***** History & Character
This estate has a rich past—originally a private hunting lodge in the 1950's and ’60's, it’s now being made available to the public for the very first time. We’re currently collaborating with the San Lorenzo Valley Museum to document more of its hidden history.
For the last 40 years, it’s been home to former executives from Apple, Oracle, HP, Adobe, Nvidia, and Motorola. The home has been thoughtfully remodeled to the highest standards, while preserving its original charm, including the wood-look natural gas fireplace in the main lodge.
***** Location & Pool Info
You're just a short walk to historic downtown Boulder Creek, including charming shops and the legendary Scopazzi’s Restaurant.
Our resurfaced pool (PebbleTec, May 2025) is open mid-May to late October, heated via solar panels. While we’ll do our best to keep it warm, temperatures may vary depending on weather conditions.
***** Sustainability & Guest Consideration
We're on a septic system, so we ask guests to help minimize paper waste in toilets. Please turn off lights when not in use—this helps us keep rates affordable for everyone.
***** Local Dining & Downtown Highlights (10-Min Walk)
Bonus: We’ve partnered with Aroma’s Restaurant in nearby Ben Lomond—mention us for a free appetizer (advance notice required)!
****** About Us
We live on the lower level of the home full time, as disclosed in the Guest Interaction section. You’ll rarely see us, but we’re nearby to take care of:
Pool chemicals & spa programming

We want your stay to be as smooth and memorable as possible—no surprises, just thoughtful hospitality.
Let us know how we can make your visit unforgettable. This is more than just a stay—it’s a piece of hidden California history.

The home was spacious and comfortable. Very clean. Pictures didn't do it justice . Hosts were gracious and responsive. Boulder Creek is resplendent with nature's beauty and the home is reflective of it.
The house is amazing! The deck in the evenings under the redwoods was just what we needed. The kitchen is well equipped, the rooms are nice and big and each has its own bathroom.. major bonus! It was very clean and we loved the living room conversation area by the fire. I arrived before my family and was greeted by Alex and Nuby which I thought was a nice touch! We will definitely be back!
What a wonderful experience! Alex and Nuby were such a amazing and generous hosts. Everything was very clean and organized and the beds were so incredibly comfortable! Sitting around the fireplace in that great living room was such a perfect way to end the day. We were able to get to Santa Cruz easily and being in the redwoods was so nice. Great experience! Thank you, Alex and Nuby!
Alex and Nuby were great hosts and gave us great recommendations for food. House was super clean and everything was great. We appreciated the electric kettle- so convenient. We loved the fireplace. We had a lot of space for our party of 5. WiFi worked great for our son’s homework. Altogether we had a wonderful stay.
What a wonderful home and relaxing way to spend New Years Eve. Beautiful, spacious home, Large comfortable rooms each with their own shower. Close to area restaurants and attractions. Alex and Nuby welcomed us into their home and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. I’m glad we found this gem.
This house and these hosts are top notch. The house alone is enough to earn a 5 star review. It's beautifully furnished and it has a ton of character. The bedrooms are big, have comfortable beds, and have really nice full bathrooms. There is an amazing pool, and I hope to get to come back and use it in the near future. The little town is a short walk away. We tried 3 of the restaurants while we were there, Scopazzi's, Bella's, and Tree Hiuse, and they were all really good. As amazing as all of this was, you get to add Alex and Nuby on top of that. They are the best hosts. They feel like close friends within a couple of minutes of talking to them. They go iout of their way to make your stay the best it can be. We do hope to come back to this property again in the future.
Well maintained property with attentive hosts. Peaceful, clean and comfortable home. Will return to attend more concerts at Mountain Winery! We enjoyed our stay.
This home is very roomy and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped; which is very important to me because I need a house with a full kitchen for Christmas and this house did not disappoint. The floors were heated and there was a gas stove that finished heating the rest of the living area. Bedrooms were large and each had a full bathroom. We are planning to return soon!
This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay - the photos don't even do it justice. Our family of 4 loved swimming in the pool under the redwoods, reading on the deck, playing board games in the great room in the evenings, cooking in the lovely and spacious kitchen, and enjoying redwood hikes. The hosts were gracious and super helpful! thank you - we'd love to come back and visit again!
Lovely place with everything we needed nestled in the redwoods of Big Basin. Close to all the coastal things we needed too. Wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to help us with our needs for the Sea Otter Classic.
Alex and Nuby were wonderful hosts! They were extremely communicative and accommodating. Their home is beautiful and was the perfect getaway for a girls’ weekend.
Alex was a great host and the house was beautiful. Our kids loved the pool and hot tub and the area around the house. The beds were amazing too. If we come back to the area we will definitely want to stay here again.
It was wonderful. Alex and Nuby were so accommodating. The place was very organized, clean, spacious, and full of so much character. It was so cozy. We would definitely recommend this to others. Thank you for creating such a memorable space.
Beautiful home, homeowners were very accommodating. There was some confusion with the booking and owner immediately remedied the situation. Great place for a family or a few couples!
My husband and I decided to stay at this wonderful property for some much needed relaxing time. We enjoyed completely unplugging from the world and just enjoying each other’s company. The owners were very communicative and inviting. We would definitely stay here again.
The house has undergone a lot of updates and upgrades, which clearly show the pride of the owners... good wifi, comfy beds, nice grill on the deck, freshly resurfaced pool, some fun, retro stylings in the kitchen and bedrooms. It's in a quiet hillside neighborhood, far enough from the road that it's quiet all day, but only 1 minute to the town grocery store, taqueria (Los Gallos for the win!), coffee shop, and more. We stayed 3 nights with the whole family, including 2 kids. Visited nearby state parks, the Santa Cruz beach area, and spent plenty of time in the pool and hot tub, plus smores at the fire pit on our last night. Alex and Nuby were kind, hospitable, and took great care of us.
