Luxury mountain house steps from the ski hill

Enjoy the perfect mountain home for your large family or group! The home sits in a peaceful section of the Spanish Peaks Mountain Club (members only) just a 1/2 mile drive up the mountain from the new Montage Hotel.

The house offers direct ski access just steps from the house in the winter. Pop your skis on and wind down the trail past the Spanish Peaks clubhouse and Montage Hotel to the Lewis & Clarke ski lift. In the summer the house sits just off the 17th fairway of the beautiful Spanish Peaks golf course and is directly connected to many miles of trails that wind through the spectacular surrounding mountains.

In the winter the home also offers direct access to an extensive cross country ski trail network and is a short drive to snowmobiling, including in the unparalleled Yellowstone National Park.

In the summer there are of course the trails to enjoy, but also easy access to world class fishing and is a short drive to Yellowstone.

The house has 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms that includes 3 master suites with king size bed, A bunk room that sleeps 5, and 2 bedrooms (one with a kind bed, the other with twin beds) on the top floor with a Jack and Jill bathroom.

The entry to the house leads into a mudroom to drop all the clothes and gear from outside fun before leading into an open room with vaulted ceilings that includes a renovated kitchen, dining and living areas. Downstairs, along with 2 bedrooms and 3 full baths is an additional sitting room with a TV, indoor fireplace, and direct access to the hot tub. Another great space for the full group, or an option to offer to kids.

Family Ski Trip

Our families really enjoyed the location of this ski in/out house. The house has plenty of bedrooms and hang out space for everyone to spread out. Kitchen had everything you needed and new appliances. Great rental in Spanish Peaks!

We recently stayed at your beautiful house with our entire family of 11, celebrating our fiftieth wedding anniversary. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations....the house was beautifully furnished with everything needed to make our stay very comfortable and convenient.....lots of amenities! Any of our questions were promptly answered. The house is also conveniently located, close to hiking trails, golf course and town of Big Sky. We give it a rating of 10!

My family and I stayed here for 2 weeks after Christmas through New Year's, and we all agreed it was a fantastic trip with a very accommodating host. Before arrival, we planned to do a lot of cooking each day and a little NYE party, and I was able to message Tim, the owner, who made sure we had all the kitchen utensils and tools we needed. The pantry had some unopened condiments, and the spice rack was loaded with items left by prior guests, which was nice. You can get (expensive) groceries from the local markets in Big Sky, but we opted to hit Costco in Bozeman.The location is beautiful, quiet, and low-key. But still close enough to the Montage if you want to be pampered and dine out. The location is really great if you are a skier. The residential access trail is about 50 yards up the street, so it's an easy walk. Just beyond the trail is the golf course, which was covered in snow, meaning the kids were playing in it and sledding down the hill. The snow was unusually thin the first week we were there, but eventually came down around 1 to 6 inches each day for about a week straight. The hot tub was essential at the end of each day.The towels looked and felt brand new, the furniture and beds were in great shape, and the house itself was well-maintained. You know a place is great if you plan to return. Well, the family all decided to make the journey back there again for another post-Christmas trip in the not-so-distant future, so that should indicate how we feel!

This home has been designed as a high end getaway for our family to enjoy the spectacular setting of Big Sky. This is not a standard rental product. Having other people come in and enjoy what we love so much is one of our goals.

Why they chose this property

The house sits steps from a ski slope leading down past the Spanish Peaks Mountain Club clubhouse and the Montage Hotel to the lift. We love the setting that has a small number of homes around us with no construction or through traffic. It is perfectly peaceful.

We bought the home for skiing in the winter, and quickly realized that summer and autumn in Big Sky are our favorite seasons. It is truly a special place.

What makes this property unique

Big Sky has skiing that I consider unparalleled in the US. However, this is no longer an undiscovered gem. While lift lines are still a rarity, it is difficult to find a location around that mountain that is not surrounded by construction activity. This house is removed from all of those distractions so you can enjoy all that is great about Big Sky.
