About this property

A vast village villa with stunning views, an outdoor garden, a pool, and AC.

The Villa Rouge is located in the heart of the village, right next to the main square and the many restaurants and cafés, galleries and shops but not too close to enjoy some quiet time. Everything you need is just a short-walk away : the bakery, butcher, supermarket, tobacco store, post-office, doctor and chemist’s store. Luberon offers you the best of Provence : a sweet climate, many cultural sites to visit, as well as an authentic nature, delicious local products, and a craftsmanship to discover.
The Villa was built in 1849, in the typical architecture of Luberon. Perched on the hill-top, you’ll benefit from an exceptional panoramic view on the Mont Ventoux, the famous mountain in the French artist Paul Cezanne’s paintings, as well as on the plateau of Vaucluse, the ochre quarries and surrounding vineyards.
Its decor, inspired by Provençal style, is authentic and sophisticated, and offers great comfort. The villa has 3 bedrooms equipped with air con each , one of them a Suite. Each room has a bathroom (a shower for both rooms and a bathtub /shower for the Suite) The vast lounge of 60m² is very bright and perfect to relax in. You can browse through the books put at your disposal. There is WIFI connection, Apple TV, Sonos system for your device to play music, games and books.
The house revolves around its “cathedral” kitchen, fully equipped. Located on the ground floor, it has an incredible view on the mount Ventoux. We have a laundry with a washing machine, a dryer and washing line at the garage level. To park your car, I'll give you a special card for the resident parking at 4 minutes walking distance from the house. Otherwise you have a public parking at 1 min walking distance . The garage door is quite fragile so we only use the indoor parking for emergencies or for the maids service. But we can let you in if you can be careful with garage door system.
The house offers the perfect combination to guarantee you an unforgettable stay in the Luberon : a perfect location in a mythical village.

Why they chose this property

The village of Roussillon is one of the most beautiful of France and the second most visited in the Luberon after the village of Gordes. With its festival of ochre colors and hill-top position, it is one of Provence’s jewels. It is hard to depict the true splendor of Roussillon. 17 shades of ochre paint the village’s houses. Imagine the amazing contrast with the green pines, blue sky and red cliffs… Roussillon, with its history, vineyards and unique location, is the French savoir-vivre at its best. In the region of Provence, between the mountains of the Luberon and the Vaucluse, Roussillon sparkles with ochred light. Discover this unique mineral treasure of surprising blazing colors, right in the heart of the world’s most important ochre deposit.
