I rated this stay a 3/5 star because I was not sent the password or directions for the house/stay and had been trying to get a hold of the house owner, VRBO, and Expedia people for hours before I had received a helpful phone call. I was calling consistently from 8:00pm-12:00am the night I was supposed to begin my stay, we were put on hold for a long period of time with the VRBO people, but finally the house owners received our multiple messages and unlocked the house at midnight.
The house owners fully refunded me for my first night due to the inconveniences that took place, and the house itself was very clean and cute. This house is antique, not the best for young children, but appropriate for adults. Although the start of the trip was very stressful because I was not sent any keys or information about the VRBO house, I was very grateful that the owners were both very apologetic, and that I was able to receive a refund for the inconveniences that took place at the beginning of our trip, the rest of our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable, this Historic Home would make for a lovely couples get away, but again not the best stay for families with young children.
