Unit 144 is a bright and spacious one bedroom, one bathroom, ground floor unit with a lovely landscaped and expanded private lanai. The unit has been extensive remodeled and updated.

Unit 144 features a large, semi-private lanai with a pleasant outlook to the manicured grounds and a partial ocean view. Located in sought after Hale Kamaole's upper section, away from the street noise of South Kihei Road, the unit is just steps away from one of two pools in the complex, the tennis court, and a traditional charcoal BBQ area.

Featuring an extra window to bring in plenty of Maui sunshine, the living room is furnished in a tropical style, with a queen size sleeper sofa, easy chair with ottoman, and a flat screen TV. Beautiful new tile flooring runs throughout the main living area.

The kitchen has been completely renovated with shaker style cabinets, solid granite counter tops, and stainless steel appliances. The large peninsula is perfect for preparing food or serving guests. The kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes, glassware, pots and pans.

The bathroom features a new vanity with granite counter top and luxurious towels.

The bedroom offers a new king size bed with memory foam topper, dresser with ample storage, and a second TV.

If its beach fun you crave, the lanai closet is stocked with a selection of boogie boards, beach chairs and snorkel gear for you to enjoy. Kamaole III beach is located directly across the street, with golden sand, great snorkeling, and a turtle or two!

A well equipped condo in a convenient but quieter part of Kihei

We loved our stay at Hale Kamaole. The property's grounds are well kept and this unit is furthest from the busy Kihei road. Our family especially appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was and how much beach gear was available. Plus, the two window A/Cs and celing fans kept the unit nice and cool.

Perfect getaway

This condo was very clean and well stocked for light cooking. I had family friends staying in a different condo of the property. It was great to use the community grill and swimming pool. The condo complex is extremely close to Kamaole III beach, such a treat to go for early morning swims and later be steps away from the gorgeous sunsets!

Fully updated condo with fantastic lanai. Everything you need including all the beach toys (snorkels, boogie boards, chairs etc) quiet location but close to restaurants, shops. Right across from one of the best family friendly beaches in Maui.

Rod & Joanne were totally awesome. The property & condo were excellent and pleasant and outstanding, comfortable and homey. I particularly liked how clean and organize that every item in the condo were provided so which made our honeymoon rememberable. I will recommend Rod & Joanne for there hospitality for sharing their home. Rod & Joanne was available when we had questions or concerns. A really great place to stay

As first-timers to Hawaii but otherwise experienced VRBO users, we enjoyed our time here tremendously. Kamole Beach III is just across the street. Could not be simpler to access the beach and water. The suite is away from the road so you don’t hear the street noise. The apartment itself provides all the comforts of home. A fully stocked kitchen, decent knives (and a sharpener!) so we could do some real cooking. Coffee makers of two kinds and all the stuff you don’t want to buy like sugar, coffee & filters and incidentally used kitchen items. Loads of spices. It first and foremost felt like it was their place and we just happened to be there for a week. The place is quite spacious too; the pictures don’t do it justice. Everything was clean and organized. There are A/C units and ceiling fans in both the bedroom and living area, as well as a portable tower fan. Massive fridge, LED TV with a million channels and the biggest WiFi router I have ever seen. Even an old fashioned landline if you were so inclined. There must have been 10 sets of snorkel gear and fins, kids and adult size, in the storage room, boogie boards and beach chairs for a small army. The pool was a refreshing option when the ocean was a bit too choppy. Rod & Joanne’s place has a natural stone-walled patio (Gecko heaven!). Evenings where whiled away having BBQ dinners on the patio, watching the geckos’ mating rituals and antics, and the beautiful sunsets. Parking is basically right outside your door. The welcome package we got also contained a discount card for a local food store, which saved us a good chunk of change. Up and down the whole area there are a myriad of beaches, something for everyone. We didn’t consider ourselves beach people but we may be converted … We’ll be back at Hale Kamaole at Rod and Joanne’s place for sure.

