We had a lovely stay here. The house was clean and large enough for our family of 5. The kids had so much fun in the lake and it was a great view to enjoy every day.Everything we needed was provided which was the cherry on top. We were traveling from the East Coast - last thing we needed was to travel with linens or other necessities.

Week Escape on the Lake

This was a great property and fit our needs for a week long getaway on the lake. But also close to Grand Rapids for work and activities. Mike was very accommodating and will to help immediately with any questions.

Awesome Vacation Spot!!!

The house is beautiful and the huge windows gave us such a great view of the lake! The beach is literally in the back yard. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend, especially for lake lovers! Check in was very easy and the email I received had all the information that we needed for our stay so it wasn't necessary to even have to call and bother our host. We greatly appreciate our host for everything

Had everything we needed!

Enjoyed a long weekend in early spring. The cabin was well equipped, even had beach towels. While the beach was not quite summer ready yet, we still got to enjoy a relaxing time on the lake. Great spot to bring bikes/scooters for the kids as well. We had a fun time exploring nearby kalamazoo's museums and nature venter.

Jusr the most beautiful and peaceful property to unwind in. I loved the view and the sitting chairs. We played a game they had and I had to order it on the way home. It was so fun! I would love to rent again or hey maybe I can purchase a house on this lake in the future. Yes i loved it that much!

Perfect Getaway

This charming lakefront retreat fit our needs perfectly for our friends getaway on Selkirk Lake. Great views from the deck with lots of room and loads of seating. Inside was neat, clean and very spacious. Kitchen was stocked with all the essentials that we needed. And the owner was quick to respond to our messages. Looking forward to staying here again.

The weather looked bleak heading into our weekend here. But the weather gods gave us plenty of sun shine to enjoy this cozy place. The beds are very small. But comfy. Very friendly neighbors. Throughly loved the escape. Never had a reason to contact the host, which I think speaks volumes of the property and experience.

Fun week on the lake

My parents were here from South Carolina and we thought it would be fun to have a mini vacation. Everything we needed was in the cottage and it was easy to get down to the beach with 2 four year olds. We also met the neighbors and had a pontoon ride. Everybody was very friendly

Relax and enjoy

The property was exactly as described. The only weird thing was the bathroom set up. But everything was clean and well stocked. The lake was so clean and peaceful. Having the kayaks and paddleboat was great. The neighbors were very friendly and talkative but not intrusive. The wildlife was very active. Including 2 bald eagles flying everyday. The fish jumping right off shore. Definitely a place I could have stayed long term!!

Summer 2025

We visited our daughter and husband who recently moved to Michigan from Connecticut, the property was perfect for relaxing and enjoying our time with family! Great views of the lake. The gas grill had a full tank and the kitchen had plenty of cookware and dishes to cook and enjoy a meal with lake views on the deck. Mike was very responsive to text messages. He even brought us a kayak during a heavy rainstorm to ensure we had it at the property when we wanted to use it. I would definitely book another stay here.

Beautiful view

The view was gorgeous. The neighbors were all very friendly. It was awesome having a beach right in our back yard! We fished standing in the water and caught a good amount! The house could have been a little cleaner and the furniture especially the sofas were extremely uncomfortable. Other than that it was a great place for my family.

Great place for our needs

This was a nice property for our stay. We brought a paddle board and kayak and it was perfect on Wednesday and Thursday as it was very calm on the lake. There was a little more wake from boats on Friday and Saturday. It was nice that the Toilet room was separate from the shower room, as we had 6 people staying on Friday and Saturday night. We were the first group to stay at this VRBO and Mike was very attentive and communicated well. We would suggest outdoor rugs at entrances as there was a lot of debris falling from trees, as well as sand being tracked in. We would love to stay at this lovely place again.
