Welcome to Sonoran Hacienda, our family's desert oasis. Enjoy our newly-renovated, upscale home with saltillo tile floors, modern stainless steel appliances, and natural mesquite touches throughout. The sparkling pool can be heated upon request for an additional fee. Enjoy the many shady spots around our grounds: the custom wrought-iron gazebo, our fun "cantina y golf club" putting green, and outdoor dining/grill. Close to UofA, great restaurants, and great hiking and cycling.
The large kitchen boasts upscale stainless appliances and lots of space. There is a custom mequite bar top with stools, as well as a breakfast nook where you can gaze out the window at the rich cactus garden. The kitchen opens up to the family room, with a TV, sofa, and large Mexican pine dining table. Large windows let in light from the side yard and the front.
Bedrooms:
1. The Master Bedroom has a king bed, beautiful Mexican pine headboard, and custom wood furniture crafted by local artists. There is a TV, plenty of closet space, and an en-suite bathroom with shower.
2. The King Bedroom has a king bed, antique Mexican pine cabinet, plenty of closet space and local art on the walls.
3. The Queen Bedroom has a queen bed, plenty of closet space, and locally-crafted furnitue and mirror.
4. The Two Twins has two twin beds, and is accessed via a barn door from the kitchen. Both twin beds are fine for adults, one is raised about 1.5 feet from the ground. The room is furnished with a rustic dresser, a fun craft table with board games, and southwestern decor. The room exits to the backyard.
Our home fits 8 comfortably, but at 1400 square feet it's not a large house. If you like to sprawl out indedpendently inside, you might be cramped. We use the outdoor areas a lot!
The outside:
The grounds are so special! Our sparkling pool can be heated upon request for an additional fee. Relax in the large, custom wrought iron gazebo adorned with handcrafted Sonoran desert wildlife. Our "Cantina Y Golf Club" is a shady bar area that lets out on a 3-hole putting green, complete with clubs, balls, and a cornhole set. The firepit is great for warming up or cooking steak over mesquite in the evenings.
On the side of the house, off the kitchen, is an outdoor Mexican mosaic table, a shade tree, and a BBQ propane grill.
If you would like the pool heated in winter, the price is $65/night or $350/week due to the price of natural gas. You must put on the solar cover each night, and the pool must be heated for the entire stay. Inquire for details.