Cozy and Clean Gem in South Kihei

We stayed for 11 days and can’t wait to go back. The condo had everything we needed and more! The kitchen was fully equipped for making great dinners and full laundry facilities made it easy to clean clothes when necessary. The location was great with a quick walk to the beach where there are lots of turtles to swim with and waves to ride. Also, the condo was stocked with all the toys and gear (boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, etc) to have fun while we were at the beach. The place was clean, quiet and cool on hot days with a gorgeous lanai and quick access to the pool. In addition there is a large open area for the kids to run around safely with other kids staying there. It was also a quick walk to some restaurants and shaved ice :) I would definitely recommend to others looking for a place that is clean, comfortable, convenient and safe. Loved it! ❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful Condo

We go to Hale Kamaole every other year with a large group of friends. We have stayed in a couple of different condos but this one has definitely been our favourite. It was very clean, beautiful, private, it had everything we needed and it was so nice to have A/C in the unit and not just in the bedroom. Good for the kiddos at naptime! We loved it and would definitely be back.

Gorgeous Unit!

My family and I have stayed at many units within this complex and this is by far the nicest! The lenai is fully stocked with anything you would possibly need to make a great beach day. The unit is immaculate and very well maintained. As the chef of the house, I was grateful that the kitchen was so well stocked with any utensil or pan that I needed. Joanne and Rod are great to deal with and have certainly created a home away from home. I would certainly recommend this unit for your next stay!

Great condo!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Rod and Joane's condo at the Hale Kamaole. The condo was very clean and we loved sitting on the lanai enjoying our morning coffee. The lanai closet was well equipped with lots of beach toys and accessories. There was even some basic spices and condiments in the unit. The location was perfect and we enjoyed nightly sunsets at Kam III - right across the street. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends. It was a pleasure dealing with Rod and Joane and they responded quickly to our inquiries.

Awesome!

This was our 4th trip to Maui (3rd at Hale Kamaole). We whole heartedly agree with earlier reviews. The unit is clean, comfortable and fully stocked with more than you will need. Our grown daughter used the fold out bed and was very comfortable. If you are looking for a 1 bedroom, a ground floor unit is the way to go. It is so convenient for access to the BBQ, pool and parking. This one is an end unit so has additional windows for light and ventilation. We found the owners a pleasure to work with and everything went so smoothly. We will definitely be reaching out to them for our next Maui visit - hopefully next year!

An Enjoyable Second Visit

This was our second trip to Maui and our second time at the Hale Kamaole. Being it was just my husband and me this time around, we didn't need such a large unit and this unit fit the bill. We found it to be very comfortable and clean and had just about everything we could want (note: a salad spinner would be a welcome addition!). Other than that the unit was well stocked with towels, sheets, dishes, cutlery etc. along with the fun beach stuff in the lanai cupboard and we made good use of the in-suite washer and dryer. We also appreciated the "Canada" beer holders! The dining room and living room furniture was very comfortable as well although we didn't use the pull-out bed. The owners also have a mini-library of sorts if you're in need of something to read! We are used to a king size bed so I was a little leery about the queen bed but it was very comfortable and we were quite happy with it. We found the ground floor access to be so convenient especially when returning from the beach with gear. Instead of having to carry it upstairs and through the unit, we just dropped it off on the lanai first before going around to the front door. And the close proximity to the pool allowed for a quick dip whenever we felt like it! Being an end unit, it is in close proximity to the parking area but we didn't find a problem with noise. We already knew that the location of this complex was great since we'd been here before, being close to the beaches and just a short walk to restaurants and stores. It's also a short walk to the Kihei boat launch where some of the snorkeling tours leave from. We arrived rather late at night but Joanne, the owner, ensured that the office staff were aware of our late arrival and Katrina was there to let us into the unit without delay when we arrived. We plan to return to Maui and will definitely look to stay at this location again. We also have no reservations recommending it to any family or friends planning a trip to Maui.

Loved it!!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Hale Kamaole property. As described, the location of the condo unit was well away from busy South Kihei road and the condo complex was conveniently located right across the street from the Kam beach III. The photos certainly represent the unit. It was fabulous and had everything we needed during our week long stay. I kept referring to it as the magic condo - every time I needed something, it seemed to magically appear. :) The beautifully remodeled kitchen had everything you'd expect, plus unexpected items that came in handy (like a blender for smoothies, steak knives, ceramic teapot for a proper pot of tea). The lanai closet was equally surprising and generous in its supplies for beach/BBQ fun!! I would highly recommend this property because of its location, the amenities included, the comfort of the unit itself (felt like home away from home for us) and also the owner's communication. Joanne's e-mail responses were always timely, particularly the date of our arrival when I e-mailed her to let her know we'd be several hours late. She quickly responded not only to me, but contacted Hale Kamaole directly to make sure we had an easy time getting into the condo upon our unexpected nighttime arrival. Can't wait to stay here again!!! Thanks so much!! :)
