Everything was as expected and advertised. We felt very comfortable with the accommodations. The staff was very kind and accommodating and the fellow guests were also respectful during our stay.
Upon arrival at treasure island hotel and marina we were told we had no reservation. They had no record of us. We had confirmation email of our confirmed, fully paid reservation from VRBO printed out. The front desk called the hotel manager who also said we had no reservation. Major stress! We had just driven 2 days. This was during spring break weeks and they had few empty rooms. I called VrBO. They were very kind, knew we had a paid reservation, and they called the hotel. Several minutes later we were given a room - not the room we had reserved. They gave us only a 2 day parking pass when we had paid for 2 weeks stay several months ago. They said on Monday when the manager came in they would talk to us. Monday came and no one talked to us. We asked for, and received, a parking pass for the rest of the two weeks. No one said anything. No notice that the reservation issue was resolved, no apology, nothing. I recommend that anyone staying at this hotel call several days ahead and make sure their reservation has been received. The hotel pool was not heated as the advertisement said. The water was quite cold. I asked the desk what the water temp was and she said they have no way of knowing since the heater is still broken from the hurricanes. I guess no one sells thermometers here. Not being able to swim was a major disappointment also.
