This cabin has a great layout with plenty of space inside and out. The lakefront was beautiful and dock was great for sitting and fishing. Quiet and pristine Northwood lake location
Property is great! The kitchen was spacious and had all the appliances needed, we cooked our all meals here! Access to the lake was great, we spent time kayaking and fishing. Very relaxing place. Would definitely come back!
The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The views were spectacular and the deer in the yard came right up to the deck every morning and evening. The kids really enjoyed seeing them up close!
We came up for a biking weekend and loved this location. The trail from Bear Head to Ely was gorgeous! We enjoyed the cabin, especially the deck in the evenings. A little awkward set up for two couples with the only shower being upstairs in master, but we managed! Beautiful location and very nice cabin!
Enjoyed our stay here for our annual girl's trip- clean and comfortable, plenty of space for everyone, plus a really nice kitchen/ dining area for everyone to gather and be together. Great lake views with lots of waterfront, felt very private in the back. Lake access was great and we loved the chance to kayak and swim. Beautiful property, easy to get to & close to Ely. The owner, Rob, was very helpful and easy to reach.
We had the best time at Rob’s cabin! We needed a comfortable place to kick off our memorial day weekend camping trip at Bear Head Lake - this cozy cabin was the perfect spot. The space was so comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. Watching the sunrise over the lake from the family room over coffee was a dream. Communicating with Rob was quick and easy - we highly recommend this property and we WILL be back!!
We were looking for an escape from our daily life and this was perfect! From the views and the large property, beautiful spacious home and seclusion we were able to totally relax and regain some peace in our souls. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!!
Well kept, great porch, perfect location for giants ridge/ wilderness golf outing
We had 4 guys for a golf trip. The porch was perfect for hanging out/ watching a movie. Great kitchen. The space was clean and didn’t see a single bug in the house. It might be a little warm on hot days (2 portable AC units were available but it was pretty cool during our stay. Rob communicated quickly.
The property was everything we wanted and needed for our time "up north". The lake was beautiful. We even saw the Northern lights! The area was quiet and the location convenient to Tower or Ely. The house itself had plenty of space for gathering or quiet time. Rob was very responsive. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

We had a beautiful trip even tough the area around us was in a flood. The cabin is perfectly placed with no neighbors to the left or right of the place. There was plenty of room for all my adult children. The quiet and beauty of lake country was perfect. We could hear loons and deer walked across the yard while we were there.
We had a great time watching eagles, ducks, and deer from the lake side dock, deck, and living room. We had a mama bear and 2 cubs cross the road on the way to town. The aurora borealis photography opportunity from the docks were as good as we have seen professionals shoot. The lake house was clean, comfortable, and matched the pictures.
Dear Laura,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely value all guest comments as they help us improve our services.
I want to take a moment to clarify a few points regarding your stay. After each checkout, our team of meticulous cleaners thoroughly inspects and cleans every room, including floors, blankets, towels, and dishes, to ensure the highest standards for our incoming guests. We strive to provide a clean and welcoming environment for everyone and have received nothing but glowing reviews for the cleanliness and the home's readiness to host.
We also want to address the damages incurred during your stay. Unfortunately, your pet caused significant damage, resulting in hundreds of dollars in repairs and cleaning costs within less than 24 hours. It was also challenging for our cleaners to make sure the home was ready for the next guest due to the smell and "cleanup." We truly appreciate the love and care that pets bring, but we must address damage when it occurs. We noticed that your review was posted after you were charged for these damages, which made it a bit concerning for us and feels more like an unfortunate retaliation.
Additionally, we understand that sometimes issues arise during a stay, and we encourage our guests to communicate any concerns directly with us at check-in or while still on the property. This helps us to address any problems promptly and enhance your experience. You did not notify us of any issues at all upon arrival or departure.
We hope you understand that our policies are in place to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of all our guests. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, and God bless.
Best regards,
Rob

This wonderful property is perfectly tucked away to give you a sense of calm and relaxation. We were able to wake up early and take the kayaks fishing on the lake and then spend the day playing in the water right around the dock. It’s great for smaller children as well for swimming and having a place to come together with friends to spend time enjoying the outdoors. It’s a wonderful distance from cute towns to explore and enjoy small Minnesota charm.
Anything needed was already provided, a full kitchen, towels, grills, outdoor spaces, laundry and any questions were promptly answered by the owner.
We are already excited to plan our next trip.

Loved the location and the home was spacious enough for our group of 8, nice view of the lake out the living room windows. A few things that should be addressed, bbq grill on deck unusable smoked terribly and dirty before we even grilled, portable air conditioner units were not setup for our use had to rig up cardboard pieces with duct tape, had to wipe out fridge and microwave not cleaned very well and hot pad holders not washed and in ragged shape. It was a very nice location nice and private we had a older doe come in everynight to a salt lick and we gave her apples and carrots nightly and a bear wandered thru one evening so that was excitng!!! The granddaughters swam next to the dock and there is a nice sitting area there under the trees, all and all we a nice time.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful rental cabin on Eagles Nest Lake 3 and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The cabin was nestled in a serene and picturesque location, offering breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding nature. The peacefulness and tranquility of the setting made for a truly relaxing getaway. We were greeted every morning by deer walking through the yard.
The owner of the cabin was incredibly responsive and helpful whenever we had questions or needed assistance. Their attentiveness and willingness to ensure our stay was enjoyable added an extra layer of comfort to the whole experience.
I would highly recommend this rental cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning views and a responsive, accommodating owner. It truly deserves a 5-star rating!
