The Copper Birch private studio is your ideal basecamp for adventure. Our prime location is only 40 minutes from Anchorage, less than10 to Palmer, 15 to Wasilla, and 3 miles to the Alaska State Fair. Enjoy weekly local farmers' markets and food trucks. Less than 5 miles from the Mat-su Regional Hospital, this is an ideal location for traveling nurses as well. Our quiet neighborhood with no thorough fare traffic has access to miles of UAF trails and 3 lakes that you can walk to or rent our kayaks and canoe. Bask in views of Pioneer Peak from the hammock, soak in the corner jacuzzi tub, and enjoy the fire pit gazebo.
The Space Your private studio facing Pioneer Peak has a boutique feel with rustic charm. Enjoy your morning coffee on the interior bay window swing, your private patio with full size grill, by the cozy gas fireplace, or outside in the fire pit gazebo. Walk the path through the trees from your private parking area up the stairs to your suite.
The Copper Birch decor includes hand-painted birch trees with copper accents, emerald bay velvet drapes, USB charging station night stands, a king size bed with extra bedding, a twin electric air mattress with bedding, his and her granite vanity sinks, corner jetted jacuzzi tub, dining table for 2, bar space for 2, walk through gallery closet, shower, live edge shelving, custom birch log decor, Cusinart toaster oven that broils, bakes, and air fries, Keurig coffee machine, french press, electric skillet, microwave, and mini refrigerator with freezer.
Our property is heated by radiant in-floor heat and is on a private well. Water is filtered and treated with a water conditioning system for prime drinking water out of all of our faucets.
Guest Access Park in your own private area near the Copper Birch sign and walk past the gazebo fire pit on your left UP THE METAL GRATED STAIRS to your patio with full size grill and outdoor seating for 2. You will likely see eagles flying overhead during your stay. If a moose visits the property, please DO NOT FEED them or approach them. Enter your individual door code on the keypad to enter the suite through the sliding door.
Other Things To Note We have 2 single kayaks for rent and a 3 seater canoe at $40 each per day (including life vests & fishing gear) with drop-off and pick-up service at 4 local neighborhood lakes: Kepler/Bradley, Canoe, Irene, and Long Lake when available.
We would be happy to provide a Pack n' Play travel crib and high chair if needed. Please let us know if there are any other requests that would make your stay more enjoyable.
