We really enjoyed our stay! Loved the lake was level with house. We had everything we needed. It was rainy several days, but the games provided fun family time. The location is great. Quiet road and close to several towns. Would stay here again!
The cabin had everything we needed and the location was perfect. I needed a level lot / lake access and this was spot on, no steps or hills to get to the dock, this was it. Beautiful lake view
Overall, we had a nice stay. The management team was super responsive and we felt like we could always rely on them. The interior of the cabin was very clean and what we expected. The exterior could use some work. We wanted to be able to play yard games, but were limited to the driveway since the yard had not been cleaned up, most notably animal poop everywhere. Also, the images of the lake made it look like there were no weeds in the lake off the dock, but we couldn't swim off the dock because the weeks overtook the water. Lastly, I would advise that the owners invest in new seating for the long indoor table, specifically the benches. They are uneven and not up to code. When I was sitting on the end of one when my friends got up, it was lopsided and I fell to the floor and hit my head on the wall. It was dangerous and could seriously hurt someone in the future.

Hi Kyle, thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Nick’s Lakeside Lodge. I’m glad to hear you found the cabin clean and our team responsive during your stay. I do want to address your concerns.
We’ve since completed a full yard cleanup and will be monitoring outdoor areas more frequently so guests can fully enjoy yard games and other activities. The droppings you encountered were most likely from the bears and other wildlife that are abundant in the area — we’ll take extra steps to check and clear the yard prior to arrivals.
Regarding the lake, seasonal weed growth can vary quickly depending on weather and lake conditions. While we strive to keep the dock area as clear as possible, we’ll be adding notes to our listing so guests know what to expect during midsummer when growth can be heavier.
As for the indoor table seating, Nick’s Lakeside Lodge is a 100-year-old rustic cabin, and some furnishings reflect that vintage character. We’ll continue to monitor them for safety, but they are part of the historic charm of the home.
Thank you again for your feedback — it helps us make meaningful improvements for future guests.
