Very nice for a couple to stay. Location to all restaurants downtown was great. Short ride to the beach. Highly recommend this place when staying downtown Pensacola.
I understand that the host cannot control the weather, and thus he cannot make the temperature outside be above freezing. However, the day I arrived the AC was on and the unit was well below comfortable levels. I could see my breath inside the unit. I was able to change it to heat but it never warmed to comfortable level on the first 24 hrs I was in the unit. At bedtime Saturday night, I found the space heater which was able to blow enough heat to make it barely acceptable under covers.I was asked to drip the sinks and shower, which I did, but the water pipes still froze leaving me with no water Sunday morning. They did restore water and did something to the heat because when I returned Sunday evening I did have heat and water. They said the heater was working properly but I found it very odd that it hadnt worked up outside but suddenly inside was much warmer, when I checked at lunch time.I like the unit, but will not stay here again if the forecast is calling for low temps. Also, you can insulate pipes, frozen pipes are not "unavoidable" as the host message implied.
We were in town for a beach wedding with friends. We were basically only there to sleep and get ready in the mornings. With that being said, two really important things (to us) were missing. There is only a 4-cup coffee maker, which means only one full cup of coffee at a time. Also, there is no full-length mirror anywhere. Due to the price, these things would not be deal breakers for me. But it's definitely something I would have liked to know, so that I could prepare. Communication with the owner was great! He was very prompt in answering questions and that goes a long way with me.
