekly farmers markets), the new Exploratorium Muesum, the Embarbcadero Shopping Center, AT&T Ballpark; home of the San Francisco Giants and many great restaurants.

Good Show!

We stayed for more than a month & thoroughly enjoyed the property. Marvelous and safe location with an 8th floor view of the bay from two decks. The hosts furnished it smartly & completely & were pleasant to deal with.

As City residents seeking a still-comfortable-after-more-than-a-month temporary housing during our home remodel, we found this home to be just about everything as advertised (full kitchen with ample cookware and dishware, ample work space and WiFi, spacious decks, marvelous view, in-unit washer and dryer, secure parking). A deeply-appreciated plus: Shaun and Jan— hospitable hosts attentive to our needs from check-in orientation (to “smart” appliance controls) to periodic checking throughout our stay for possible problems/needs. An “out of order” spa was one of the few disappointments.

Amazing stay!

We loved our month at Shaun's amazing condo. Shaun is so easy to work with. Check in and check out was super simple. The apartment is very nicely decorated, updated, incredibly clean and well stocked. The location is fabulous! Right off the Embarcadero. You can not beat the view! Walkable to many great restaurants. North Beach is around the corner. Don't think twice about renting this unit! We can't wait to go back!!

Exciting!

This penthouse has all amenities available including coffee. The view from the deck was incredible. We found the king size bed and pillows extremely comfortable as well as the living room furniture. Everything to do in the harbor area was within walking distance. The parking spot included was wonderful for us to take a day trip out of the city and return to the building with ease. As a regular VRBO renter, we highly recommend this penthouse. The owners greeted us to show use of the appliances and garage. A special touch was fresh flowers throughout. We felt on top of the world! This is the place to stay.

VACATION OF A LIFETIME

My wife and I stayed in this exquisite condo for 5 weeks while on sebatical at UCSF and could not have wished for better accommodations. The property location is one city block from the bay, on level ground, and close to countless interesting places to see and things to do, after all....this is San Francisco. The tree lined neighborhood is charming and safe.The condo interior is comfortable, tasteful, and spotless. What truly makes this home special is the extraordinary view from the spacious terrace. The bay is so near that every vessel on the water from kayak to cruise ship is right there. And the action never stops...sunrise to sunset. Hands down, our best VRBO expierance. Thanks Shaun...until next time.

City of Love

Having attended college & lived in San Francisco for many years, we are locals living in nearby Marin County whom really know our way around the City. We travel the world; our standards for 'playing tourist' in SF are even higher. Located in THE perfect neighborhood - on the Bay, Coit Tower, Ferry Building restaurants, Pacific Bell Park, North Beach, great bars, live entertainment, etc.. Everything is in easy walking distance - but the neighborhood itself is especially quiet. As a fairly exacting designer/architect my criterion are quite high...the penthouse is a beautifully designed, sleek, well appointed, super clean & up to date - with all the amenities. Views spectacular. We so chilled. We both agreed it was one of our BEST vacations ever. The owners were completely accessible for any questions, always personable and so very kind. WE'LL BE BACK!

A first-class property in a first-rate location

My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with the month we spent in this beautifully furnished, tastefully decorated, and generously supplied apartment. We often cooked at home in the very well-equipped kitchen. And many of the city's best restaurants and attractions are an easy Muni or ride-share away. One of the things we loved most (and already miss) are the spectacular views of the harbor and the Bay Bridge, along with the bright light that floods through the wall-to-wall glass sliders. We'll be back!

Great Location

First, the view is outstanding. My husband and I wanted to learn more about San Francisco and this condo was the perfect choice. We could see all the water traffic in and out of the bay. With the location being 2 blocks from the Embarcadero we could do tourist stuff or walk to Coit Tower and Chinatown. There were amazing restaurants within walking distance. The condo had everything we needed. We really enjoyed it and hope to stay here again in the future.

Spectacular view and stay

North Beach VRBO

This property is superb. The owners met us at check in and we did a walk through. The property was very clean and the location is perfect. Very secure with a parking garage. Located on the top floor (8th floor). Excellent views of the San Francisco Bay and the Oakland Bay Bridge. Everything we needed was available. Highly recommended.

