About this property
Spacious Family Beach House Steps to Water
Our "NotSoTiny Beach House" is a spacious home, that has a cozy cottage feel with its pine floors and ceilings. It is only a 100 meter walk to the beach on Georgian Bay! Tiny Township boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Ontario, and year round stunning Georgian Bay sunsets. It is also a short drive to skiing (downhill resorts and cross country trails) and hiking trails.

The space
Always the traveller, rarely the host. But now as a host, in our “NotsoTiny Beach House,” we know what we like and what’s important to make a stay feel like a home away from home.
The Inside Space
When we bought this incredible house, we absolutely loved the open space. The main floor is wide open for gathering. The kitchen is well-equipped to make meals and pour drinks, with the cook and bartender right there, part of the action. Although due to licensing requirements, we are only able to list for 6 people and 3 bedrooms, we do have 5 bedrooms total, spread out on three levels, 2750 sq ft, and a full bathroom on each floor! (If you require use of the bedrooms on the lower floor for your group of 6, there will be an additional cleaning fee added on.)
Working remotely has been a huge part of our lives the last couple of years, so we purposefully placed the workspace including a desk, desk chair and a 21-inch Dell monitor, looking out a large window towards Georgian Bay. This is the only space that is shared with the large main floor bedroom that has a queen size bed.
The upper floor is home to a cozy queen room and the largest bedroom with a king size bed. This is the room for the early risers as the open “window” to downstairs is an incredible feature that we love for the view, however, it’s not very sound proof!
The lower floor is big and bright, and a walk-out. There is an open space to come in from the beach, right next to the large laundry area with both a washer and dryer. We would have especially loved this space when our kids were younger! Downstairs also has another seating area for additional space to spread out and a pull-out double futon (bring your own double linens for the futon, if needed). Lots to do both inside and out. Puzzles, books, games, DVDs, (to be used only in the cottage) and of course, Wifi, and access to your Netflix or other streaming services on both Smart TVs in the house.
The Outside Space
Have a seat on a Muskoka chair, out on the deck, in the warmer months - a perfect spot to sit with your morning coffee and a good book, listening to the waves and a view to the beach only 100 m away. In the cooler months, you can cozy up inside and be assured that you will still have that sunny view of the water through the huge windows of the great room.
Nearby
Collingwood and the Village of Blue Mountain is a 75 minute drive away. In fact, Blue Mountain can be seen from the beach, across the bay, on clear days. There are also plenty of trails nearby to be explored on foot or by bike.
In the warmer months, it’s only steps to our beach access to go for a swim, a paddle, or to take a lawn chair down to read or watch the amazing Georgian Bay sunsets. If you would like to head to a larger beach, Tiny Township boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Ontario. Our property is closest to the public beaches of Lafontaine Beach and Balm Beach.
When our beach house isn’t being rented, we will be using it as a family, so we, unfortunately, aren’t able to allow pets due to family allergies. If you rent from us, you may notice that the main floor hardwood floors have been scratched by a big dog - the furry friend of a previous owner!
** Tiny Township has a VERY strict 24 hour noise bylaw, making this property best suited for family holidays.**
Other things to note
Bedding and shower towels are provided.
In the summer, please bring your own beach towels and hang outside on line to dry; not in dryer because of sand. If you plan on swimming, bring water shoes along for areas with stones. Beaches in Tiny have both beautiful sand and colourful stones.
