About this property
Amazing Beach House On 2 Ocean Beaches - Fox River (Parrsboro), Nova Scotia
This one-of-a-kind, private, secluded cottage is the perfect Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia vacation rental for families with children, reunions with family members and friends, couples and friends, and solitary travelers. Enjoy spectacular private panoramic ocean views and the world's highest tides - 24/7. As an added bonus, the Beach House is the only vacation rental property actually on or within walking distance of the beach and shore in Fox River.
The Beach House is meant to be your home when you are there. It was planned so that everything needed for a vacation is there for you, except your food. All linens and towels are provided, as we know that no one wants to be dragging wet towels back home on the plane or taking up precious room in the car.
As the Beach House is on 2 ocean beaches, there is often a lovely breeze from one or both, and as each room has a cross-breeze, it does not have air conditioning.
Upstairs, two bedrooms and a sun room (includes a large double leather sofa bed) provide sleeping for 6 to 8. The downstairs office/den has a day bed for privacy for one guest and cots and children's beds are available for additional guests.
Meals can be eaten in an eating/sitting area, which has a fireplace made from rocks from the beach, or in a spacious dining room which overlooks an unbelievably beautiful salt water marsh - really, the pristine elegance of nature. The Beach House is luxuriously furnished with antiques and unique furniture, all of which were locally refinished for the Beach House. The Beach House has so many windows that the exterior walls appear to be virtually windows. Leave a window open at night and let the sound of the Bay of Fundy tides - the highest tides in the world - lull you to sleep. All windows in the house have custom made curtains and curtain rods.
Some 3-day weekends are available - contact owner for a quote
The panoramic day time ocean views from the windows and balconies are spectacular, and you will be amazed by the beautiful night views. As the air is extremely clear, you can generally see all the constellations and, of course, the waves, the moon on the water and the twinkling lights from across the Bay of Fundy - all the way to Blomidon and Cape Split.
The Beach House has all the modern conveniences. Radiant heat in the floor keeps your feet warm all year. The house has its own septic system, security system, satellite TV, and wireless highspeed internet access, so you can catch up with friends while working on your tan & listening to the tide come in & go out.
The Beach House will make all your vacation dreams come true - the house is 2000 square feet, plus 2 balconies, a main floor deck with see-through walls, a basement, and lots of outdoor furniture for each of the balconies, main floor deck and the lawn. This magical location is simply beautiful and the pristine elegance of nature was surely created specifically for your energizing, rest and relaxation. The interior of the house is welcoming and gives you a taste of sophisticated living in a rural and small town setting. Various kinds of art - folk, modern, photo - and comfortable and interesting furniture, quilts, and much more add interest throughout the house. Thirty-eight windows, including twelve picture-size windows, provide for natural light and forever-changing views from each room.
The Beach House has loads of books, jig saw puzzles, board games, beautiful views for artists and photographers, lots of community activities that you are welcome to participate in - live summer theatre, art galleries, including pottery/painting/fabric, museums, sea kayaking lessons, art workshops, and much more.
