Welcome to The Lazy Buck Cabin. Outdoor fun for the entire group awaits when you spend your next exciting getaway at this wooded Merrillan cabin rental! The beautiful log cabin includes 3 levels of living space which lets multiples families have their own private area. Our cabin is located across from Buckhorn Lake, which you can view from our spacious wrap around deck. Buckhorn lake is a no-wake peaceful lake where you can kayak or canoe with the kayaks and canoe we provide. Property has access to the ATV/UTV/Snowmobile Trails and our massive parking lot ensures you have plenty of room for multiple trailers.

Buckhorn Lake: Across from cabin, no-wake quiet lake. Great for kayaking or canoeing.
Lake Arbutus: 1 mile away, has a 30 foot sandy public beach, dock & boat ramp. Park also offers grills, tables & shelters plus an ice cream shop we always visit.
UTV/ATV Trails: Cabin is centrally located in the middle of the trail system with over 135 miles of trails
Wazee Lake: 11 miles away, clearest & deepest inland lake in Wisconsin. Most popular scuba diving site in Midwest. Large sandy beach with food and drinks for purchase. We always visit this lake!
Levis Mound Trail Center: 6 miles away, 39 miles of hiking & mountain biking trails

Nearby Towns: Hatfield (1 mile) Black River Falls (11 miles) Neillsville (17 miles)

Callie was a great host! She was prompt in communicating and responding to questions I had. The cabin is beautiful and peaceful! It is on a quiet street. We even had 3 deer hang out in the back yard for quite some time. Callie was very thoughtful with items in and out of the cabin from bikes/trike, kayaks, pack and play, booster chair, toys, coloring books, bathroom items, etc. My family felt "at home." Our only regret was not staying longer.

Being from Eastern Iowa we have vacationed to the Hatfield area several times for UTV trail riding, as well as having several lakes in close proximity for relaxing lake days with our families. We personally stayed at The Lazy Buck Cabin as guests and fell in love with the cabin and area. So when the opportunity arose to make it our permanent vacation home and rental we couldn't pass it up. We cannot wait to provide you with top notch customer service and the best experience while vacationing at our cabin and show you why we fell in love with this area.

Why they chose this property

Our cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood. From our front porch you can see Buckhorn Lake across the road which is a no-wake lake that you can use our kayaks or canoe to explore. When you are ready to take off for the UTV/ATV trails we are centrally located for easy access to the North or South trails. And if you decide you want to grab a bite to eat or a cold drink Hatfield is only 1 mile away with several bar and restaurant options.

What makes this property unique

Our 3 level cabin makes for lots of space to spread out for large families or several couples. Our huge parking lot out front means there is plenty of room to park trailers to unload. And the quiet neighborhood is the perfect place to come back to for relaxing after a full day of exploring the area.
