The apartment is compact but excellently set-up. Everything you need is there. The location is absolutely beach-side, but in a country environment. For myself I traveled easily back & forth between here and the delightful country town of Papar and the capital, Kota Kinabalu. The apartment is contained in a gated development. The locals range from those on modest salaries to successful professionals. All are typical Malaysians with a ready smile in return for your passing greeting. The local small traders can provide much of what you need, otherwise go to KK by bus and see the real country life. Robert is a five-star host. I cannot praise him too highly. Any tiny problem is handled immediately if not sooner. He has some delightful friends living nearby who will happily help with advice and help (& laundry) if needed. This is the place if you seek to "live for a while in country Malaysia" and perhaps the closest you will get to living in a Kampung 50 years ago (yes, I did that). My thanks to Robert.
