About this property
Lofted chalet w/hot tub & sweeping views
The Space:
Morning light spills across tall chalet‑style windows, revealing layered ridgelines that stretch for miles. A gentle breeze carries the scent of pine as you step onto the wraparound deck, steam rising from the hot tub while the valley below glitters in the distance. Evenings settle with quiet stars and the soft glow of a fire pit just beyond the door, inviting you to unwind at a pace set by the mountains. Perched high on Highland Springs Mountain, this lofted cabin offers a peaceful retreat where nature takes center stage.
Sleeping arrangements
The loft‑style bedroom features a queen bed positioned to catch the early sunrise, providing a comfortable haven for two. A sleeper sofa in the living area adds extra sleeping space, allowing the cabin to accommodate up to four guests.
Kitchen & dining
A fully stocked kitchen invites you to prepare meals at your own pace, with ample counter space for cooking, gathering, and enjoying a hearty breakfast before heading out. Simple dinnerware and a cozy dining nook make indoor meals relaxed and easy, especially during cooler weather.
Living space
The open, lofted layout feels airy yet cozy, with expansive windows framing sweeping mountain views. A Smart TV offers streaming options, while fast, reliable Wi‑Fi and a dedicated workspace let you stay connected for video calls or a movie night after a day of adventure.
Outdoor living
Step onto the deck to soak in the hot tub, a perfect contrast to crisp winter air or a cool summer evening, while the fire pit anchors the space for starlit gatherings. The deck provides room for grilling, and the surrounding backyard opens up for quiet contemplation of the natural landscape.
Family‑friendly & pet‑friendly touches
Children’s books, toys, and board games are available for younger guests, and dinnerware is ready for family meals. The cabin welcomes dogs, making it easy to bring a four‑legged companion, but cats are not permitted due to allergies.
Getting around & the area
AWD or 4×4 vehicles are recommended, especially in winter, as side roads may be gravel, packed dirt, or icy. Nearby attractions include ATV off‑roading trails, the Potomac River for boating or kayaking, and expansive public lands for hiking and wildlife viewing.
Perfect for
Couples, small families, or friends seeking a mountaintop escape where comfort, simplicity, and far‑reaching views combine to create a truly grounded getaway.

My wife and I stayed here looking for expansive views and quiet to enjoy the Fall foliage in late October. This property over-delivered. It was a wonderful stay with amazing views and extremely quiet and remote. We would definitely stay here again. Communication was superb - fast responses and super informative.

Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)
My fiancé and I have stayed in alot of places from casino hotels to cabins in the woods. This place was by far the best place we've stayed at. Being able to bring our dog was great, the cabin was VERY clean and well kept from the kitchen to the fire pit. And honestly what made the trip top notch was the service from the host. If we needed anything at all they were on it. This alone made the trip worth the money.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
What makes this property unique
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our chalet is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
