We proactively manage this with a regular pest control service and have also had the home professionally sealed to help prevent activity inside. To help us keep the home pest-free, please avoid leaving doors open or food exposed, as this can attract unwanted visitors. If you have pets with you, please be mindful of the rodent bait stations around the property and ensure they do not access them.
NO-SMOKING OR VAPING
Smoking or vaping is not permitted. A home recovery fee of $500 will be charged if there is a smoke smell following a guest’s departure. If lingering smoke causes the next guest to cancel their stay, the cost of the cancelled reservation will also be charged.
If smoking outdoors, please extinguish and throw all cigarette butts in the outside trash bins. Please do not leave cigarette butts in any indoor trash bins.

There are doggie bags in the cubbies in the foyer and a pooper scooper hanging next to the outside trash bin. We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep the home comfortable for all guests — both with and without pets!
CAMERAS
There are cameras at the front door and by the garage for security purposes. Tampering with or covering cameras in any way compromises security and is grounds for cancellation without refund. We had an incredible stay! The scenic view is absolutely stunning and was the highlight of our stay. The house itself feels very homey and comfortable—perfect for relaxing. Our hosts were wonderful; they were incredibly responsive and accommodating throughout our visit. Highly recommend!
Stayed here with family while we were in town for Broncos Playoff game.Great views, great host, great location. Will reach out again next time we need a cabin!
The views were amazing and it was the perfect place to stay while we celebrated a family member. Comfortable beds and plenty of seating. My only suggestion is to do something about the two steps that lead from hallway to kitchen/living room area. Two of us almost fell twice as it is hard to tell the difference between what is flooring and a stair.

Cynthia,
Thank you so much for your kind review. It was a pleasure hosting you and we truly appreciate your feedback regarding the stairs from the foyer into the living room. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and the views!
It felt like we were at home. Real furniture you would have in your own home, not cheap broken things you’d typically find in a short term rental. The beds and pillows felt new and were extremely comfortable! Communication overall was great. The location is perfect for our needs as family lives in the area. The evening the morning views are worth bringing a camera for. The upper patio is very comfortable.
Great place! We stayed for a week, and it was perfect for 6 adults. Outdoor space is fantastic—deck and acreage were beautiful. Kitchen was an excellent gathering space and equipped to handle all of our meals. Elizabeth was super responsive and accommodating. If we’re in Denver again, we’ll be staying here.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Donald! It was a pleasure hosting you, and I'm glad to hear everything went smoothly and our home met your expectations. We’d love to welcome you back when you're passing through Colorado next year!
We (6 military veterans) stayed here so we could participate in a fundraising event benefitting veterans taking place at The Ridge at Castle Pines. The location was perfect. The accommodations allowed us to comfortably visit with one another and the view was spectacular!! Extremely thankful we found this location and grateful to the generous host who made us feel so welcome.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review—and more importantly, thank you all for your service. I'm truly honored you chose to stay at our home while supporting such a meaningful cause. I’m so glad the space and location worked well for your group, and it was a pleasure having you as guests. You're always welcome back anytime!
I would give this property 5 stars for location, view and cleanliness but the water pressure leaves a lot to be desired and it was either freezing in the house or hot. No in between. The house itself was nice and easy to locate.

Thank you so much for your review! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the location, the view, and the cleanliness of our property, and that you found it easy to locate.
We're sorry to hear that the temperature wasn’t to your comfort preference and that the water pressure didn’t meet your expectations. We would have loved the opportunity to troubleshoot these issues during your stay to help improve your experience, had we known.
For future guests, we have detailed, easy-to-follow, instructions in our house manual on the kitchen island for how to operate the thermostats. The A/C system is a Breezair evaporative cooler with a smart wall controller. It is a newer, high powered, advanced technology for cooling the entire main floor. There are no vents downstairs, but we have never needed them, as the basement stays cool year-round.
Thank you again, Denise, for staying with us and for providing your feedback!
The house was in a gorgeous setting with easy access to food, groceries, or travel to Denver activities. We loved waking up to the surrounding view of the mountains and watching the wildlife. The numerous species of birds were captivating! There was plenty of room for all that stayed to watch tv or gather and talk. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had what we needed to prepare easy meals. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive. We look forward to the next time we can come and stay!

We have waited to post a poor review as it's not something we often do. We arrived to Denver from Florida on a Wednesday evening to start our Son's Wedding Weekend with 6 LARGE pieces of luggage, two carry ons, two personal items and coats in our hands as we had to bring a lot of items to host many activities including a rehearsal dinner in downtown Denver for 100 guests. When we arrived at the property, it was PERFECT! The home, grounds and views were everything we hoped for. It was 5 minutes from the wedding venue, 3 minutes from where we were getting our hair done, grocery stores, Interstate 25 to get downtown to prepare for the rehearsal dinner twice, minutes from where our other guests were staying, minutes to get and return tuxes, etc..., etc...We immediately went in on Wednesday and unpacked and hung up our wedding attire, unpacked what we needed for each day to take places and took stock of what we needed. We immediately went to get something to eat and to the grocery store, where we bought a lot of bags of groceries. We went to bed that night and I kept hearing what sounded like scratching. I woke my husband and he said it probably was the icemaker. Needless to say, I didn't sleep. The next early morning, as we're on Florida time, my husband went to the bathroom and a rodent crawled over his feet. He then went to the dining room table to work and watched the rodents running around. It is not going to let me finish this story as it limits the word count...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Sherri. We were truly sorry to learn how upsetting this was, especially during such an important family weekend. Guest comfort is very important to us, and we regret that this impacted your stay.
Given the home’s country setting, we take pest prevention seriously. The home has since been fully sealed to help prevent future activity and remains on a regular professional pest management program.
When the concern was first reported, we immediately refunded the first night of the stay and offered prompt solutions, including an additional pest service visit and an alternative nearby home. While those options were declined at the time, we remain committed to responding quickly and thoroughly whenever concerns arise.
Our pest control team also left brand-new traps with attractant outside the door for optional use; however, they were discarded under the assumption they were used. As shown in the photo provided, the activation staples were still in place, confirming the traps had not been set.
We appreciate the positive comments about the home, location, and grounds, and we sincerely regret that this issue overshadowed what should have been a joyful and memorable occasion.
