Cozy year round cabin on Lake Osakis with game room, deck and kayaks!

Our cozy cabin, Walleye Retreat, is in the perfect location. Walk or take a short drive to downtown Osakis, bike or drive to Alexandria, or simply bring all you need and stay put at the cozy cabin on the lake. Our front porch features so many games you may not want to leave! Kayaks are available for your use! Our neighbors rent out a lift if you wish to bring your boat! Let us know in advance if you want to rent our neighbors lift! Do you fish? Do you read? Do you have retreats with your friends(bible study, crafting, book reading, marriage, etc)? Do you love to bike? Do you love to antique? Do you love to just sit and have peace? Love to icefish ? Snowmobile? Cross country ski? Snow shoe? Want a month or multi month getaway? If you answered YES to any of those then Walleye Retreat will be perfect for your escape from the real world!** Short Term Rental May - August. Mid-Term only rental Sept-April.

Please remove all your food from fridge, counters and cupboards and bring with you!

Please take your shoes off in the cabin.
Please observe respectful quiet hours between 10pm -8am when outdoors.

We loved our stay here and will be back. Weather was a little rough for us but we still caught plenty of fish! Once we figured out the boat lift, it was great having that option right there. This was a trip with friends, but I would love bringing my family back here as well.

Great stay on the lake

A wonderfully refurbished cabin on the grounds of the old Idelwilde resort. Close to downtown Osakis and mere blocks from access to the Central Lakes and Lake Wobegon bike trails. Lake Osakis literally at your front door. Very quiet and peaceful location. Very clean. New towels and sheets. Every modern convenience with a “rustic” decor. Has AC and heat but we didn’t use either. Many windows to open up and let fresh air in. Great sunsets can be seen from spacious front porch.To all the bike loves the Wobegon and Central lakes trail meet in Osakis to give you over 120 miles of paved trails with small towns every 5-10 miles so you can stop for lunch or ice cream whenever you get the urge.
