Exclusive Beach House

This 2 bedroom house is situated on the north-west side of Andros Island overlooking the famous Cavo D’ Oro sea-passage and facing the neighbouring island of Evia where you can enjoy the beautiful ocean and sunset view.
It is a combination of traditional and romantic house that offers you what you expect from your vacations. The 2 bedrooms, both offering double beds, and one bathroom, can all be found at the same level of the house.
The house is sufficiently equipped for a pleasant stay with Air-condition.
The house has a living room with a fireplace and sofa. There is also a well equipped kitchen along with a 6 person dining area. From here you can step out to the huge balcony in front of the house to enjoy the magnificent sea view or even have your dinner outside. The barbeque and the outdoor dining area are available anytime you feel like staying in and be the chef! Then, you can relax on the specially purpose designed-built outdoors sofa.
And now for something very rarely offered in summer accommodation around the world.
A private beach! For a relaxing day you can enjoy swimming in the calm waters of a private beach situated in front of the house. A small, specially built, 30m stone-built pathway leads you down to the beach were you can enjoy the sea, all alone with your partner, family and friends, whether it means just lying under the sun or even snorkeling in one of the best spots around the island situated exactly in front of the beach.
The house is a 25 minute drive from the port of Gavrio and in another 15 mins you will find yourself in Batsi, the most picturesque little village of Andros, with coffee shops, tavernas and bars. In between Gavrio and Batsi, some of the most beautiful sandy beaches can be found. That is, if you still want to leave your own private beach, 1 min walk from your doorstep!
Andros does not have an airport, so you will need to land at the Athens airport (El. Venizelos). From there it is a 25mins drive to Rafina Port where the ferry to Andros Island will take you in just less than 2hours. Please note that if you want to explore Andros, many of the roads might require a 4X4 car for ease of driving. Please feel free to ask detailed info prior to booking. My name is Yannis. We spent a very good vacation and felt very special because the house is very private, you have no neighbours and even your own little beach. Still the house is easily accessible with the car (15 minutes drive from Gavrio). Great views from the terrace and even from the kitchen table inside! The host was very helpful and friendly.

Absolutely Fantastic!

The house was warm and inviting inside with the most spectacular views from the patio. The private beach was amazing. The entire island was a beautiful place to explore with friendly people.

Amazing and beautiful place.

The house is very cosy. It has a wonderful terrace with the best view thinkable. 30 steeps down you reach the 100 meter wide private beach equipped with sun chair’s, a parasol and a 2 person’s kayak. Yannis, the owner of the house is a super host who will do anything possible to make your stay the best. We had a absolute great time in this jewel.

Stunning location and delightful owner

The location of this house seriously can't be beaten. Watching the sun set over the blue ocean with a glass of wine was truly idyllic. And having our own beach meant we felt like the only people on the whole island. The house itself was charming, and Yannis was incredibly thoughtful and helpful both before the trip and during our stay. The whole family loved the relaxed vibe of the house and the very special location. I would thoroughly recommend the house, and only wish that our stay could have been longer. Thank you Yannis!

Paradise - perfect

Beautiful house at fantastic location. Great terrasse, nice little beach. Andros is such an interesting and beautiful island, but staying at Ioannis house, you won´t want to move anywhere - you just want to enjoy the place... Very well equipped house. Nothing is missing. Very good communication. Ioannis was very helpful and friendly, he gave us good tipps and was always "there" to help. Our children also loved the place and did not want to leave. Thank you so much! We hope to come back soon!

Amazing two weeks holiday

We have fallen in love with Andros and with this house. We’ve rented maybe 35 holiday homes around the Med over the years including around a dozen in Greece, and this is one of the very best. Stunning location, clean, comfortable, well equipped, main bed very comfortable indeed and a great shower which is not always the case in holiday homes. Was it worth the two year wait as originally booked for June 2020? Yes 100%. Is it worth the much commented on steep and bumpy ride to and from the house? Yes 100%, I am actually going to miss it! Yannis is a delight to deal with, communicative, helpful and responsive. Do we intend to return in the future? Yes 100%.

Great seaside getaway

Lovely well equipped home with larger living space than we expected from the photos. Very private & peaceful with stunning views and a great little private beach in a sheltered bay. Yannis was really helpful throughout the stay and the caretaker Ayet met us from the boat and guided us to the property (which was needed as it is very out of the way) Be warned that access is via a very steep bumpy dirt road which really does need a 4x4 and confident driver. It's worth it though for real privacy and a wonderful getaway. The bay was good for swimming with children and spotting fish snorkeling. The kayak and life vests provided we're also great. It was very windy on the island for the last few days - the beach remained sheltered but the balcony was less so. We had an illness in our group whilst there (nothing to do with the property or Greece even) - the local pharmacy and doctor in Gavrio were really helpful and thorough, Yannis also offered us help if we needed it which was appreciated. If you want a quiet place to relax and unwind in the sun you can't do much better.

