About this property
Relaxing lakefront cottage near wineries and beach
Nestled between Lake Erie and Cedar creek conservation area, our cottage is the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway!
Our kitchen is well stocked and we provide a propane bbq to help you grill up a great dinner.
We have 3 bedrooms each with a queen size bed on the 2nd floor. The master bedroom has access to a private balcony with fantastic views.
The upstairs bathroom is spacious and freshly renovated. There is a walk in shower, double vanity, and an additional makeup vanity complete with an LED lit mirror.
There is a 2nd bathroom on the main level with a tub/ shower combo unit.
On the main level, we have a den with a double bed. It is closed from the main living space, but also functions as a walkthrough to upstairs.
We have a large dining table in the main living space with seating for 8. There is a small desk with a view of the lake, should anyone in your group need a place to work. Our internet was recently upgraded to high speed fibre optic making it easy to stream or work remotely.
Gather around in the living room and make use of the fireplace in colder months. We have books and games available for guests to enjoy. There is free wifi, antenna tv, and streaming services available on the smart 55" tv. There is also a smaller 2nd tv in the den.
There is a large locked shed if you want to store any personal recreational equipment.
Other things to note: Water Access: Lake Erie is a Great Lake ! We have many calm days, however we also have rough, wavy days. We have large (2foot) flat rocks leading to the water but do NOT have beach. Water is approximately 2 feet deep upon entry and there are rocks in the water. We suggest bringing water shoes if you plan to get in! Small children and guests with mobility limitations will find water entry difficult, but can explore nearby Cedar beach for water entry. A variety of life jackets and some floats are provided. 2 sit on kayaks and 2 cruiser bikes are available for guest use. Should you choose to enter the water or use the kayaks or bikes, you do so at your own risk.
While we welcome families with children of all ages, small children will require close supervision in the backyard. Inside, we have a safety gate at the top of stairs. We also have a playpen, booster seat, baby audio monitor, and infant bouncy seat available upon advanced request.

This was one of the best homes we’ve ever stayed in! The layout was perfect for our group and they really thought of everything to make your stay as cozy as possible. The outdoor area is beautiful! We loved sitting on the deck for the little sun we had, and sitting out of the wind under the gazebo! Everything was so comfortable! We had a great time exploring Kingsville and visiting the local breweries!
We travelled from the US for a wedding nearby. The Heritage on the Rocks was absolutely stunning and inviting. Very good amenities, tastefully furnished, plenty of space yet cozy. Stunning sunrise view over Lake Erie. Communication with host was smooth and very prompt.
This property is in a perfect location. The view was great. Loved the layered decking. The house was super clean. I would highly recommend staying at Heritage on the Rocks.
This is a beautiful, comfortable property. Dealing with the owner, check-in and check-out was a breeze. Everything was logical, well-considered and conveniently arranged. 100% would recommend and return.
This is the type of property and host on which VRBO can continue to build its brand. The property is wonderful, and the location could not have been better for us. This was the second time at this property, and we have already scheduled for next year. The host is one of the best we've ever encountered.

Thank you so much for the kind words Marsh ! We really appreciate it !
What a beautiful vacation home and so very well thought out. I felt like the captain of a ship when standing on the second story balcony overlooking Lake Erie. We will be coming back for sure. The view is breathtaking, air conditioning is cold, so many nice places to sit and relax, and one of the most important details for me was that the kitchen is well stocked! My family and I loved our stay.
Our time at “Heritage on the Rocks” was all we’d hoped for. Every need was anticipated, and the beauty of the house - and its magnificent location - will linger long with us.
Great location, cottage is clean and comfortable.
The only thing we missed was a fire pit.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay ! We would love to add a fire pit but unfortunately there is no safe space on our property for this. Some of the wineries do fire pits in cooler weather.
Everything about this place is great. From the house, the view and the amenities available. I'll book this place again in summer just to use the kayaks since we didn't get a chance to use them.
We have never had a VRBO better than this. From the second we walked in, we felt at home, and it was very clear from the cleanliness, design, and overall experience the owners really care about their guests having an amazing stay.

Thank you Marsh ! We truly do hope that our guests get to relax and unwind while staying at our place !
Such a cute place a real home feel to this Vrbo! We needed a place for our family to stay and get ready prior to our daughter’s wedding, and this cottage worked out beautifully. When the sun was out , we were able to enjoy the outdoor seating areas. Such a nice addition to the property! The host was amazing and returned phone calls and emails in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend this property!
This property is even better than expected. The cottage is very clean, comfortable, and extremely welcoming. The outdoor space is amazing for those who love to be by the water. Kingsville and area has lots of great restaurants, markets, and coffee. The hosts are fantastic and we are grateful for a our full week stay with no issues, everything we needed, and excellent communication with our hosts.
It was an awesome getaway to a beautiful cottage! We were able to enjoy the wineries, restaurants and quaintness of Kingsville. But most importantly our time spent at the cottage was so much fun! It offers all you would need!!
We would highly recommend staying at Julie and Kevin’s place.
A group of friends from university met for the weekend. We had a fabulous stay! The view of the lake was spectacular and we enjoyed being so close to the local wineries. The bottle of wine and butter tarts were a great welcome gift from our hosts. Can't wait to come back again!