Sophisticated

In San Francisco completing a graduate degree of Interior Architecture & Design, I wanted to spend a few additional weeks after graduation to enjoy a city I came to love. My husband and I spent a month at this perfectly located condo. It is not only the best area you could be in SF, the current remodeling completed by Jan & Shaun is efficient, functional and easy to appreciate. That is just the interior - the joy of watching fog cover the bay from your living room is phenomenal. The hosts are gracious, accommodating and provide a lifestyle you would not find in most accommodations. I highly recommend this as a long term stay.

Better than the Photos

If possible, Shaun and Jan's condo is better in person than shown in the photos. My wife and I spent the entire month of July 2016 in this great place and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations and the helpful information provided by the owners. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. Unlike many places in which we have stayed, the kitchen is very well appointed with everything you'll need to cook at home (assuming you're not inclined to sample all the conveniently located restaurants) . We spent many afternoons and evenings on one of the two large decks watching all of the action on the bay. The location is great. We walked most places we wanted to go. We loved the quiet neighborhood. There is even a concierge on duty 24/7, who received our weekly mail forwarding package and called us upon receipt. We look forward to our next extended San Francisco stay in this special place.

Great For Long Term Stay

I have stayed in Shaun's property for 3 months this summer and loved every day of it. The house is spacious, clean, and the views from the balcony is amazes you every time. Also, the location of the condo is great since it is close to many attractions upon the Pier. In addition, the gym and sauna facilities in the complex are great. All in all, I highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a special place to stay in San Francisco for an extended amount of time.

Really Great!

My wife and I had the best vacation we have had in 10 years with our extended stay at this property. The decks with views of the bay and proximity to EVERYTHING are not to be understated. Shaun has a very relaxed hospitality and will give you all the hints you need to explore the city. Located 2 blocks from the F line tram allows you to go everywhere you want in the city. We had a great time running up and down the Filbert steps which are just a few blocks away. Very close to groceries and several great restaurants. Mostly you will want to just relax on the balconies and take it all in.

one of our best vacations

My husband and I spent so much time on the deck and enjoyed watching the sunrise over the water with a mimosa in hand. The layout is perfect. We liked the nice quiet location.. In walking distance to my favorite place the Filbert Steps. We loved the place so much we would come back during the day to take a break and to enjoy that great view. Washer and dryer, beautiful kitchen, 2 decks, a fantastic shower and a comfy king size bed. Shaun is very nice also. What more could you want?

A great escape!

We stayed here for three nights, and we loved it. It is exactly as the photos display, and Shaun couldn't have been a better host. He was there to meet us and acquaint us with the condo and all the amenities. It was a great place to come back to after a day of touring around. We spent every evening out on the balcony enjoying a glass of wine and watching the light show on the Bay Bridge. This is away from the crowds but only a hop, skip and a jump from fisherman's wharf. I have recommended this place to all my friends.

Amazing couple getaway

My wife and I had never been to SF so we planned this trip around our third anniversary. Avoiding hotels and getting something more intiment and upscale while being affordable was our main focus, and this penthouse could not have been more perfect. The views from the deck are amazing, and we enjoyed much of our Napa purchases outside. The location to various sights and being able to walk around in a safe neighborhood was also priceless. Your host is very helpful and polite, and made an all-around great experience.

Great location

This was a great place to stay. Beautiful condo. Pictures were exactly as shown. It was great to have such a beautiful view of the bay. Would rent here again when I return. It is a great place to stay when you don't have a car. I spent 3 weeks just walking the city. Perfect location. I would definitely rent again. Felt totally safe. We have been coming to San Francisco for 20 years for short visits. This was the best trip. Great accommodations.

Beautiful mini Getaway

Amazing stay

My wife and I stayed at this incredible one bedroom for the last three days. We have stayed at VRBO's all around the US and I think this was the best one ever. We met Shaun when we picked up the keys and he was a great host. The pictures shown on the site were exactly like the condo, bed was great, kitchen and bath were great as were the views. Can't say any more other than we will be staying here next time.

Place of healing

This condo was a place of healing for me. It was quiet and so comfortable. The views were amazing and I so enjoyed waking up to the bay every morning. I stayed for one month and that really went too quickly. The owners are so wonderful and easy to work with. I loved this romantic and hip hide away. Thanks again for sharing this gem with me, Shaun. I lived every minute!