Excellent retreat in the hills of Andros

We booked the beach house back in 2019 for my wife and I and our 3 children, but Mr Covid decided to put hold on it for 2years. We finally in August 2022 got there with only 3 of us cause in the 2 years that passed our other 2 children where on their own holidays 😂. As regards to the beach absolutely loved it especially snorkeling in sea and using the kayak which our 13yr old boy loved both of which Yannis had left for guest to use, the beach is equipped with sunloungers and a fixed parasol. The house is very spacious and is full of all kinds of usefull items and plenty of cooking / eating utensils.The beds are comfy with plenty of spare sheets and towels provided and all with quiet air conditioning. As for the island we went on a few trips out batsi, Andros and our nearby gavrio all really good places with plenty of eating/ drinking establishments, we always went every couple days to gavrio for supplies and definitely recommend the fresh fish and vegetables store the fish was amazing on the barbecue, slightly got addicted to them 😃. Yannis for the passed 2 years was an absolute gent of a guy really helpful ( thanks Yannis) and thanks to Ayet he was the guy who met us at the car hire place and took us to the supermarket and showed us to the house. Overall we'd highly recommend and defo 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Pure Relaxation

The Ioannis holiday home is one of a kind. It is not a sterile accommodation designed for tourists, but a house used by the owner himself, which is furnished with a lot of taste and love and where you immediately feel at home. Already before our arrival, Ioannis provided us with detailed and helpful information about the house, the island and the means of transport, which we could make good use of for our travel planning. A friend of Yannis picked us up from the ferry, guided us to the house via supermarket and bakery in Gavrio and gave us a briefing about the house. The communication with our host was excellent. Even information, which could deter guests possibly (2 km dirt road on the way to the house), was openly communicated, so we could rely on finding everything as described. Ioannis even considered some extra wishes on our part. We rented the house in the second half of October for 18 days as a location for exploring the island of Andros on foot and by car. At the end of an eventful day, we were always happy to "come home", take a short swim in the sea (really comfortable thanks to the private beach) and enjoy the view to the sea with a sundowner on the terrace, paradisiacal peace guaranteed! Entertainment was also secured thanks to WLAN and Bluetooth speaker. Since some taverns already close in October, we cooked a lot, which was a pleasure thanks to the very well equipped kitchen. Overall, we were completely satisfied.

Traumhafte Unterkunft

Man findet hier absolute Entspannung, außer den Geräuschen des Meeres hört man hier nichts. Es ist an alles gedacht und am Strand liegt sogar ein Paddelboot um das Mittelmeer vom Wasser zu erkunden. Die Anfahrt ist sportlich aber dank der Empfehlung des Vermieters mit Allrad überhaupt kein Problem. Im beschaulichen Gavrio findet man alles was man zum Leben benötigt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet so das man sehr gut jeden Tag kochen kann. Einzig ein Reiskocher oder evtentuell eine Mikrowelle zum aufwärmen könnte noch hinzugefügt werden, aber das braucht man auch nicht wirklich. Wir haben jeden Tag diesen traumhaften Ort einfach nur genossen. Nächstes Jahr kommen wir wieder. Für Fragen stand unser Vermieter jederzeit zur Verfügung. Am Abreisetag hat er auch super unseren Transfer von Rafina zum Flughafen organisiert, so das wir auch unseren sehr knappen Flug entspannt erreicht haben.

Schönes Haus, Schöner Strand

Das Haus ist sehr schön, der Strand auch, leider ist die Anfahrt etwas beschwerlich, Daher nur für furchtlose Fahrer , der Weg zum sehr schönen Strand ist nichts für ältere Leute.

Traumhafte Auszeit

Für uns war das gut ausgestattete Strandhaus der perfekte Ort. Die einzig wichtigen Fragen in der Zeit waren, wann was gegessen oder getrunken wird, wann man das nächste mal schwimmen oder mit dem hauseigenen Kanu paddeln geht. Die Insel Andros ist insgesamt ein Geheimtipp für alle, die abseits der Touristenrouten unterwegs sind und sich trotzdem über ein tolles gastronomsiches Angebot freuen.

Villa in traumhafter Alleinlage, toller Ausblick mit Sonnenuntergang und eigener Privatstrand

Wenn man ein einsames Haus in traumhafter Lage sucht, ist man mit dieser Villa genau richtig. Die Zufahrt war für uns überhaupt kein Problem, ist aber aufgrund der holprigen und steilen Strassen sicher nicht jedermanns Sache. Der eigene Strand ist natürlich das Highlight, er ist von der Strasse komplett uneinsehbar, genügend Liegen, ein fixer Sonnenschirm und ein Kayak sind vorhanden. Die Terrasse ist gut ausgestattet, der Sonnenuntergang wunderschön. Das Haus selbst ist ebenso gut ausgestattet und vollständig eingerichtet. Es macht den Eindruck, als würde man in sein eigenes Privatferienhaus fahren, für seine persönlichen Sachen muss man sich etwas Platz schaffen, da der Gastgeber viel Wert auf Dekoration legt. Alles in allem verbrachten wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub hier, der Gastgeber war besonders bemüht und im laufenden WhatsApp mit Tipps in Kontakt mit uns.

Beautiful Retreat in Andros

Yannis is probably the nicest host I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with while renting – really great feeling from beginning to end. The house and especially the location are just incredible. Lots of personal touches that make it feel welcoming, but not too much that it's smoothering. You have everything you need to be comfortable, and cook, etc. The drive in is rough and requires at least a small SUV, but it's nothing that can't be handled – and the good thing is that there's essentially no reason to leave the house accept for occasional supplies at the grocery in Gavros. We'll be back soon I hope :)

Glorious beach

Really lovely traditional house with lots of outside space. Great views including wonderful sunsets. Quite remote. Which we loved. Although the port of Gavrio is not far away the drive on the dirt tracks is a bit daunting at first, but we got used to it very quickly. Yannis, the owner, is super helpful. The best thing about it is the private beach. Just absolutely glorious. Such a privilege to have that all to ourselves.

Erholsamer Urlaub am Meer in traumhafter Lage

Es waren wunderbare Tage im Haus von Yannis. Es ist ein wunderschönes Haus. Die Einrichtung hat uns besonders gut gefallen, da es mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet ist. Wir sind fast die ganze Zeit unseres Aufenthalts am Haus geblieben, da wir uns gar nicht von der herrlichen Aussicht satt sehen konnten. Der Strand, das Meer einfach alles wunderschön und in Alleinlage. Wow! Yannis stand uns jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung, was in diesen besonderen Zeiten sehr hilfreich war. Die Anfahrt ist etappenweise schon etwas anspruchsvoll jedoch gut zu meistern. Wir möchten unbedingt wiederkommen. Herzlichen Dank an Yannis und sein Team für unseren schönen Aufenthalt.

Ruhe und Meer

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Vor allem die Ruhe. Von der Terrasse hat man einen wundervollen Blick auf das Meer. Man hört nur die Wellen und die Zikaden. Genau was wir wollten. Das Haus hat alles, was man im Urlaub braucht. Etwas ganz besonderes ist natürlich auch der Privatstrand. Man kann dort herrlich entspannen und mal schnell vor dem Frühstück ins Wasser springen. Ein großes Danke auch nochmals an Yannis. Er stand uns immer bei allen unseren Fragen zur Verfügung. Gerade in diesem Jahr auch bereits vor der Reise. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Un petit coin de paradis

Un petit coin de Paradis à 15 minutes de Gavrio. La maison est très agréable à vivre, très belle et bien pensée. Vue magnifique sur la mer, la plage privée est superbe et l’eau cristalline. On a qu’une envie, c’est de rester et de profiter de l’endroit. Ioannis a été super accueillant, et nous a très gentillement aidé pour nos bagages, qui s’étaient Perdus et sont arrivés le lendemain ... On reviendra très certainement avec plaisir....

Private, peaceful Beach Vacation!

The Andros beach house is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the beauty of this island. Our family most enjoyed dinners on the breathtaking patio watching sunsets and the stars, and the dream of our own private beach and daily dips into the refreshing Aegean. Ioannis was a gracious host, covering all bases, open communication, and introducing us to the most helpful people on the island.

Amazing!

We have traveled all over Europe but our stay here is in the top of our ‘best of’ list in all aspects! The view was STUNNING, the house was clean and traditional, the beach with crystal clear waters was all ours(!), the owner, Yannis, is very friendly and easy to reach any time ready to answer and help in any way. Une magnifique maison dans un paysage superbe!

C'est un véritable petit coin de paradis, où l'on apprécie le calme, la tranquillité et la beauté des paysages! La maison est spacieuse et confortable, et surtout la terrasse offre une vue magnifique sur la mer. Et comme promis, il y a bien une plage privée! Nous avons passé 9 jours à faire du snorkling, dans les eaux turquoises d'Andros. (Surtout pensez à vous munir de masques, palmes et tubas!). Merci à Yannis pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité ! Tout était parfaitement bien organisé pour que nous passions de superbes vacances !
